A Sudden Expedition - I

Xyno wakes up at 7 in the morning and freshens up to continue his daily life as an assistant. While standing against the mirror he sees a young man with a good physique standing 5 feet 7 inches tall. He had a handsome face, black hair, and sky blue eyes.

A couple of years have passed by and Xyno is now 14 years of age but he looks more mature. If not for confirming his age though medical means Regina would have doubted that he is some year more in age. His body growth is abnormal and he is even more charming than in his last life.

The maid comes into the room to wake Xyno up, but seeing he is already awake she tells him that breakfast is ready and leaves the room.

Xyno freshens up to start his day as an assistant. Instead of doing chores he now does some real work due to his abnormal speed of learning he caught up with this world's technology.

Xyno now is the Head Assistant of Professor Regina alongside Maria. He was a quick learner and performed his tasks well. Since his main work was collecting field data, he was in charge of taking care of the Pokemons in the Artificial Inhabitators and Regina's workload was reduced a lot so she focused on other stuff and attended her faraway meetings more often.

The Pokemon inside the Artificial Inhabitator quickly grew friendly towards Xyno. Where it took quite a while for them to settle up and calm down around the other scientists, they became friendly towards Xyno very quickly. He enjoyed working along the Pokemons there.

In his free time, Xyno went to the Library at the Mansion and learned about the Geography of Astra and much other stuff.

He got to know that Astra is nearly 90 times larger than Earth. And the other planets in its solar system are quite big as well.

Astra's solar system consisted of 12 Major planets and 4 Minor planets, which were called the dwarf planets. The solar system also had 2 Suns around which the planets rotated. And the calendar was same as on Earth as well.

About the Geography of Astra, he came to know that there were 7 continents in total.

Yannan was one of the middle-sized continents. This continent comprised of 5 of the regions. Kanto, Johto, Sinnoh, Hoenn and Mennon. The continent was a collection of big islands and small islands, instead of being one big landmass.

Xyno currently was in the Sinnoh region,

He also got to learn about the Pokemon League and the Gym Leaders.

According to what he could grasp, The League Association works like the Military of the region, and a Gym is situated in every major city, with the Gym Leader is like the guardian of the city and has a duty to protect the city from magical disasters, pokemon stampedes as well as terrorists. The Gym Leaders make sure to keep peace inside the city and make the citizens feel safe. Gym leaders are part of the pokemon league of the region.

Whereas town mayors are elected by people for civil administration. The Police is responsible for civilian crimes.

While the Police Office is still functional, the Gym Leader controls the police of a town for a fair portion as well.

The gyms worked differently than the show. The minimum entry-level of a Gym was 20 and you could challenge the Gyms in any order. The condition to challenge was you should have at least 3 Pokemons with you. As the number of badges you own increase, so does the difficulty of the Gyms.

The First 4 badges don't need match with Gym leader. Just one of his underlings fights with you. But last 4 badges are acquired by winning the fight against Gym leaders although they don't use their strongest Pokemons.

Xyno also got to know that the normal people used something called the Stat Checker to check the Level and Talent of a Pokemon. So this proved Xyno's suspicion that he was the only possessor of the 'Eye Of Identity" ability.

One day Regina receives an emergency request to check an uninhabited island Kinderburn which was somewhere between Sinnoh and Hoenn, in the middle of the Ocean. There was a sudden emergence of spacial disturbances. Regina was excited about the phenomenon and accepted the task. She also asked Xyno to tag along with her to research the area. From what was written in the letter, it seemed like there was a huge storm above the uninhabited island, and that the clouds were dark purple in colour.

Xyno was packing his bag to go over to the Kinderburn Isle with Regina.

Since they would be staying there for 3-4 weeks he needed to make sure he was fully prepared with all the equipment for the research. They were to pack the bags in the night and fly over to the island the next day.

Having packed his belongings and the equipment, Xyno sits on a chair and relaxes for a while.

(What is awaiting at Kinderburn Isle? It said that there were mixed Pokemons found from both the regions living on the island. There is supposed to be no humans living on it. So it's a completely wild area. I will need to be careful around there. The wild Pokemons there seem to be strong. Also, the storm that appeared there, the mail said that dark purple clouds appeared on top of the island. I wonder what's going on with that cloud.)

Even though Yannan was widely inhabited by humans, there were places where the human did not settle as they were a pure wild area where fierce wild Pokemons lived.

Xyno checks his status screen quickly.

Nothing changed regarding what he could see on his status screen. Over the two years that went by, he only used the Eye Of Identity to check the Pokemons at the facility and on the people who worked there.

(I wonder when this 'Eye Of Identity' ability will fully awaken. And when it does, what will I be able to see through it?) Xyno thinks for a while and feels drowsy.

"Guess I should get going now. The time of departure is near and Regina seems impatient." Xyno lies on the bed and falls asleep instantly.

When he goes over to the research facility he sees Regina waiting for him, with her luggage ready.

"You ready to go over to Kinderburn island?" Regina asks Xyno.

"Yes, Professor Regina." Xyno replies.

"Aww drop the Professor act. You can call me Regina now, I'm like your Big Sis~" Regina says to Xyno.

"But you are still the Professor and I'm your Assistant. So it's appropriate for me to call you Professor." Xyno replies.

"I'm not your boss. I'm your guardian. You will either call me Regina, or Big Sis." Regina flirts with Xyno as she pulls him towards her and hugs him tightly.

Feeling Regina's big knockers Xyno gets flustered a bit. Regina acts quite close and extra touchy these days.

"Fine, I'll call you by your name, Regina. now let me go. It's kinda hard to breathe." Xyno replies back.

"Good boy. If you would be more obedient like this all the time I might reward you even more~" Regina flirts with Xyno but stops when she notices that the other female scientists boarding the plane were watching them.

"Xyno!" Maria comes rushing over to Regina and Xyno while shouting Xyno's name and suddenly hugs Xyno.

"Be careful out there okay? Stay alert around the wild Pokemon and make sure that you eat plenty. You are a growing kid so you need to take care of your diet." Maria shows her concern over Xyno as every older sister would. It was obvious she was the older sister type.

Xyno gets flustered again while his face is buried in Maria's chest.

"I know I know, I will make sure to take care of myself. You don't need to worry yourself sick Maria." Xyno answers while trying to detach himself from Maria.

During the years Regina and Maria grew closer to Xyno. While Regina was busier with her work all day, Maria spent more time with Xyno and looked after him more, and slowly took the position as his older sister.

When Xyno boards the plane Maria gives him a kiss on the cheek and wishes both Regina and Xyno wish on their expedition.

The aircraft that they were taking over to Kinderburn Island was privately owned by Maria. Xyno marvelled at this futuristic piece of tech. The aircraft didn't need a runway to take flight, instead, it could propel itself up in the sky and then fly at the speed up to Mach 6. It had big enough space to call it a small fortress.

When it was time to depart, Maria waved Regina and Xyno goodbye.

The Aircraft then propelled itself in the sky and then went in the direction of the Kinderburn isle.
