"Get back here you moron" Adam yelled as he chased the runaway thief through the busy market

"hahahaha, good luck trying to catch me with that speed! " The thief replied back and he began to run even faster

Adam looked quite out of breath,as the runaway thief was obviously faster than him,but still he didn't give up, gritting his teeth and gaining more speed...almost catching up to the criminal.

'What the...how are you getting faster....no problem,I'll just have to find a way to slow him down' The criminal thought...

With that,he began to deliberately knock some carts containing vegetables,boxes and tables over behind him in an attempt to slow the young lad down... ,but with Adam's Swift and agile movements,he was easily able to avoid the obstacles.

"Hey,stop right there!" yelled a young man up ahead pointing at the thief,realizing the situation.

Without hesitation,the thief quickly pushed the man aside with his shoulder and the man went crashing into a bunch of tomatoes.

'ph crap,if I don't catch this guy soon, someone could get seriously hurt' Adam thought.

Just then,Adam quickly picked up one cabbage from a nearby table and just like a professional footballer,he kicked it strait ahead, hitting the thief straight in the back.

Though Adam's frail little body couldn't kick very hard, it had enough power behind it to knock him off balance, giving Adam enough time to catch up to him and tackle him onto the floor.

Soon after,two familiar police officers had arrived at the scene to arrested the culprit.

"Nice job there Adam,but I wouldn't recommend you doing these dangerous stuff everyday you know....some of these criminals could have an ability that could seriously hurt you....And since you don't necessarily have an ability of your own,you could get seriously hurt" Officer Brook advised as he handcuffed the criminal.

Officer Brook was a middle-aged man of about average height whose most prominent feature was his round face and neatly trimmed dark hair

He was recruited in the Black Hills village police department not quite long ago and has really made an impact in the maintenance of peace here in the village.

Also,he recently had become quite fond of young Adam as he would usually be the first who chased down a criminal and incapacitated them before the police arrived.

" Yeah, you're probably right...but they always say that you don't have to sit there and wait for opportunities,you have to create them...and if I'm gonna become a pro someday,what better place to start than here?? Adam replied,scratching the back of his head.

"Someday Officer Brook,someday I'm gonna become the next big thing,the greatest Hero this world has ever seen..... Believe it"Adam added as he stared deep into the eyes of the officer.

"Wow, you're pretty determined aren't ya?....sigh, It's nice to see young people following their dreams" Officer Brook replied in a depressed tone.

Looking at the officer,it was evident that something was bothering him,but Adam wasn't quite sure what it was...To break the awekward silence,Adam popped up a question.

"Is there something bothering you officer?"

"Well aren't you the curious one?" He replied with a smile " it's not very important....but I do have something to show you"...he added, reaching into his pocket and bringing out a poster

"Um... what's that?" Adam asked

"you see here Adam, this is..."

just before officer Brook was about to finish his sentence, the sound of a car horn was heard.

" what's the hold up, we gotta get moving" the other cop said while in the car

" sorry little man, I don't have time to explain everything but take this, it might have all the information you need to know about this school. "Brook said as he got into the car and drove off with his partner.

Adam stood there for a while,staring at the poster he had just been given. what was so

important about this school that officer Brook was in such a hurry to tell him....

It all began many years ago when an unknown object fell from the heavens...The military did everything in their power to stop the meteor from hitting the earth but all their efforts proved futile against the powerful meteor.

In the end, the strange object landed deep in the middle of the ocean far from retrievable by the military,and though many lives werent lost,it did manage to cause devastating tsunamis...

millions of Zen worth of damage were caused and many people ended up losing their homes. As a result, the world government was able to establish temporary public homes to provide food and shelter to those who had become homeless from the tragedy that occured.

Everything seemed to be moving smoothly as crime rates were drastically reducing and peace was being sustain...but all that was short lived until the unthinkable happened.

About three years after the incident,mankind began to experience immense climate change ... though experts were unable to explain the strange phenomenon, there were able to conclude that the meteor was the cause of all this.

First came the weather patterns,and then the anonymous mutations in all life on Earth.

Out of the blue, humans began to manifest strange superhuman abilities and some plants and animals mutated into dangerous and uncontrollably monsters that rampaged on a daily basis.

Prior to that, crime rates grew higher as some who pocessed these superhuman abilities began to use what they have to unlawfully get what they want.

These were the days where criminal activity was at it's peak...with mere guns and explosives,the law enforcement agencies couldn't do much against the super powered humans that did what they want,when they wanted to....they were called "Villains"

As crime became more rampant, some brave souls also stepped up and lended a helping hand...These people chose use their acquired abilities to help people and bring peace to the planet...they... were called HEROES...
