Amid the lights of sheer golden velvet, Marvel looked into my eyes and there was a static in his facial expression. As if unprepared, he dived head-first in to find a sensation that caught him off guard as he heard my words, knowing the meaning behind them.
"I take my words back," he broke the silence with a calm voice. "The more I know you, I realize that you're not a good boy. At all."
For a second, I just stared at him with undisguised confusion. "What do you mean… by that?"
"I mean, what kind of good boy does something so naughty like that?"
When Marvel tilted his head and smiled while asking, my nervousness told me that it wasn't the type of smile that showed kindness. It was an indication that before destruction, he let me savor his superficial beauty.
