4: Arceus is the Limit

Tobio arrived at the End of Route 1, with Viridian City in sight. As cities go it wasn't bad. ''Here we are Bulbasaur, Mags, the Journey begins now.,'' Says Tobio who, just as he goes to take a step hears a loud cracks of Thunder in the otherwise clear and cloudless Sky. Looking up, he see's Zapdos, Articuno, and Moltress flying overhead.

As he watches them Zapdos and Articuno glance at Him before Shedding a Feather that falls at his Feet.

Picking up The Feathers, he is struck with a serene calm from holding Articuno's Feather wheras his mind is in a state of advanced Hyper-Awareness.

If the Feathers of two of Kanto's Legendary Birds elicited these in a Human then what would the Feathers of Moltress induce? Tobio could only assume it ever induced Adrenaline or some kind of Battle Strength. If Ho-Oh was Good Luck, and Articuno Calm, and Zapdos Hyper-Awareness it only raised more questions.

At this rate he was steadily to becoming someone on the Path to a Pokémon Professor or Pokémon Researcher. But in all seriousness first he had to head to the ....oh shit.

It slipped his mind.

Team Rocket would be attacking the Center at some point wouldn't they? Jesse wasn't bad looking, but she was a shrew to some degree and a shrew is a shrew.

Plus, Tobio already knew in his heart the girl he'd pursue, May. Oh he planned to fool around a little but May was his number one. If she let him have more then he would try for Cynthia, Serena, Lillie and Possibly one of Misty's Sisters. NBut first things first is heading to and registering at Viridian City Pokémon Center.

Arriving at The VCPC, Tobio approached Nurse Joy.

''Nurse Joy? I have a Trainer I would like to report for abusive behavior towards his Pokémon. Well, Former Pokémon. He stomped their Pokéballs when I defeated him. Here's the information, my recording of the situation. I'd also like to register this Pokémon Center as my Resident one.'' Tonio says without Missing a beat.

Nurse Joy true to form, doesn't miss a beat neither as she takes the information before sighing in a mixture of relief, exasperation, and gratitude as she reviews the information and recording.

''The man you beat is part of a gang, Trainer's who Lieutenant Surge threw out of his Kanto Special Forces Unit, The Thunderbolts, for criminal activities. They're spread out across Kanto, and have associates in the other Region's. This particular member was Lieutenant Surge's Younger Brother. Surge has been trying to bring him around for a awhile, but their eldrr brother is very charismatic. He was the leader, Surge...''

''I think I understand. In any case, can you register this Center as my Resident Pokémon Center. I need to take a trip to the Viridian Forest before heading to Pewter City.'' Says Tobio.

''Oh, yes, of course. Let me plug your Pokedex in the residential system and I'll add you to the list. I should inform you that This can't be changed. You can only add another Kanto Pokémon City after Winning the Indigo League, become part of the Elite Four and Take the position of Champion. This rule applies to all Region's, however failing those three requirmfnrs you are exempt from being unable to make another Pokémon Center in another Region your Resident Pokémon Center.'' Says Nurse Joy.

''So put very simply, I am bound by those rules, however it is in essence a clean slate situation If I wanted to Take up residence in another Region but without sacrificing my current Residency? In that Case, I'd like to List The Pokémon Centers in Olivine City in Johto, Petalburg City in Hoenn, Snowpoint City in Sinnoh, Mistralton City in Unova, Shalour City in Kalos, and Hau'oli City on Melemele Island in Alola as my Resident Centers for those Region's.'' Says Tobio.

Each Selection represents an important reason.

Olivine City is the home of Jasmine, Petalburg is the home of May, Snowpoint the Home of the Four Titans and Candice, Mistralton is Skyla's home, Shalour is the home of Mega Lucario and Korrina. As for The Hau'oli Pokémon Center, well aside from being in the city where Lillie lives, it's where his mom is living in a permanent Coma.

''Are you certain?''

''Yeah, especially Hau'oli.'' Says Tobio.

''Understood, do you need me to heal your Pokémon?'' Asks Joy.

''Better safe than sorry.'' Says Tobio nodding.

''Just one moment please.'' Nurse Joy replies taking his Pokéballs.

Sitting down for a moment Tobio takes a moment to consider his plans. He wanted to optimize his Team for the League and his Gym Battles. Water, Grass, Steel, Fighting, Ground and Electric-Types would be important for his first two Gym Battles Against Brock and the Cerulean Sisters.

Luckily Viridian Forest had options. In recent years large numbers of Pokémon had been migrating between Region's, that was how he got Magby, a Magmortar led Tribe had migrated to Melemele Island.

There had been sightings of Scyther, Scizor, Electabuzz, Skarmory, Gligar, Mareep, Pidove, Rookiedee, Joltik, Gible, Goomy, Timburr, Houndour, Sandile, Rockruff, Murkrow, Nickit, Oricorio, Palpitoad, Pancham, Larvitar, Riolu, Salandit, Shieldon, Steenee, Fletchling, Toxel, Pikipek, and Zorua coming to Kanto to name the confirmed migrations.

But there were also rumors of Absol, Aron, Duskull, and many more migrating Kanto and other Region's.

In Viridian Forest alone, There had been 13 of those confirmed migrations alone, and that was very fortunate. Typically Migrations to Kanto ended up along the Victory Road or in the Orange Islands, so for 13 to be available so close to Viridian City for Tobio meant a lot of valuable choices. Before he kicked the bucket he had clocked Sword and Shield, X and Y, Black and White, Black and White 2, Sun and Moon, Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, and Ultra Moon and Ultra Sun. So he knew a lot about certain Pokémon. Thing is though that shit that you couldn't do in the Games even if it made even a little bit of sense in real life was not only plausible here, but oftentimes it was possible.

For instance, Magmar, Electabuzz, Machoke, Scyther, Kadabra, Graveler, Haunter, Onix, Rhydon, Feebas, Dusclops, and Gurdurr didn't need to be traded in order to evolve, it could occur naturally or with a little bit of help. It's just that trading them was the most common method.

Similarly with Eevee, for the most part you could evolve them using Evolutionary Stones, but Umbreon, Sylveon, and Espeon were a little bit different, A Moon Stone for Espeon, A Dusk Stone For Umbreon, and a Shiny Stone for Sylveon only worked if certain requirements were met. For Sylveon the Eevee had to love you as a friend and trust you implicitly. Then you had to have them touch the Stone knee et Dawn, once at Midday, Once at Dusk, and Once before Sunrise.

For Umbreon, your Eevee needed to respect you as a Person and a Trainer, Then at Either Dusk or Midnight touch the Stone. With Espeon it was the same treatment except it had to touch the Stone st Dawn and Mid-Day. In regards to Glaceon and Leafeon, it was more the Environment than anything else, The Stones just happened to be the Catalyst and the Environment the Primer.

Long story short? It was equally As Complicated as it was Simplistic at times.

Point is he had options to choose from and consider up until a certain point, Arceus was the limit as the said in faraway Sinnoh....
