Chapter 141: Boarding a marine warship

"You mean to steal their eternal log pose to the prison?" Asked Zoro.

"No, I mean to steal everything! The ship included." Said Vivi.

"Why do we need their ship? we already have a great one!" Franky looked to have become offended by the suggestion.

"Calm down Franky, I'm sure Vivi did not mean it like that." Namie tried to calm the giant man down.

"Do you really want to go the most secure Marine prison on a pirate ship?, they will start shooting at us before we make it to shore. Going with a marine ship should be a lot easier. And there is another reason for needing their ship, but I can explain later." Explained Vivi.

"Oh!, infiltration mission, I like it!" Exclaimed Usopp.

"Do we have to pretend to be marines?" Luffy made a disgusted expression.

"Just for a little bit, I don't like it either, but it seems like the best way to get to Ace." Said Vivi.

Luffy grumbled something but then nodded.

"What about this ship?, for what we have been told, if it wasn't for the real Kuma protecting it, there would be no ship at this point. We cant leave it alone." Said Nami.

Robin gave Vivi a measuring glance.

"She is planning on dividing the crew in two."

"What? what do you mean, dividing the crew?" Asked their Captain.

"Yes, I was going to suggest just that…" Admitted Vivi. "One group will go to Impel Down and rescue Ace while the other group will hide and protect the ship."

"I'm not sure that I like that idea…" Said Zoro.

"We just got reunited after two years, we have to go separate again?" Chopped looked sad.

"It would only be for a short while, but this is just a suggestion. I'm not the Captain of this crew, if anyone else has an idea, feel free to share and then Luffy can decide on which method we will use." Said Vivi.

Everyone stayed in silence, trying to come up with something else.

"I think Vivi's statement is solid" Robin was the first one to speak. "Bringing a big group of people for an infiltration mission in a prison seems like a bad idea and by dividing the crew in two, we can also secure the Sunny."

"I can't really think of anything better either." Admitted Nami.

"Then, it's decided then…we have no time to waste!" Spoke Luffy.

"Good, so…who goes to Impel Down and who stays here?" Asked Usopp.

"I have some suggestions if you would like to hear them, but…" Robin looked to one side.

"Yes, they are here already." Said Vivi.

The marine ship that had been approaching slowly was almost upon them already.

"Strawhats!, surrender peacefully or we will be forced to employ violence!" Shouted a tall man with a purple mohawk that was standing on one of the rails of the ship.

"We can decide who goes where later. Right now, we need to make sure that none of those marines escapes. If they warn the rest about our intentions…we will never make it into that prison." Warned Vivi.

"You mean that we have to kill them?" Said Ussop with horror.

"What?!" Shouted Chopper.

Zoro gave her a serious look.

Vivi rose her hands up.

"Guys, come on! I'm not that bloodthirsty. I just meant to capture them and keep them on the ship tied up. As long as they can't communicate with the other marines, we are fine"

Nami seemed to breathe in relief at the suggestion.

"That's fine by me, let's do this!" Exclaimed Luffy.

Vice-admiral Momonga was observing the Strawhats with care.

"It doesn't seem like they want to surrender…fire!"

A row of marines rested their rifles against the rails of their ship and prepared to shoot.

"Don't let them shoot! The noise could alert more people to our location!" Exclaimed Vivi.

Ussop went into accion. "Pop Green…Midori Boshi!" He shot a small seed at the Marines and not even a second later, many green tentacles appeared out of nowhere and started to attack them.

"Nueve fleur…flip" Robin started to use her ability to make the marines fall down and lose their weapons.

Luffy was about to jump into their ship when Vivi placed a hand on his shoulder.

"Captain, may I be the one who fights that Vice-Admiral? He is an old acquaintance."

"You know that mohawk guy?" Asked Luffy.

"We met when I was a child and we fought two years ago at Enies Lobby. He went easy on me that time…I want to try again." Explained Vivi.

Luffy chuckled. "Sure, go ahead."

"Thanks, Captain!" Vivi jumped onto the marine ship. She did not need to use any special ability other than physical strength as the ship was only around 100 feet (30 meters) away.

Luffy jumped after her and went for the remaining marines.

The rest of the crew stood there watching the fight from the Sunny. They knew that Luffy was enough to handle those few remaining marines so there was no need for them to interfere.

Vivi landed at the front of the ship, where Momonga was cutting the plant that Usopp had summoned.

"Ugg!" He grunted as he slashed the last tentacle. But then turned around to face her.

"Nefertari Vivi…you come to fight me again."

"I would give you the chance to surrender in peace, but I doubt that you would take it." She said.

"Certainly not…I have not trained for so many years to surrender to a pirate." Mononga did not allow any change in his expression to occur, showing his discipline.

"The last time, you held back a lot." She adopted a fighting posture.

"You won't be able to do that again."

Momonga held his sword with both hands.

"It does seems that way…"
