Crazy old man.

Alex looked down at his weapon that was now half destroyed and useless. "I guess I have to make a new one."

Shanks chuckled. "Yeah, sorry."

Alex shook his head. "Don't be, you only did it because you knew I could make another one… probably even better this time."

Alex smiled and tossed the remains of his weapons into the sea. "Thanks for everything." He said to his staves as they buzzed lightly, almost like they had a soul.

Alex sighed sadly and reached into his pouch to grab some more materials as his other hand had already started forming the tools he would need to craft his next masterpiece.

Alex smiled. "I'm going to make a weapon on par with Ace and my Pop's sword."

Shanks looked down at his sword and smiled. He sat down next to Alex and started to clean and sharpen his blade. "I think this sword you got me is also really impressive… I don't think I can fully use it yet without knowing it's name thought."

Alex scratched his head. "Really? You think it might be a great grade?"

Shanks's smile widened. "I think it might be supreme, even."

Alex whistled, impressed. "That's one hell of a sword then."

Shanks smiled and looked at his weapon tenderly. "He really is. And he was a gift from you, he's going to be with me for the rest of my life."

Alex laughed and felt like Shanks might really form a true bond with his sword. He felt around in his pouch as he was still looking for one last material. Alex stuck his head into Lugh and looked around before screaming.

"M-my seastone! Where is it?!" He screamed.

Roger looked at him from the figure head, which he enjoyed riding on. "Is that the teal stones?"

Alex nodded. "You know where they are? Tell me!"

Roger paused before laughing. "Hahahahaha! They sounded like the sea! They told me they wanted to return to their home. So I threw them overboard!"

Alex's face turned black. Shanks gulped.

"You. did. what?" Alex asked in an ice cold voice.

Roger laughed. "I tossed them overboard, so they could be free!"

Alex soru'd at Roger and his fist hit him in the face. "YOU FUCKING CRAZY OLD MAN!!"

Roger laughed as he was sent flying into the ocean and made a hugged splash. "Hahahaha! Look! I'm just like that seastone! Swimming in the ocean! Hahahaha!"

Alex tried to blitz Roger again but was held back by Shanks and Rayleigh. "I'LL KILL YOU! I DON'T CARE IF YOU'RE LEGALLY INSANE! I'LL MURDER YOU!" Alex screamed.

Roger just laughed and swam around in the ocean.

A few days passed.

Alex had been training all day with everyone and spending all night in the workshop.

He barely slept and was mostly running on a new potion he had made that could help with sleep deprivation. It wasn't some stamina regeneration but just had the ability to weaken the side effects of sleep deprivation. Basically, he was still sleep deprived and had bags under his eyes, but he just didn't feel it.

It also wouldn't help in fights, or allow Alex to use his devil fruit more without training, it's only use was allowing Alex to have more productive hours each day. Which to Alex was one of the most important things in the world. He didn't want to fall behind Shanks in training, but he also had many more things he wanted and needed to do in his day than Shanks did. So his solution was to come up with a way to do both, hence the new potion.

Alex yawned as he walked up to the top of the deck. Roger was standing on the crows nest and hoped down, landing right next to him with a huge smile.

"The island is in sight!" Roger said merrily.

Alex looked at him and shrugged, he was still extremely pissed about losing his seastone, that was an invaluable asset, especially to someone who couldn't use armament haki.

Alex tried to walk away but Roger grabbed his shoulder.

"Wait." He said.

Alex looked back and up towards Roger. "What?"

Roger squatted down so he was on Alex's level. "Can you trust me?"

Alex raised an eyebrow. "What are you talking about?"

"That magic stone… something was weird about it. You shouldn't use it anymore." Roger said seriously.

"The seastone?" Alex asked.

Roger nodded.

Alex thought for a moment. "What makes you say that?"

Roger scrunched his face as he tried to think. "I don't know exactly… I just know it's trouble. It feels like you're messing with something you shouldn't, like you're playing god."

Alex sighed. "Let me guess… the voices told you?"

Roger smiled. "They did!"

Alex nearly throttled the old schizophrenic.

"But also… I can just feel it. I can't explain it, it feels like my observation haki is telling me to avoid it." Roger continued.

Alex took a moment to process the information. "... fine. You might be clinically insane… but somehow, you're always right."

Roger laughed. "Great!"

Alex shook his head. "Is this the real reason why you threw it all out?"

Roger replied. "It was both! Hahahaha!"

Alex just sighed again. "I'll kill you if you're lying to me, old man."

Roger just laughed in response as the ship finally reached its destination.
