An Old Friend or Enemy? Part - 2
AT WITCHDOM MEETING ROOM
SHAWNA'S POV:
The kingdom is being attacked!!! I know who is it... It's the Harnems'. The former allies of the Quinn's. The Kingdom of Quinn and the Kingdom of Harnem were neighboring countries and had been in the alliance for a long period. The king of the Quinn died. Amira fleed the country. And that is when the Harnems took charge. It was their perfect opportunity to take over the kingdom and rise from the ashes. As if they were waiting for this time. they have been under the Quinns for a long time, and now they wanted to come out. Stand out. What is better than this? To attack a strong kingdom that was on its verge of falling? Their perfect opportunity to prove that they were the strongest now. They knew they would not be able to win against us, but still chose to fight us! That is an act of bravery... Or we can say foolish act they have ever been done.
The men who had attacked me a few days ago were from Harnem. The men I bought in, didn't speak a word yet. But that is where I know, they were stubborn and there is something they are hiding.
What is it? I need to find out. I know we can easily take them down, but this will not solve the problem. I need to know why they had so much courage to take over this fight?
As soon as the guard informed us about the sudden attack we didn't waste any more time and Praim asked all of us to meet in the meeting room. Willaim and John took charge at the front line knights to stop them before we find out the missing piece.
Queen kelnier sighed as she asked-" I wonder why this small kingdom suddenly thought to fight against us?"
I looked up and replied with a suspicious yet confirmed voice-" I think... there is something... or we can say someone who is helping them... Giving them information to make them think that they can win... But the fact is that the person who is behind all this knows that Harnem's were not that strong... Then how? That is the question of how?"
Grandma looked at me in confusion and asked-" How are you so sure of it?"
I walked towards her as I replied-" Well, do you remember a few days ago when Harnem's tried to attack me?"
Grandma nodded. I said-" Well, they came to check how strong is our army for a sudden attack!!!. Someone who knew that our soldiers were at the north at this time for training, and we were left with very few guards at the palace. Someone who knows what is the best time to attack the palace when the guards are mostly not active as they were busy in the upcoming war. "
I looked back at them as I can see a few confused faces. I said-" That day when they attacked me, there was a hidden troop behind the bushes ready to pound on the right time. This means they were calculating, how soon my soldiers reached there. And the one who I bought in for the interrogation didn't utter a word even after the third-degree torture. They were planning something. Something that they were sure of their people will come to save them"
Priam was observing each of my words and was making notes. He finally looked up and said-" They attacked us from the south gate!!! where we have the fewer guards!!!"
I replied biting my lips-" Someone is guiding him!!!"
Grandma frowned and said-" General Han!!!"
'Han'. How did I miss him? Yes, indeed he is the one who is helping them. The sudden attack, the men we caught. is all a setup!!! Preplanned. How he is something which I never thought of comparing. His aggression went out of line. Did he ally with Harnem's and Quinns? But I am sure there is more to it.
Now at least we know who are we facing. Praim said-" Now we have to act accordingly. They have attacked WitchDom. They didn't know the Trinity kingdom yet. As you will go out and fight from the front. John and William already leading the former army of WitchWorld. I will be entering from the back with the army of Doah. They will be surrounded by 3 lands. Which they didn't think of yet"
He stood up as he firmly banged his hands on the table, taking the lead. I am falling for this man. But oh wait... This is not the time... sorry.
I did according we planned. William and John were already at the gate fighting with their men. I took a glance at their army, they were fierce and merciless. Animal in human form. The use of wands, swords, and magic are done in this battle. I took a deep breath and thought, somewhere I am unarmed without my golden wand. I miss it. I know if it was with me by now, this would have never happened. Nobody dared to threaten WitchDom.
The golden wand was my soulmate. I couldn't use any other wand after that. This is why I use swords. It was as good as the wand.
I spotted general Han in their army with a witty smirk on his face. He was such a disgrace to this kingdom. I didn't waste any more time picking up my sword against them. The fight was intense. some of our people were dying and some of their people were dying. But wait, they have a backup!!!
I knew about this. I guessed from the last experience. Praim entered with the army of Doah fighting against them. The dust was filled with agony, anger, aggression, and blood. the blood of our kind. Which, I wanted to avoid. But I had no options.
With Praim entering in the battle with the army of Doah, made our stronger. they didn't expect the little surprise we kept for them. They started falling weak. I smirked looking at the scared face of general Han who stood in the middle protected by a few men looking at his downfall. I rode towards him. I got down from Raya as I walked towards him. His face was pale. He knows he lost.
He asked in his scared voice-" H-how?... Whi helped?"
I replied looking directly at his eyes-" The one who cares. The one who truly loved this kingdom."
He was too shocked to answer anything as he steps backward with fear. I gripped my sword and walked towards him. I said-" People like you are a fox, who never had cared for the one who sheltered you, You are someone who will choose to harm the one who saved you. You no longer needed in this land"
I looked at him furiously as I raise my sword to pierce through his heart. But I was stopped. A strong hand stopped me. I looked back furiously. It was King Alan!!!. Is he the one who gave the Harnem this much power? I frowned as he smirked at me.
The next thing I know that he attacked me. He was too powerful but somehow I managed to escape from him. There was an intense fight between us, where he tried to kill me with the sphere and I luckily managed to dodge it.
I attacked him when he had a little diversion, and his arms got hit by my sword. The blood started running down his hands, but he was unbothered. He was too close to me when he grabbed me by my throat. He was powerful!! and he was choking me.
My legs were separated from the ground. I was trying hard to get down from his garb. But I was nothing in front of his god-gifted powers. I so wish to have the golden wand now. I would have burned him alive. Why is he even after me?
His eyes were red in anger as he said-" Did you think you would escape from me, you evil spirit? I will kill you today!!!"
I tried to tell speak under his grip-" I-I am n-not E-evil!!!"
He laughed as he replied-" Yeah... I have heard that a lot!!! My sphere had reacted to you. I don't know what happened but it didn't kill you that day... It will today!!!"
His grip was tightened as my face was all red by now. I saw he took his spare in his right hand as he raise it ready to use against me when his hands were grabbed by roots!!!
Roots? Am I hallucinating now? No!! They are roots, of the giant trees. The trees were alive? His grasp loosened as I fell to the ground. I kneeled to the ground as I scoffed harder due to the lack of breathing. I looked up to see what happening when my eyes widen to see a familiar figure.
Junnie!!! She is here!!! After all these years!!!
Am I hallucinating? is this a dream? No, it was not. She is there, for real.
Junnie was powerful. She was flying revealing her full powers. This made me remember when I had released my full powers. She used her powers of nature as she connected them before using them on Alan. He was now trapped. Kneeling before her. The roots were holding his giant body. She came towards him as she said-" Why do you want to kill her? You are a demi-god. Why do you want to kill an innocent?"
Alan looked at her furiously as he replied-" She is not innocent!! She is evil. My sphere only kill the evil spirits, and it did react to her. Besides, I have got the information she is the one who is killing innocent children to gain such evil powers. She deserves to die"
Junnie looked at him deeply as she replied-" She is not the cause. She is not evil."
She untied him as she walked before him with confidence-" She is a victim"
She explained what happened to me a few years ago where my blood bonded with evils. They died but I still was somehow bonded and the unbind is only be done by the master's choice. King Alan realized his mistake as he looked at me with guilt. He now knows the conspiracy of General Han who misled him.
he didn't waste any time before beheading Han. The harnem got scared of his actions as they stopped the war. Alan announced-" I hate liers. and before I get all of you, I suggest you leave the battleground!!!
They left. We sighed with a grin on our faces. we won. Has it not for Junnie today, I would have died in the hand of a demi-god. God this day was crazy. I was about to get married to an unnamed king, who turned out to be my only love Praim, The three lands united as one, and the return of my best friend Junnie!!!
I smiled as I ran off to her before we shared a ' long missed you ' hug. the tears of happiness began to flow from my eyes uncontrollably. I whispered-" Junnie!!!"
She smiled as she hugged me back with the same passion and replied in a low whisper-" I am here Shawna. I am sorry... I am late... but I promise I will be there with you from now."
We broke the hug as I looked at her with happiness and nodded. Alan was watching the re-unite of an old friend's as he said-" I am sorry Queen Parshawna!!! I had misjudged you"
I looked at him with my red puffy eyes as I replied-" It's okay... People makes mistake, we need to forgive them, giving them one more chance"
William, John, and Praim came over there as their eyes widen too, to see Junnie standing there. Junnie smiled at their shocked face as she said-" don't I get a hug?"
John hugged her and so did Praim. Not to mention she is my best friend, but still, somehow Priam hugging her made me a little jealous. Why wouldn't it be? We are a newly married couple, we were supposed to be on our way home now, but all this happened.
John asked in a teasing voice-" God!!! How did you become such an old witch?"
She sighed as she looked at him in disbelief and replied-" I am just 26. look at yourself, grandpa... You are 28 and old as a grandpa!!!"
John hit her head lightly s she chuckled. Willaim too gave a warm hug. Tiara came from behind and detached them. Tiara knew about the little flirty encounter he had while we planned to meet Brad and Junnie long ago. I guess she was jealous. Why wouldn't she? We all want to protect our love right?
With the war finally stopped. We were breathing happily. we came back to the palace where grandma welcomed her warmly. She also thanked Alan for help. Brad came there at last. they looked at each other like a lost soul. Both dying to embrace each other but parted with ego. We all joined the dinner.
King alan stood up after he finish the dinner and said-" I have to leave. But, Queen Shawna and kIng Priam, if you do need my help ever, do not hesitate to call for me!"
I nodded as Praim shook his hands with a warm smile. Alan turned towards Junnie and said-" For you miss, I am amazed by your beauty as well as your powers, I hope we meet again"
Junnie flashed an awkward smile as Alan left from there with a happy face. Junnie was flushed. Brad noticed that. I can see the anger and jealousy in his eyes. He stood up and said-" I have to leave too, I have to be back at WWS. It was nice meeting all of you. And I wish a happy married life to the newly wedded couple"
He left without even turning back. Junnie watched him leave by. Queen Kelneir said-" We must return now. The kids must be tired."
Finally, I will be alone and be able to talk to Praim, I thought. Grandma and Junnie bid us goodbye as we headed towards the palace of WitchWorld. I looked back one time more to my home before heading out on a new journey of life.
