Dragon!

Gray arrived on Sky Island, where everyone was gathered around a girl who claimed that Enel was attempting to destroy the island and that all Skypieans would be slain. Gray didn't remember her because he didn't have a good enough memory to recall cannon fodder after all these years, and Skypiea was pre-time skip arc.

Gray reverted to his human form, and Law lay unconscious next to him on the cloud.

"I'm exhausted from all the traveling."

Gray took a glance towards Law, who was unconscious and didn't appear to be waking up anytime soon.

"Seesh!, Why did I bring you if you were simply going to sleep?"

As a result of the girl's words, everyone was hurrying to get somewhere to escape, skypiea. Gray could determine what was going on with Eneru based just on what was going on around him.

"It appears Eneru is on his ship by now, and the combat has begun or is about to commence."

Gray walked through the clouds to the white sea and tossed the Law into it.

When Law opened his eyes, he found himself drowning in seawater. He couldn't help but resist, and Gray was still holding his shoulder.

"About time you woke up."

Gray tossed Law out of the water and on the clouds, where he vomited a mouthful of water.

"Are you trying to kill me?"

"Take a look about you; something big is going on here."

"What are you on about?"

Law looked around and noticed people generating quite a commotion, and he could tell something serious was going on.

"Why are all these people escaping?"

Gray rose and looked at the people who were generating the uproar. He was aware of what was going on right now.

"From what I know, their god intends to destroy this sky island."

"Sky island?"

When he looked down, he realized that the ground was composed of clouds and was fluffy. He could practically jump great distances with ease.

As he looked around, he realized that several people had small wings blooming on their backs, which were useless because they couldn't fly due to their size.

"It is truly a sky island."

"Did you think I was joking when I said I'd go to Sky Island to recruit a new member?"

Law put his hat back on and looked at him with a poker face.

"Of course, I trusted you."

Ryu responded in a sarcastic tone to Law.

"Of course, you had faith in me. Your look told me everything."

Law acted as if he didn't get the sarcasm in his words, and decided to discuss the issue at hand.

"Do you plan to help the people here?"

Ryu shifted his gaze to the upper yard. He expected a ship to appear at any moment and planned to decide his next course of action then.

"I have to because the person I intend to recruit wants to destroy the island?"

Law frowned at Gray's words, he had no idea why he would even try to get someone like him on his crew.

"Are you sure you'll be fine with such a member?"

"I won't recommend him because he appears to be a complete maniac."

Gray could tell what Law was thinking from his poker expression.

'He is just like Doflamingo.'

"Don't get too excited about it. I'll show my power here, and all you have to do is watch and wait for my orders."

Law nodded in agreement as a bolt of lightning struck the ground, causing the commotion to grow even louder.

"It's coming from the upper yard."

"Run!"

"It is here."

A gigantic ship composed of wood and gold could be seen hovering over the land. There was a fight going on between Luffy, Nami, and Eneru.

"Just wait and see!"

Gray began to transform into the purple dragon. His skin was black, with purple stripes running down his body. It has enormous claws and a massive bulk that could crush somebody simply by stepping on it. The purple mist was erupting from his torso.

*clatter*

A thunderous roar resonated throughout the skypiea, capturing everyone's attention and driving them into despair as they looked at the giant dragon flapping its wings, causing a huge gust of wind to blow and soaring just above them.

"Is this the end?"

"What have we done wrong?"

All three onboard heard the roar and looked up to see the big purple dragon glaring at the ship.

The purple dragon began to gather purple flame inside his lips before unleashing a massive, conical blast on his prey, the hovering ship.

"Bolo breathe!"

This blast traveled rapidly and was so extremely powerful that one could feel it. It instantly destroyed the hovering ship while destroying and scorching the surrounding area.

"Hehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehe."

After witnessing the attack, Law broke out in a cold sweat. He smiled as he imagined Doflamingo's reaction to facing Gray.

"I can feel the heat of the blast and the overwhelming devastating might from all the way here, despite the fact that I am not even the target."

Skypieans were all on their knees after witnessing the attack. They realized they couldn't flee if he was the one they were fighting.

"He destroyed the ship. He has to be the true God who came to protect us."

"God has not abandoned us yet."

"That's got to be it."

Gray did not intend or attempt to deceive them; they desired to be deceived in order to have a glimmer of hope for themselves. It's how things have always been in our world where survival of the fittest reigns supreme.

Luffy was able to jump as soon as he recognized the attack was beyond him, and he carried Nami and leaped off the ship while Eneru traveled at lightning speed.

Luffy pulled on his straw hat and turned to face the dragon that had nearly killed him.

"Who is that bastard?"

Eneru was furious when he saw the dragon reduce his prized airship into a heap of dust. He was really insane.

"How dare a mere dragon do something like that to God's ship?"

Nami frowned at Gray with wide eyes that seemed to be about to pop out of their sockets. She was already terrified of Eneru, but when he appeared, she lost hope of ever surviving.

"Who or what is that Dragon? And how can anyone win against It if it can easily destroy such a massive ship with such ease?"

Everyone's attention was entirely focused on the dragon. None of them wanted to get on his bad side.

"Luffy, are you immune to fire?"

"No, I am not, but if it tries to interfere with us, then I will kick its ass."

Luffy had a huge grin on his face and didn't consider the gravity of the situation, which added to Nami's distress.

Nami grabbed Lufyy's hand to halt him from attacking Gray.

"I don't think we should annoy it. It could have just not noticed us aboard the ship."

Somewhere in the water 7,

Beppo had met with the broker and obtained his permission to oversee the ship's construction.

"This ship is huge, with numerous custom-made features."

With a twinkle in his eyes, Sachi observed the scale of the building and the materials employed.

"It appears that the captain spent a huge amount of money on this."

Penguin remained silent, listening to their chat but not participating as he was a shy one.

"I hope our new captain is as good as Law."

"I believe he is; otherwise, why would he accept us as crew despite our weaknesses?"

"You are right about that."
