Patience (Bleach Fanfic)

Another bleach fanfic, nothing like the others you have seen before. Yes, he is a member of the 2nd Division but he is not staying there or hooking up with Yoruichi. This is not about someone who is reincarnated, knows the plot, and kills Aizen when he is a baby. This is an OC that will affect the story in unique ways. There will be plot points from the original that I will be addressing or changing to fit my headcanon. Follow Yami Kobayashi as he enters the 2nd Division and experience SS through his eyes. And see how he shapes this universe in ways you (probably) never imagined.

Chapter 12

In the icy halls of the giant castle, the sound of shattering porcelain could be heard as well as the frustrated screams of a woman. All of the lower-ranked Quincies kept their heads down and rushed past the meeting room, afraid of getting caught by the woman's anger.

Inside the room, a woman could be seen looking at the report, frustrated about the latest news. There were also the dead bodies of 3 lower ranked members of Wandenriech lying on the floor.

The woman looked European with strong Spanish features. She was not just any member of this new group of Quincy but she was a Sternritter and a Schutzstaffel at that. Sternritters were the elite of Wandenreich who had gotten the personal blessing of their King while the Schutzstaffel were the elites among the elites. She was wearing the standard uniform of the Sternritter.

All members of the Sternritter wore a distinctive white, ankle-length cloak that featured the Wandenreich insignia emblazoned on its back and often, a hood attached to the cloak's collar, each with a button that resembled the Wandenreich insignia that fastened the cloak. Beneath this, the remainder of a personnel's attire usually consisted of a heavily customized variant of the standard Wandenreich uniform — a white double-breasted trench coat tied with a black belt, worn together with white-colored trousers and boots.

Bazz-B and Cang Du walked in to see that she had just come down from her rage. She looked at the two with anger in her eyes, especially when she saw Bazz-B's mocking look.

"Say one word Bazz and I will send you on a mission where you are guaranteed to die. I may not be able to raise my hands against you personally but do not think my influence is weak because of these recent failures."

Bazz-B immediately stopped looking smug. It even seemed like his mohawk had lost its life. He knew that Mira was a woman of her word and a vindictive bitch.

Cang Du looked on from the side, unimpressed. The number of times that Bazz-B had gotten shut down by Mira because of his frivolous attitude made this scene far too common.

"So yo...," Bazz started but changed what he was about to say when he saw Mira's glare and heard metal creaking all around him. "Our recent string of failures as well as the intervention of the Onmitsukido are causing the plans to fall through."

"I know. First, they ruined the chance to get rid of two captain-level shinigami, maybe even 3 by having the Kuchiki Clan fall to infighting. Then they catch spies we planted and now know about our organization, even if they do not know our names and the full extent of us. Even the Kuchiki Clan's ancestral zanpakuto that we were about to steal and give to our shinigami spies was taken right before our eyes."

Mira had been the one in charge of handling matters in Soul Society while the leader of the Sternritter was focused on killing as many Quincy as possible. Both had come up with these plans together but with the intervention of the Onmitsukido, only one side of the plans was going well while Mira was failing.

Jugram had even warned her that if she failed once more, he had permission from His Majesty to cut her down. And her task was not a minor one. She was to kill at least two captain-level shinigami in Soul Society among the 2nd Division's members without letting them know the true power of the Sternritter or Wandenreich.

Mira was thinking about which of the 3 monsters she was going to have to through all of her soldiers at in order to kill when a man ran in, coughing violently because he was out of breath.

"How dare you interrupt!" Mira created a crossbow-like weapon on her wrist made of blue energy. She pointed it at the man ready to kill him if he did not give her a good enough reason.

The man knew his life was in danger so he immediately got down on one knee and stared at the floor beneath him.

"Re... report about what is going on in Seireitei. The battle formation for going against the Quincy army has changed. The 12th Division will no longer be supporting the 11th Division in the direct assault. Instead, they will be swapped with the 13th Division to defend the 4th."

Mira wondered why there was such a major change but then she recalled something. The captain of the 13th Division would constantly get sick. Sometimes, it got so bad that it took him out of duty.

"Captain Ukitake is going to be sick during the upcoming battle. He will be in Soul Society with minimal or no protection as they will be devoting most of their forces to the assault while the 2nd will be focused on a possible attack on major locations like the Central 46 or the Noble Houses. We are gonna use that."

Mira started smiling as she realized that there was still a chance for her to accomplish her mission and keep her life.

"Starting leaking information. Exposing our spies. Let them think we are targeting the Central 46 compound. But don't make it too obvious. And no more spies that can use the last resort. We can't waste valuable resources like that as scouts. But we can make use of them later."

Mira began formulating plans in her head while giving orders to the two Sternritter under her.

'As long as I succeed here, I will not have to fear letting His Majesty down.'

And just like that, the Quincies had come up with another way to make the shinigami pay for going against them in the past.
