CHAPTER 51 – POKÉMON THE MOVIE: HEROES LATIOS AND LATIAS (PART TWO)

With Ash.

Immediately after feeling the pull, my speed quadrupled, and I almost flew out.

"Hold on!" – I said to both Pokémon.

"Pika piiiiiii!" - said Pikachu, clutching tightly to my shoulder.

"Phiiiii!" said Phione.

Poor Phione had nowhere to hold onto, but luckily she was tied by a rope so it prevented her from shooting out.

Little by little we passed participants, soon we saw a curve, but Latias did not seem to have the intention of braking.

"Oh my God, we're going to crash, this isn't good!" – I shouted.

Even if I know what's going to happen, bumping into something always makes an impression even if know about that situation.

Soon, we left the track and hit the wall, falling to the ground in the process, luckily the blow was not very strong.

"Are you okay guys?" – I asked as I rubbed my head.

"Pika pi" – Pikachu nodded.

"Phi" – and also Phione.

Meanwhile, two invisible Pokémon were seeing the situation curiously.

"Latios" – said the first Pokémon.

"Tias!" said the other.

And then they disappeared from the place.

The contest ended and in the end the winner was Verity, who won a kind of crystal medallion with the silhouette of Latios and Latias on it, quite beautiful and in real life it looks even better than in the movie.

The fact is that one of the contestants offered us a tourist tour of the city in a kind of Gondola while explaining the history of Alto Mare.

"As you can see on the medallion you can see the silhouette of two Pokémon" – said the boy who drove the gondola.

"Yes, they look like two Pokémon" – Verity nodded.

"Those are the guardians of Alto Mare, Latios and Latias, if you look closely, you can see two monuments in their honor" – said the boy.

We looked in the direction in which I point and indeed there were two huge columns, above all there were two statues of, obviously Latios and Latias, by the way, this scene sounds a lot to me, did Ash also ride in Gondola in the film? As I watch it a long time ago I do not remember it at all, only the most relevant details of it.

"I see that you were impressed, but also, according to legend, both Pokémon protect the City in case of danger, but we haven't needed their help in years" - the boy explained.

Specifically in the window of a large building.

A small drone had landed on one of the windows and with a camera observed the square of Alto Mare, only god knows what he was looking for, but he was looking intently at the square.

This drone was controlled by two members of Team Rocket, who were observing the scene from a place not far away.

"How come we haven't seen Latios and Latias if they are in charge of guarding the City? It doesn't make sense" - said one.

"If it were easy to see them, everyone would have noticed, moreover the book says that the Latios and the Latias can take different forms" - said the other.

One of them had blonde curly hair, while the other had bob-style silver hair.

"Like a human?" – asked the blonde.

"Exactly" - said the other, typing something into her computer.

"How will we find them if they are camouflaged as humans?" – asked the blonde as she retouched herself with her small mirror.

"Well, because the body temperature of the Pokémon is lower, so if it is, it will show in the scanner" – said the silver-haired woman.

After a couple of minutes, the inevitable happened.

"Bingo, I got it!" – said the silver-haired woman.

"Really?!" - said the blonde.

"Yes, how about we pay him a friendly visit?" – said the silver-haired woman with a smile.

And then, they turned on their speedboat and left.

The gondola trip had gone well, it was a nice and interesting ride, but like all good things, it comes to an end.

"By the way, since you are here do not forget to try the ice cream here, they are delicious, look, specifically you have one very close from here" – said the boy.

He then pointed to the location on the Rotom Dex and we set off.

"The truth is that I do want a good ice cream, I haven't eaten one for a long time" - Koharu said.

"I prefer vanilla, something simple" - Nancy said.

"Then I chocolate, after all not every day you can eat an ice cream specifically from this city" – I said.

After setting off, Pikachu began to feel very thirsty, it was hot and the poor guy hadn't drunk water for hours, it's not like our heroes were able to buy a bottle of water after all, all the events happened very often and gave them time.

Come back to the subject, on the way to the ice-cream parlour, Pikachu saw how a trainer was giving water to his Vaporeon through a fountain, excited, he went there to drink water from it, however, for water to come out, the button had to be pressed, so seeing that, Pikachu became depressed, at least until a girl appeared.

The girl wore a green T-shirt, a white skirt, brown hair and eyes and very beautiful.

"Pi?" -vsaid Pikachu in confusion.

But then he smiled and started drinking water and cooling off with it at least until Ash arrived.

I had noticed that Pikachu was missing, as I remember in the original movie he went to the fountain to drink some water, I guess he also did the same, but to be honest I thought he would not do the same.

"Girls, Pikachu has gone to drink water at the fountain, go ahead to the ice-cream parlour, i'll be back in no time" – I said.

"All right, we'll buy you the chocolate one" - Nancy nodded.

Then I went ahead to the place and found Pikachu cooling off in the fountain while Bianca, Ehem, Latias, helped him by pressing the fountain button.

"Pikachu, if I found out you were thirsty I would have bought you water before, come on, I'll buy you an ice cream and a bottle of water" – I said approaching Pikachu.

"Pika pi!" - said Pikachu cheerfully.

Then the girl (Latias) came, walked around me while looking at me curiously, smiled at me and left, just as I tell it.

"Wow, that was a bit weird, don't you think?" – I asked Pikachu.

"Pika pi" – Pikachu nodded.

Then I let him cool off a little more.

In third person again.

The girl continued to take a short walk around the city without worrying about anything and only observing the landscape, what she did not know is that there were two people following her, the members of Team Rocket.

"Since she took the form of a girl, then she is Latias without a doubt" - said the silver-haired woman.

Then he put on glasses exposing a walking Latias so to speak.

"Excuse me, I love your shirt, can you tell me where you bought it, Latias?" – asked the blonde woman.

Seeing that she had been discovered, Latias began to run.

"None of that, Espeon!" – said the blonde.

"Ariados!" - said the silver-haired woman.

Latias began to run trying to escape from both, but in the end, on a small bridge, Espeon attacked her with Psybeam while Ariados attacked her with a String Shot, stopping her steps.

He was still letting Pikachu enjoy the fresh water when suddenly...

"Pika pi!" - exclaimed Pikachu going for a run.

Again with Latias.

"Where are you going, don't you see that we just want to chat for a while?" – said the blonde with a smile.

But before he said anything else, Ash appeared.

"What do you think you're doing?" – I said angrily.

Although I already knew this was going to happen, I still get angry at what they are doing, trying to capture Latias in this way is very mean.

"Come on don't be angry, we were just trying to avoid a crime against fashion, didn't you see the shirt he's wearing or even his hair?" – said the blonde calmly.

"Wow, so now we catch people with our Pokémon just because you think their clothes and hair are horrible? What great people" – I scoffed as I tried to free Latias.

"Quiet boy, do you intend to give us advice? I would like it" – said the blonde.

"I'll give you some advice, get out of here and don't approach her again or I won't be nice to you" - I said angrily.

"Wow, but if she has bodyguards, I really didn't know" - the blonde sneered.

"And now what will we do? I know, show him" – said the silver-haired woman.

"Espeon, why don't you show him what would happen?" – said the blonde.

Without waiting a second, Espeon hit his Psybeam on me which hurt a lot.

"That hurts! But don't worry, I'll play too, Pikachu."

Pikachu angrily went towards Espeon, however, he dodged and got on top of the boat.

"You forced me, Pikachu use Thunderbolt"

Pikachu fired a Thunderbolt that directly hit the boat causing one of them to fall into the water.

"Meloetta, separates Ariados with Psychic"

Meloetta got out of her Pokéball and used Psychic to send the Ariados flying to a safe distance while we ran away.

I obviously returned Meloetta to her Pokéball before running off.

The girls seemed to complain about what I had done and in the distance I could see how they ordered their two Pokémon to chase us, thank goodness I made Meloetta delay them a bit.

I kept running hand in hand with the girl, I crossed street after street with the intention of putting her safe, that those Pokémon did not catch her and it is crucial that they do not because I could not say the consequences of it, so I just ran in the direction that seemed to me.

"Don't worry, we won't let them catch you!" – I said with a smile.

Latias nodded and just let himself go.

The bad thing is that I got to the point where I didn't know where to go, seeing me hesitating, Latias grabbed my hand and went to a direction.

When Latias stopped we had arrived at the place where the three girls were finishing eating their ice cream.

"Where were you? You missed the ice cream, the boy was right, it was delicious" - Nancy said with a delighted look.

I did not want to lie so I told them the truth hiding that it was Latias, at the moment it was necessary that only I knew.

"And where is the girl now?" - asked Koharu.

As I looked around I discovered that Latias left, damn it, ran away again.

"Anyway, since it's not here, why don't we take a walk around the museum? I've heard it's beautiful" - Nancy proposed.

"Weren't we here to collect data on Latios and Latias?" - asked Verity.

"Come on, we have no idea where they are and since we're here we don't have a hard time enjoying ourselves" - Nancy said.

At these words we couldn't help but nod, so we set off for the museum of Alto Mare.

It didn't take long for us to arrive and when we entered we were amazed, to begin with the design of the museum was beautiful and there were numerous antiques.

We simply kept seeing these antiques until what I was waiting for happened.

"Look guys, on the ground" - Nancy said suddenly.

"A Kabutops fossil, interesting that it's put in the ground, at the Pewter City Museum is in glass cabinet" - Verity said.

"You're right, but we believe that leaving them on the ground creates a greater visual impact" - someone said suddenly.

When we turned we saw a much older man with some overweight, almost bald, quite short and with white hair.

"But it's not just any Kabutops fossil, but one that almost wiped out the City a long time ago" - the man said.

"What do you mean?" – I asked.

"Follow me, I'll show you something as I explain" - the man said.

Since we didn't have a particular route, we followed him, plus this man is very important to the story as well, so we have to deal with him for a while.
