Arthas entered the newly made town and got the reports about the surroundings. He also got the news that Bard had stayed behind while his men went to scout. He scolded the latter for a few minutes and made sure he obeyed his words from now on.
He had gone to exterminate the bandits thus the bandits couldn't attack the town and they didn't have a central leadership to strike back anyway. North and East were secure due to the natural defenses they granted to the town. Only the south was a possible threat as he had gone to the west and the bandits were there. That was why he wanted Bard to personally go south in case any problems rose there. Bard felt ashamed and short-sighted when he heard those things even though he remained in the city with good intentions.
Arthas then proceeded to give the bandits, that he had convinced to join him, pieces of land, and instructed them to build their own houses. He left the trivial matters to Bard; Only the important things were reported to him.
He drew several designs and asked the elves to make weapons, tools, and armor based on them. Eiliandir happily obliged but he first decided to make a crown for the king. They had a few ores of Mithril from Erebor. Eiliandir used those and some gems to make a great crown matching the king's sword.
Among the gold, they had gotten from Thorin, there also laid a lot of precious gems and treasures including Mithril ores. The elves used their special techniques to make the crown. They enchanted it with blessings of wisdom and insight. [https://i.pinimg.com/originals/02/73/31/02733192710c5aac00dffd9f0531ffad.jpg]
They gifted the Crown to Arthas alongside many tools which Arthas had asked them to build based on his memories of Earth; The tools consisted of rakes, forks, spades, shovels, hoes, shears, watering cans, axes and many other things that were needed for basic gardening and farming. The elves had made the items surprisingly fast with high quality. His ideas and designs were easily made into tolls by the elves.
He distributed the items to the people and taught them how to use them. The people began gardening around the town in clearings that existed between the trees. Arthas reprimanded the elves for making the crown without notifying him but since he was a bit touched deep inside, he thanked them at the end and drilled into their heads to always ask permission before doing things. Bard had set a bad example it seemed.
He secured the food this way; With the crown on his head, which he only put in official situations and speeches, he appeared much more kingly and charming. The people may have followed him due to his power and gratitude at first but they came to fully trust his rule seeing how easily he handled the problems and came up with brilliant ideas to solve everything and improve their life.
A group returned with a bunch of ores and minerals from Ironforge, they carried many tools that necessary for living, tools that didn't need the elegant touches of elves. Like hammers and bulky big tools. Dumir and his group had reached the location on the map and had found a big mine near there. they began making Ironforge and a week later they were finished with the place. They began producing minerals, ores, and created tools for themselves and some for the town. The whole thing had taken them a month but they had finally stabilized the situation and sent some things back as a sign of their success.
With the arrival of so many useful things, everything sped up. Some began using stones to smoothen the roads per Arthas's instructions. Some used the soil to make clay and baked it to make bricks and used the bricks to make houses on bedrocks based on Arthas's instructions. Some used wood to make furniture, some tamed animals like sheep and used their wool to make comfortable clothes or leather of other animals they slaughtered to make leather armor and clothes, Arthas had taken an interest in such matters on earth so he could instruct them theoretically and people got it after a few failures. Arthas was deemed a wise king.
All the people would work in days, men laboring with smiles, children helping to deliver massages and gathering fruits and helping with the gardens. Women knitted clothes and decorated the town beside working in gardens and keeping the animals fed. Old man acted as overseer and used their wisdom to guide and lead the people. Arthas oversaw everything and sometimes used his great strength and lent a hand.
At nights, moans and strange sounds filled the half-built town. The atmosphere intimate, the air filled with a unique scent. People worked in days and enjoyed the nights, ate delicious food and fresh fruits, and drank cold water from the streams.
The town was eventually built after 35 days due to the hard work of everyone, the help of elves and Dwarfs that returned from Ironforge occasionally. A road was being gradually built between Ironforge and the town.
The small army that Arthas commanded was armed with the swords and armor made by the elves. They had horses, were well-armed, and trained constantly. They were responsible for hunting and bringing back tamable animals to the town. The small town was a little far away from the location Arthas had in mind for Stormwind so he named the location, 'Elwyn's Shire'.
Galadriel and some of his friends from Lorien came on the 36th day of his kinship. He had developed a new calendar, the Eron Calendar, and the day he left Erebor was officially the 1st day of this new Calendar. Galadriel arrived on the 6th day of the 2nd month of the Year 0. Years consisted of 12 months each with 30 days. The reason for that was because this way he could track the progress of his kingdom much easier.
He reunited with his friends and teacher in a heartwarming manner and a feast began in their honor. Galadriel left soon after giving Arthas an elegant set of armor specially made for him using the best materials at the hands of the most talented elves as a gift from her kingdom. The armor was dark silver colored with golden edges, it fit him perfectly, it was not bulky at all instead it appeared very elegant and exquisite. It had scale-like designs that were golden in the edges, it had all the parts from the helmet to the greaves. It did not weigh much and was designed to allow him to move with flexibility. The thin design made it quite easy to hide it under a cloak. The armor was very hard to the point no ordinary arrows could pierce it. Arthas was very satisfied with this gift.
Some of his elven friends became fast friends with Eiliandir and took great interest in Arthas's way of ruling, they decided to stay for a few months and see how he would rule for themselves. Eiliandir constantly praised him after all.
Arthas set his sights to the location he had in mind and began slowly designing Stormwind with the help of mason elves and Dwarfs since both races were quite good at building things. At the end of the 2nd month, Elwyn's Shire was completely built and was stabilized.
The Small Town now had stone roads and the houses were big and well protected due to the use of bricks and Arthas's design on sealings and house structures. The houses filled with furniture and all the basic necessities. People wore good clothes and ate good food. Elves had taken a liking to the houses Arthas had designed so they made similar houses with a few touches of their own to make it look more elvish; taller, elegant with several floors. Dwarfs that had decided to remain in the town designed theirs shorter, wider, and bulkier.
The surroundings of Elwyn's Shire was essentially a huge garden filled with fruits and vegetables. humans and dwarfs also kept animals since they consumed meat, elves did not. Arthas had insisted that Gardens be outside the town since he hated insects...
The Town was named Elwyn's Town. The roadside was filled with flowers and a pleasant scent lingered in the air. Most of the women had bulging bellies and men were in high spirits and had good bodies. Arthas's house was the biggest since it was also the center he ruled over for the moment. He didn't have time to experiment on his power as he was too busy. He had a future schedule though and things like the advancement of magic/science and paladins and experiments about his powers had to wait until he had built the infrastructure necessary so that his kingdom would run itself by him just giving instructions and orders.
The third month came as Arthas was filled with anticipation, the Elf that had decided to meet him was going to come in 10 days, he wanted to see which Silvan elf was so bold. In elven culture, marriage and love was something that was not arranged, they believed in destiny. This was in a sense a very unique situation that Thranduil had created. Any elf who would accept to meet the arranged person, a human at that, in such a society was bound to be a very interesting individual.
