No Truck-kun! Instead Aeroplane-kun helps our main character transmigrate in the beautiful world of Pokemon! But… the world of Pokemon is freaking dangerous! Follow the story of Orion and join him on the journey as he tours the world of pokemon while building the best team and battling against tough opponents while surviving numerous disasters. What to expect : 1. Smart and Consistent MC. 2. No Plot holes (hopefully). 3. An original story (I won't be following any canon storylines). 4. Lots of new characters. 5. Smart/Cunning side characters. 6. Chaotic and intense battles (I'll do my best. I'll need a lot of suggestions and constructive criticism to improve the battles). 7. No System. WARNING : 1. The world is dark. There will be a lot of deaths, killing and perhaps even gore (though I'll keep gore to a minimum and avoid using it when not necessary). 2. No Harem, No Lemons, No Pokephilia! 3. The MC isn't kind hearted and passionate like Shounen MCs. On the contrary, he will grow to be very ruthless to survive in this world. 4. The story will start slow. It will pick up pace after Orion begins his journey (I'll keep you updated about this). 5. I haven't seen the latest seasons. So you may not see many pokemons from Generation 8 and 9. 6. The world is an AU. Though many characters are the same, their teams and personalities could be slightly altered. 7. The MC won't become the best pokemon trainer in a short time. Though the story will revolve around him, the world will not. So don't expect him to receive much special treatment or gifts from every gym leader/champion/legendary pokemon. His struggles will be real. 8. There will be a lot of Monologues at the start of the story (especially in chp 3 and 4. Feel free to skip those if you aren't a fan of monologues). But later on it will be much less. If the above is what you are looking for in a fanfic, welcome on the journey :-) Disclaimer : I don't own Pokemon or its characters (except the original characters I create). The image used in the cover doesn't belong to me.
'Something feels off about this entire Pokemon Tide!'
Orion's eyes gazed at the army as he had that thought. He thought, 'I have read about several Pokemon Tides in the library. The battle shouldn't be this easy…'
Orion closed his eyes and recalled the entire battle, analyzing every piece of information he could recall. After a few minutes, he analyzed, 'There is no question that Saffron City's defence is very strong. With four Psychics as the commanders, a guerilla unit made of the Dojo Trainers, a well-disciplined army, plenty of reinforcements and the tactic of using Psychic Pokemons to lower the morale and cause fights within the Tide, it's no wonder that we won the battle so easily.
However, the Pokemons aren't foolish! The Tide isn't a way for them to commit suicide! With such a weak Tide, they shouldn't have attacked Saffron City. So, why did they do it?'
Orion fell into deep thought once again. He analyzed, 'From what I found in the libraries, a tide only forms when the number of Pokémons have exceeded the amount that the resources there can support under normal circumstances. The Pokemons use the Tide to get rid of their excess numbers while trying to get more resources through their sacrifice. They generally don't attack somewhere where they have no chance of victory unless their population spiralled out of control.
But the number of Pokémons in this Tide was clearly not high enough. Considering that the Tide happened several years before its normal time, it should mean that overpopulation wasn't the reason for the tide. So, what could it be?'
Immediately, two answers appeared in Orion's mind, 'Either the resources in the wild suddenly decreased, making it seem like the Wild Pokemons didn't have enough resources forcing the colonies to fight against each other. And, that only happened in the Northeast and not in the other forests.
Or, there was some other factor that caused this tide. And, that factor most probably is…'
Orion's expression became grim as he realized, 'Could it be??? Could it be that the tides aren't a direct consequence of the number of Pokémons increasing? Instead, it's an indirect consequence.
Something along the lines of the number of pokémon increasing beyond the limit causes the hive to fight among each other for resources. And when the number of such wars reaches a particular number, or perhaps a particular frequency, that causes the pokémons to form a tide rather than fight each other...
If this is the truth, could it be that I am the reason for this Tide to form? After all, I directly caused three wars! In addition, I also plundered several other colonies. Pokemons from those colonies could have been forced to attack other nearby colonies.
And that's just the start. The 6 Pokemon colonies I made to fight with each other could have tried picking up a fight with nearby colonies because I plundered them. It is also possible that other nearby colonies attacked them because they were weakened by the war. And, those colonies could have in turn been attacked by their neighbours… Don't tell me that I started some sort of chain reaction!'
Orion's thoughts were in chaos. While he didn't care about the humans dying on the battlefield earlier, it was more due to the fact that he felt that he wasn't involved in any way in the battle. However, realizing that he could be the reason why over a thousand Pokemon Trainers and millions of Pokemons died, Orion immediately felt the guilt.
Even though the world Orion was previously in had frequent wars, there hadn't been a war that caused over 5 million deaths in decades. At the very least, none happened when he lived. And now, Orion realized that he could be the cause of such a massive number of deaths! He suddenly felt the gravity of his careless actions earlier. It wasn't something he could easily accept.
Kadabra noticed the change in his emotions and that Orion wasn't paying any attention to the battle that was still happening. He called out softly, "Kadabra"
Kadabra's worried call snapped Orion out of his thoughts. He smiled and softly said, "Don't worry, I'm fine."
Kadabra wasn't convinced but focused back on the battlefield. He had to be ready to teleport the three of them if need be. Orion looked at the battlefield as well, but his mind was elsewhere. Thoughts clashed at the speed of light in his brain as he analyzed, 'No, it shouldn't be the case.
Just 3 mini wars shouldn't result in a tide consisting of over 5 million Pokemons. Especially, the colonies from the Slumberwood forest shouldn't have joined the Tide. If it was that easy to start a Tide, then Pokemon Tides would have happened non-stop.
However, if my initial assumption is correct and if tides happen as a result of the wars between colonies reaching a certain frequency, it could mean that someone else did what I did on a much larger scale.
If that is the case, then that would mean that I just accidentally made a small contribution to it. Or perhaps the wars happened due to some other reason.'
Orion immediately went into denial, not wanting to accept the responsibility of such a massive event on his shoulders even though he was the only one aware of it. He put aside his emotions and immediately began calculating the situation.
Orion wondered, 'If this is the real reason for the formation of the tide, I wonder whether the experts of this world know it… This could be a good method to form less dangerous Tides. It could also be a good method to collect more resources as the Pokemon colonies will be empty when they are participating in the Tide. Hmm??? WAIT!'
Orion's eyes widened. He realized, 'Could it be that someone used this tactic to start a Tide so that they can plunder all the resources these Pokemons left back in the respective colonies??? Shit! I need to be extremely careful!'
Orion immediately became scared as he understood, 'If the leaders in the Pokemon League are aware of this method and they aren't the ones who started this Tide, then my actions will be treated as a crime! If someone started the Tide to plunder resources, then the league will quickly begin to investigate the matter.
If I sell my remaining loot through official methods, then they might find out about my transaction and suspect me. I shouldn't sell my remaining items in Saffron City. If I do, my journey might be over even before it begins!'
Orion immediately made up his mind. Even though he had a good head start before his journey began, he didn't have much backing. If the League were to take action against him, he wouldn't be able to resist and be at their mercy. Even though there was a chance that they would understand him and not punish him, Orion had no intention of taking that chance. He decided to bury every detail in his heart.
He looked towards the battlefield once again. The battles were almost over. Almost all Pokemons from the Tide were dead. He sighed and muttered to himself, 'A shame for all those who died in this war. This world truly is dangerous… Hmm?'
Surprise appeared on Orion's face. His eyes had been glowing with Psychic energy as he observed the battlefield. To his shock, he noticed something extremely strange!
The dead bodies of the Pokemons were releasing strange red particles. Those small red particles rose into the air and merged together, forming a small red cloud above the battlefield! To Orion's surprise, no Pokemon Trainer reacted to it. He wondered, 'What the hell is that? Why isn't anyone reacting to it?'
"Kadabra Kadabra Kadabra!" (Be on guard! I can sense a very evil aura from it!)
"Rhydon?" (It? I don't see anything.)
Just like Orion, Kadabra could see it as well. However, Rhydon couldn't see it. Orion got a very bad feeling. He said, "Kadabra, be ready to teleport us back to the Gym."
However, even before Kadabra could nod, the red wave rushed towards Orion like a dragon! In the blink of an eye, it entered his body!
As soon as it entered his body, Orion dropped to his knees and vomited blood!
