Hey guys. Demigod here. My first time writing a fanfic. So I thought I'd tell a bit about myself.

I love reading. Have read like 20-30 manga, 50+ cultivation novels and hundreds of fanfics. It sort of motivated me to write my own fanfic.

My main motivation behind writing this fanfic was to just write down my own adventure in the Pokemon world, that I always dreamt about. I had several ideas regarding this. But after reading a lot of Pokemon fanfics, I noticed that most fanfics either have some crazy cheats, like a system that helps the MC become the strongest without much struggle. Or the MC is by default the Greatest Pokemon Trainer in terms of talent. Or he receives help from all the top trainers in the Pokemon world. In some extreme scenarios, the MC is the only smart person while others have single digit IQ.

After reading them, I changed my ideas. I instead want to create a journey where the Main Character doesn't have any cheats to help him, doesn't have a super powerful mentor or legendary Pokemons to guide him or has the luck of the world. Where his competitors will get the same amount of opportunities as him if they are willing to put the same amount of effort and are very smart. So this fanfic is my attempt to create such a story.

To be honest, I got quite excited to write this fanfic in 2021. Unfortunately, I didn't even know how to start. So I just began writing the storyline, not sure whether I would actually write the story or not. I kept adding to it and improving for more than a year. The storyline itself is 54k words in length. I began writing the chapters in June 2023 but wasn't confident in posting them online.

But recently one of the fanfic I have been reading (Naruto : The Wind Calamity) inspired me to finally put this out. Anyways, since the storyline is so long, the fanfic will also be quite long (should definitely cross 500k+ words, can't say how much beyond it). And since I have prepared for such a long time, the plot is well thought out and I have some cool arcs planned out.

Anyways, since I have read so many fanfics, it has sort of overshadowed my memories of Pokemon anime and manga. So my fanfic will have a lot of troupes from pokemon fanfics (you can read the world building in chapter 3). At the same time, I will also be using some aspects that I liked in my favorite novels.

The two novels that do have some impact on my writing are Reverend Insanity and Versatile Mage. Reverend Insanity is my favorite novel so far. Though the MC in it is very evil, I am more inspired by his other aspects. Especially his ability to plan and his dedication to his goal. So that is something you will see with my MC as well.

Another aspect in that story is that despite MC being quite smart, the side characters are very smart and competent as well. So young master bs, thinking with dick bs and other dumb troupes from cultivation novels will NOT make into my fanfic. The side characters will be very competent. I won't reduce them to single digit IQ just to make my MC look smarter. And girls simply won't die to jump onto MC for no reason whatsoever.

As for Versatile Mage, that's honestly not among the top novels I have read. It doesn't even make it to the top 10 in my favorite novels list (still good though). But for some reason, I have fallen in love with its simple but engrossing World Building. So my Pokemon world will be a bit inspired from that. Especially the wild Pokemons.

Coming to the fanfic, I will be following some game mechanics kinda strictly. Especially the type advantages/weaknesses and immunities. Though in some very extreme cases or very high imbalance of power, it might be broken through (like say Zapdos using Thunder on a new born Ground type).

And there will be some changes in accordance to common sense (yeah bone rush is ground type but it should still hit flying types. And even if Magnemite doesn't have levitate ability, he should be immune to ground moves (so stuff like these).

Apart from it. The rules will be followed strictly. I'll include explanations/reasons if they aren't followed in some cases.

Anyways, that's all I wanted to say about myself. I have added some more information regarding the fanfic below.

Release rate :

I know that many fanfics on Webnovel have a release rate of 5-7 per week. I wanted to do that as well. Unfortunately, I realized the difficulty after I began writing. I don't think I would manage to maintain such a high speed of writing for a long time. Hats off to the writers who can achieve that.

The main reasons for this are that I have to maintain my life outside the fanfic world (would love to write all day some day, though I am not sure if that day will come any time soon).

And as I kept writing the storyline, I realized that the amount of data I would have to manage will become tremendous as the fanfic proceeds further. So updating and maintaining the data and rechecking it to prevent any inconsistencies in the story will also require a lot of time.

So I will be writing 3 chapters per week (Mon, Wed, Fri releases) which should be manageable. Each chapter will be 1-1.5k words in length.
