CHAPTER 116 – SEMIFINAL, ASH VS GARY (LAST PART)

In the previous chapter we see how the battle between Ash and Gary continues without rest, both trainers are giving their best effort in the battle but even so Gary's efforts were not enough because he had lost 5 of his Pokémon while Ash had lost 4, leaving his fourth Pokémon almost weakened, the battle now depends on the performance of Latias.

Tell me where you found a clue about them and where you found that Latias, I want one too, even if it's one of the two" – Gary said somewhat excitedly.

"I'm sorry but for certain reasons I can't reveal where I catched Latias, besides let's say we became friends, it wasn't a catch as such, was it?" – I said looking at Latias.

"Since you can't say then don't worry, I'll find one by my own means... let's start the final battle between the two of us, Zapdos use Thunderbolt!"

"Latias dodge it and use Dragon Pulse, we'll finish this battle now!"

"Use Protect and then use Hurricane!"

"Now Latias use Protect, and then Dragon Pulse!"

Zapdos prevented the attack from hitting him again and use Hurricane towards Latias which damages her a bit.

But I remember correctly, Latias had a base speed of about 110, not much in video games but in real life this did not apply, here only a few Pokémon surpassed Latias and Latios in speed, not even Meowscarada that in the game had a base speed of about 123 approximately, far surpassing Latias, but in real life it was not like that, only Pokémon like Deoxys speed form and some other Legendary Pokémon could surpass Latias in terms of speed after all real life is very different from the video games.

After our battle and congratulating Gary and vice versa it was the turn of Nancy's battle against Leaf resulting in Nancy's victory 6 - 5, so tomorrow's final would be me vs Nancy who was going to say it, whatever happens everything will end as it started, with Nancy.

"Okay, I just wanted to make this clear because the next thing I'll say is important" - Gary nodded.

"You see, as obviously you know many people have tried to find and catch Mew without any success among which I include myself, that's why they decided to form a group known as 'Project Mew' which is dedicated to search and find Mew and even catch him, I joined them about 5 months ago and since then I have participated in numerous expeditions to other regions including Kanto with the hope to find him, in fact it was on one of those expeditions where I got the egg of Zapdos" – Gary explained.

This is weird, but If i'm not remember wrong, the "Project Mew" was formed in the last season, when Goh joined it hoping to find and catvh Mew, at the end of the season he only managed to touch him which seemed to make him very happy, to me on the contrary and without offending anyone, the end is rubbish but the strange thing of all this is that this organization should have been formed in a far future and not now.

"So you've been looking for Mew for months?" - asked Verity.

"That's right but the thing is that i've been with them for months but the group was formed a few years ago and since then they've been looking for him without success" - Gary agreed.

It is normal that they did not find any clues, Mew is invisible and can transform into any Pokémon, the only Mew, apart from mine, that I know is the Mew of the first Movie, which was at the bottom of the sea near Vermillion City, although I do not know if he is still there.

"You are smart if so, but I will still tell you, the whole team will come to you after the Indigo League is over with the intention of studying Mew, you generally don't need to worry, almost the entire group are good people and they will only try to study it without bothering you too much but some will be very annoying and try to get your Mew, you must be careful, although it is likely that the bosses keep those individuals at bay... you need to be careful" - Gary said.

In other words, some members will try to buy it or otherwise forcibly snatch it from me, none of those things will happen.

Then he got up and after saying goodbye again he left the room.

"Hey, what should we do about this?" – I asked once he left.

"Although I don't like to agree with him... I think we should do what he said and just hang in there until we go on a journey again" - Nancy said.

"Nancy is right, we will only be a couple of months, I doubt they will have time, when they arrive we will be on our next journey" – Verity agreed.

The others also nodded and thinking about that and it makes sense, once we go to the next region they will not be able to track us, it will be totally impossible or extremely difficult to do it, also no matter the region we choose, it is impossible to look for a person in a whole region, you could only find him by chance.

I must also say that I have already decided what our next destination will be but I will not say it until after the Indigo League ends.
