No Truck-kun! Instead Aeroplane-kun helps our main character transmigrate in the beautiful world of Pokemon! But… the world of Pokemon is freaking dangerous! Follow the story of Orion and join him on the journey as he tours the world of pokemon while building the best team and battling against tough opponents while surviving numerous disasters. What to expect : 1. Smart and Consistent MC. 2. No Plot holes (hopefully). 3. An original story (I won't be following any canon storylines). 4. Lots of new characters. 5. Smart/Cunning side characters. 6. Chaotic and intense battles (I'll do my best. I'll need a lot of suggestions and constructive criticism to improve the battles). 7. No System. WARNING : 1. The world is dark. There will be a lot of deaths, killing and perhaps even gore (though I'll keep gore to a minimum and avoid using it when not necessary). 2. No Harem, No Lemons, No Pokephilia! 3. The MC isn't kind hearted and passionate like Shounen MCs. On the contrary, he will grow to be very ruthless to survive in this world. 4. The story will start slow. It will pick up pace after Orion begins his journey (I'll keep you updated about this). 5. I haven't seen the latest seasons. So you may not see many pokemons from Generation 8 and 9. 6. The world is an AU. Though many characters are the same, their teams and personalities could be slightly altered. 7. The MC won't become the best pokemon trainer in a short time. Though the story will revolve around him, the world will not. So don't expect him to receive much special treatment or gifts from every gym leader/champion/legendary pokemon. His struggles will be real. 8. There will be a lot of Monologues at the start of the story (especially in chp 3 and 4. Feel free to skip those if you aren't a fan of monologues). But later on it will be much less. If the above is what you are looking for in a fanfic, welcome on the journey :-) Disclaimer : I don't own Pokemon or its characters (except the original characters I create). The image used in the cover doesn't belong to me.
Seeing the incoming attacks, there was no need for any further instructions. Hydro Pumps, Bubble Beams, Water Pulses and other Water type attacks were launched towards the incoming flames. At the same time, Flamethrowers, Fire Blasts, Overheat and other similar attacks were launched to intercept the Hyper Beams. While they did so, the Ground, Rock and Steel type Pokemons on the frontlines got ready to use Protect if need be.
The attacks clashed. The Flamethrower evaporated a lot of the Water, covering the frontlines in steam, but they were stopped. As for the Hyper Beams, they managed to break through the Fire type attacks. A few were intercepted by other attacks. Only 3 Hyper Beams reached the army but were blocked with ease.
Even though the attacks were defended, no one relaxed as they heard Eliza's voice once again, 'Use Rock Blast, Stone Edge, Power Gem, Ancient Power, Earth Power or other similar mid-range moves. This shall be our last attack before the Tide reaches us and we enter into a melee.'
Everyone immediately followed her orders and instructed their Pokemons to do the same while Eliza continued communicating after a small pause.
'We have been through several wars together. Our city has stood strong for one hundred and fifty years. So, I won't give any unnecessary speech.
Just remember that it's our families who are living just behind the barrier. The Pokemons living in the forests surrounding the city think that we are easy targets. Show them how wrong they are! Kill every single one of them! Show them no mercy!'
Eliza's short speech raised the morale of her troops considerably! The Taurus and Rapidash herds endured the attacks and reached the army with great momentum. However, they were halted at the very front by the Trainers positioned at the very front.
That said, it was just the start. From behind them, several more packs of Pokemons arrived. As the Rapidash and Taurus herds kept the Trainers busy, herds of Vileplume, Victreebel, Parasect, Beedrill, Butterfree, Venomoth, Hitmonchan, Hitmonlee, Hitmontop, Machamp, Primeape, Golduck, Poliwrath and a few other Pokemons joined the battle.
Every herd had one to three Elite Pokemons, but they stayed at the rear. Since there was limited space, the herds in the rear began spreading out in both directions. The Pokemon Trainers standing on the other fronts saw the Pokemons rushing towards them and immediately prepared for the battle.
Within a few minutes, the Tide had laid siege to the entire city! While the Army stayed strong and stopped any Pokemons from breaking through and entering the city, the normal Pokemon Trainers who still hadn't been dispatched, got worried.
Standing among the reserves, a boy in his late teens worriedly asked, "Grandpa, do you think the city will survive this Tide? I know it is only an Orange alert, but the number of Pokemons in the Tide and their strength are several times higher than what our town faced. And we barely managed to survive it even though we had a 50 thousand strong army!"
Hearing the boy's words, the Trainers around him got worried as well. After all, they were just passing by and got stuck in this messy situation. They also looked curiously at the white-haired old man next to the boy who didn't seem to have any worry in the world. Of course, the main reason why they paid attention was that the Old Man was one of the few Elite Trainers!
To everyone's surprise, the old man chuckled. He looked at his grandson and said, "Don't compare our small town with Saffron City. Even though Saffron City's army isn't as large as some of the other major cities, it is the city with the sturdiest defence! In its hundred and fifty years of history, there has never been an instance when evacuation facilities have come under attack!"
The boy and the people around him were surprised by the old man's claim. The teenage boy asked, "What do you mean?"
The old man answered, "The Saffron City is unique from other cities. From its inception, it has had two Gyms. One Psychic Type and another Fighting type. The Gym with the stronger Gym Leader serves as one of the official eight major Gyms. For instance, before Sabrina defeated Koichi, the official Gym in Saffron City was actually the Dojo led by Koichi.
However, irrespective of who the Gym Leader is, the four commanders of the city are always the four strongest Pokemon Trainers from the Psychic Gym! Even if there are stronger trainers in the city or the army, that never changes."
The teenage boy became confused and asked, "Why is that? Shouldn't the strongest be the commanders?"
The old man chuckled once again and said, "That's why I said that you shouldn't look at Saffron City like an ordinary city. The stronger trainers in the Psychic Gym are all powerful Psychics themselves. They can perfectly coordinate the entire army with their telepathy.
Their Pokemons can teleport Pokemon Trainers wherever they are needed. It means that the reinforcements are always on time. And the wild Pokemons frequently get caught off guard. They can also teleport the Trainers who are about to be killed back to safety. Hence, the death rate during tides is the lowest in Saffron City. If you look at it from another way, then every Trainer in the Saffron City has multiple lives thanks to the large number of Psychic specialists in the city!"
He took a pause before continuing, "What's even more scary is that these advantages are just the basics. Once the Tide and the army enter into a deadlock, that's when you see how scary the Saffron City is.
The Psychic Pokemon Trainers can sow discord within the Pokemon Tide itself with the help of their Pokemons. The Army just have to stay on the defense and the Tide will explode internally within a few days.
And all that is without considering the second Gym that exists in the city. Even though they are currently weaker than the Psychic Gym, the Dojo is still significantly stronger than the minor Gyms. Considering that there are less than 6 million Pokemons in this Tide, the Saffron Army can deal with them even if they don't have our reinforcements.
So there is no need to worry. Observe the battle carefully and you'll learn a lot. Just ensure that you survive when we are called to reinforce them."
His grandson nodded and looked curiously at the battle. As the old man had said, the battle soon entered into a proper deadlock, with the Saffron Army focusing on just defence and counterattacks.
What the Pokemons in the Tide didn't notice was that several Pokemons that were a part of the Tide would occasionally lose control and go berserk, attacking their own allies instead of the Trainers. As a result, despite the Saffron Army not being on the offensive, the casualties among the Pokemon Tide kept piling up at a steady rate!
Since the fighting had begun, Saffron City now knew which Pokemons were fighting on which fronts. Hence, the reserve Trainers were rearranged and redeployed but weren't made to join the battle just yet.
Around noon, Koichi walked next to Eliza and asked with a grin on his face, "Is it time for us to go on a rampage?"
Eliza nodded and said, "Yes. But be careful. The Pseudo Champions haven't shown up yet, nor have their herds. Just cause enough damage to make them think about making a move. Don't go overboard. And stay away from my front, otherwise, you might get flanked."
He chuckled and said, "Alright. Have your subordinates assist us."
Eliza sent half the Psychic Trainers from the Gym under her command to assist Koichi, who regrouped with the thousand martial artists who trained in the Dojo. The Psychic Trainers positioned themselves right in the centre of the unit.
Seconds later, the entire group of over 1000 Trainers with several Elite Trainers among them teleported! They appeared right behind the Pokemons in the Tide who were engaged in an intense battle. Before the Pokemons could understand what was happening, they were hit hard from the rear!
At the same time, Cedric, on whose front the Trainers from the Dojo had appeared, immediately commanded his troops to go on the offensive! The Pokemons from the Tide, despite having the numerical advantage, were pincered and slaughtered at a remarkable rate!
