Pokemon - The Timeless Journey

No Truck-kun! Instead Aeroplane-kun helps our main character transmigrate in the beautiful world of Pokemon! But… the world of Pokemon is freaking dangerous! Follow the story of Orion and join him on the journey as he tours the world of pokemon while building the best team and battling against tough opponents while surviving numerous disasters. What to expect : 1. Smart and Consistent MC. 2. No Plot holes (hopefully). 3. An original story (I won't be following any canon storylines). 4. Lots of new characters. 5. Smart/Cunning side characters. 6. Chaotic and intense battles (I'll do my best. I'll need a lot of suggestions and constructive criticism to improve the battles). 7. No System. WARNING : 1. The world is dark. There will be a lot of deaths, killing and perhaps even gore (though I'll keep gore to a minimum and avoid using it when not necessary). 2. No Harem, No Lemons, No Pokephilia! 3. The MC isn't kind hearted and passionate like Shounen MCs. On the contrary, he will grow to be very ruthless to survive in this world. 4. The story will start slow. It will pick up pace after Orion begins his journey (I'll keep you updated about this). 5. I haven't seen the latest seasons. So you may not see many pokemons from Generation 8 and 9. 6. The world is an AU. Though many characters are the same, their teams and personalities could be slightly altered. 7. The MC won't become the best pokemon trainer in a short time. Though the story will revolve around him, the world will not. So don't expect him to receive much special treatment or gifts from every gym leader/champion/legendary pokemon. His struggles will be real. 8. There will be a lot of Monologues at the start of the story (especially in chp 3 and 4. Feel free to skip those if you aren't a fan of monologues). But later on it will be much less. If the above is what you are looking for in a fanfic, welcome on the journey :-) Disclaimer : I don't own Pokemon or its characters (except the original characters I create). The image used in the cover doesn't belong to me.

Chapter 70 : Devil's Will!

Orion thought, 'I'm still thinking of the Pokemon Tide. Unless I can stop blaming myself for it, I won't be able to get rid of this resentment as it feels like this resentment is feeding off my remorse. To make matters worse, I can't even speak about it with anyone as that might attract another calamity. So, Cedric wouldn't understand how serious my issue is…'

Orion took a deep breath and began meditating once again. This time, he wasn't thinking about any happy thoughts. Instead, his mind was completely focused on the tide!

Orion thought, 'Even though the first conclusion I reached was that this Pokemon Tide was created due to my actions, it is very unlikely. What I analyzed later wasn't just to avoid taking responsibility. Just 3 small wars that ended in less than a day shouldn't be sufficient to form such a large Tide.

Even if it resulted in some form of chain reaction, it still shouldn't be possible. Otherwise, Pokemon Tides would happen way too frequently. After all, there are millions of Pokemon Trainers. It is completely illogical to think that such things don't occur frequently. There should have been some other factor, either natural or man-made.

Besides, even if it happened solely due to my actions, it's still not a bad thing. After all, casualties on our side were very low. Only over a thousand Pokemon Trainers died and there were no civilian casualties. By comparison, tens of thousands of Pokemon Trainers died in the previous Tide that Saffron City faced!

In addition, the next time a Pokemon Tide forms, the number of Pokemon coming from the direction of the Slumberwood forest will be very low. As a result, the power of the next Tide will be slightly lesser, which will easily save the lives of a few thousand Pokemon Trainers!

Looking at it from this angle, my actions have been a massive blessing for Saffron City.'

Away from the battlefield, Orion finally could analyze the situation calmly without his emotions affecting him. On thinking deeply, he realized that blaming himself wasn't right. In the long run, his actions would prove beneficial to the Saffron City. And that was assuming that his actions were the sole reason for the formation of the tide.

Unfortunately, even after Orion stopped blaming himself on a subconscious level, the resentment neither reduced nor calmed down.

After all, it was resentment created by the dead Pokemon. It didn't care whether Orion blamed himself or not. It just wanted to consume and destroy everything it could! Only his happy and peaceful thoughts could affect it. Unfortunately, that would take a very long time.

Orion frowned as he felt his headache becoming even more tense. The pain made him snap as he cursed, 'Shit! You know what? Fuck it! No more playing the nice guy! Why the fuck should I care about the resentment of the dead when I don't care about the lives of the living?'

Orion's expression became very serious. He entered his highest meditative state. His consciousness was completely focused on the red resentment energy inside him! It was still attacking his Psychic energy ferociously.

Orion looked at it with indifference and muttered, "I will climb to the top of this world! I'll become the strongest Pokemon Trainer who ever lived! My Pokemon will become the strongest Pokemon of their respective species! I will surpass every single being who has ever stepped on this planet!"

As he spoke, his Psychic energy, despite being only one-third the size of the red resentment energy, began charging up. It stopped defending and instead went on the offensive with great momentum!

Orion continued speaking in his mind, "It doesn't matter who stands in my way, I will cut down every single one of them! My path will be littered with their corpses as they witness my rise to the top! No one, young or old, male or female, intelligent or stupid, weak or strong, living or dead, will ever stop me! YOUR RESENTMENT CAN'T STOP ME!"

Having experienced the wild as much as he did, Orion knew that killing would be inevitable. He had already killed several hundred Pokemon and caused a few thousand deaths. He knew that he might have to kill Pokemon Trainers as well in the lawless wild once he began his journey.

It was just that the scale of death in the Pokemon Tide shocked him and affected his emotions and mindset. However, he had made up his mind. From that moment onwards, Orion decided to never concern himself with the scale of the deaths as long as it wasn't anyone close to him or his Pokemon. He decided to become indifferent to it, caring solely about himself and his Pokemon.

As Orion shouted, a huge amount of Psychic energy arose from Orion's will and attacked the resentment! The resentment, that was eroding his Psychic energy moments ago, was now being overwhelmed by Orion's Psychic energy!

As the Psychic energy rushed into the red energy, Orion saw as it decimated the resentment. Despite the resentment being several times larger than his Psychic energy, it was being crushed without being able to put up any resistance due to Orion's indomitable will!

If Cedric had witnessed this scene, he would have been shocked. It was very rare for the resentment absorbed by a Psychic to be so much greater than his Psychic energy. Most Psychics would struggle to get rid of resentment that was one-tenth of their Psychic energy due to its invasive nature! And yet, Orion was decimating resentment that was three times the size of his Psychic energy!

As Orion's Psychic energy was decimating the resentment, a peculiar thing happened, something that surprised Orion! The resentment that was crushed was being absorbed by his Psychic energy! Every bit of resentment it absorbed caused Orion's Psychic energy to grow!

Orion was stunned once again as he exclaimed, 'What the fuck? Can the resentment be absorbed? Is this normal or am I finally getting a perk for being a transmigrator? And does this have any hidden danger? If not, then couldn't I keep powering up this way?'

Even though Orion wasn't sure, there wasn't anything he could do. His Psychic energy had absorbed the resentment autonomously. As his Psychic energy kept getting stronger, the remaining resentment was no match, neither against his indomitable will nor against the momentum of his Psychic energy.

Within a few minutes, the entire resentment was absorbed into his Psychic energy! Orion's Psychic energy had become four times its initial size!

Before the tide began Orion could control 75 blocks of 1 kilogram with his Psychic Energy without any issue. To complete the fourth step of Psychic Training, Orion needed to control 100 such blocks. It was the basic requirement if anyone wanted to become an instructor at Saffron Gym.

As for the trainees, it was extremely rare for anyone to reach this level before the start of their journey. Most would reach it after they turned 15. The talented Psychics could reach it after they turned 12. Emma was on that path.

Only a genius like Sabrina could do it before she started her journey. And now, Orion reached that as well and comfortably surpassed it! That said, he still wasn't sure if there were any hidden risks to absorbing the resentment in this way.

Orion muttered to himself, 'Oh well, one problem at a time. It's a good thing that the resentment has been erased. I can start my journey on time. I'll ask Cedric about this tomorrow.'
