Chapter 6

Alors explained to Tanzo "Hasshoken focuses mainly on your physical strength to produce shockwaves. You are already strong enough to learn Hasshoken, but to increase the intensity of the shockwaves, you have to increase your physical strength like me. Or else, there are chances that the shockwaves are cancelled out by someone who has the same physical strength as you."

Alors then demonstrated the move and showed it to Tanzo. After looking at it closely, he said "So, you vibrate your arm to produce shockwaves. It will take quite a toll on you in battle, as it is not easy to vibrate any body part so fast."

"You are correct. To use this in battle, you will have to practice a lot. It took me 10 years to learn this and 5 years to be fully proficient to use it in battle." Alors said. Tanzo started trying out the technique using the same principle of soru, which requires the user to kick the ground rapidly 10 times in a second. Tanzo theorized that he should be able to produce shockwaves if he can kick more than 10 times in a second while staying in the same place. Since he had already mastered soru, he decided to start learning from his leg and move to his fists.

This way, he started training Hasshoken and the search for Germa Kingdom continued. The reason Tanzo was confident that they are on the grand line is because the Germa Kingdom is also a mercenary kingdom and they were recently hired by some kingdom in South blue. The Navy had received a call from the kingdom, asking for assistance.

The Navy ignored the call since both the countries are under the world government, so it would be considered a war between kingdoms and nothing else. Tanzo heard this when he was in the Navy headquarters and knew that they should be returning from their work. The first half of the grand line is between East blue and South blue while the other half is between West blue and North blue. Since the Germa Kingdom usually has power in the North blue, they will definitely come to the New world to go to the North blue.

Days went on, and it had been 18 days since Tanzo's crew grew, but he didn't find the Germa Kingdom. It wasn't completely pointless though. He managed to achieve total mastery over all the six powers and wanted to use the Rokuogan, but his paralysed arm wasn't helping. Tanzo was thankful to Alors for the progress he saw in these 18 days. The only reason he managed to master Geppo was with the constant spars he had with Alors. As for the Hasshoken, it still needed more time, but Tanzo felt that he was close to learning it.

It was a regular day on the ship, with everyone doing some work. Tanzo and Alors were sparring again, with a few jobless pirates cheering for them. Tanzo and Alors were continuously dodging and hitting each other. Although Tanzo dodged almost all the punches, the shockwaves constantly caused him significant damage.

While he was dodging, he heard Hiramera shout "Tanzo, we have a fish that claims to have seen those snails you need." Tanzo was distracted by it and he took a punch to his face from his right side. Although he wanted to react, he couldn't move his right arm.

Alors was skilled enough to not use his Hasshoken when the punch landed, leaving Tanzo with only a bruise on his face. Tanzo rubbed the bruise on his face and walked to the two mermaids. He wasn't angry at Alors, because it is completely his fault for getting distracted. Tanzo asked Hiramera "So, where are they?" and Mero replied "The snails started climbing up the other side of the Red line five days ago. The fish says they are on our left, near the calm belt. It took the fish three days to swim here with all its strength."

Tanzo patted their heads and they smiled. Tanzo got close to the mermaids in these 18 days and they also smiled when they were around him. Tanzo then called Alors "Alors, get me the keys to their collars."

Alors handed him the keys and Tanzo unlocked the collars. When both the mermaids were free, they immediately jumped at Tanzo and burst into tears while constantly thanking him. Tanzo just patted their backs and said "Now, go live your lives happily."

Both the mermaids looked a little sad when they were leaving, but they immediately left after they saw Alors. The mermaids thanked Tanzo for the last time and jumped into the sea. Tanzo stood there and waved to them. Alors came to his side and asked "Do you really have to let them go? If we sold them, we would be rich."

Tanzo smiled and said "Trust me. They will go back to the Fish-men island and talk about us. This will help us in the long run. There is another benefit from this, which you will definitely learn in the future." Alors looked at the confident eyes of Tanzo and didn't ask anything else.

Alors and Tanzo then walked to the deck and Alors announced "This is going to be the last day Captain Tanzo will be with us for a while. You know what to do." The whole crew shouted "Give him a good send-off." With this, another banquet began and by the end of the banquet, they finished all their food.

"You didn't have to use all the food on the ship." Tanzo said and Alors replied "It doesn't matter. Our log pose is already set to the next islands. We will manage somehow. Don't worry about us."

Tanzo smiled, giving up on educating Alors to be serious. He then handed Alors a transponder snail and said "If you ever feel that you need my help, just send me your location." Alors took it and said "I don't think I will need this. I will be waiting for your call for help."

Tanzo smiled and jumped up. He turned into his dragon form, this time he didn't morph and he just turned into one. The whole crew looked at the dragon again and admired their captain. Tanzo then flew in the direction of the Germa Kingdom. He still wasn't used to flying, but he didn't have a choice. He learnt it while flying itself.

It took him 4 hours to get to the place and he was able to see the huge snails crawling on the Red Line. Tanzo immediately flew towards it and used Heat breath on one of the snails. The snail obviously died from the attack and fell down. Tanzo then shouted "Vinsmoke family. Come out with this instance if you want to live. I believe you know what will happen if you don't listen to me."

It didn't take long before a red light beam came flying towards Tanzo. Since he is a big target, he obviously couldn't dodge it. They didn't stop with that. There was some poison gas released at him, an electric sword and an extended arm. Tanzo didn't dodge it instead, he used another Heat breath at them, going through the Germa 66 siblings and last them, destroying another snail.

The poison fog also cleared from the force of the Heat breath and Tanzo could then see Reiju and her brothers flying in the air. along with a few soldiers. The soldiers were ordered by the brothers to charge at Tanzo, but they were stopped by a voice that said "Stop". They all stopped in their tracks and turned back.

A man in his 40s came flying and looked at Tanzo. He asked "You are not Kaido. Who are you? What do you want from us?" Tanzo looked at him and said "Vinsmoke Judge. Nice to meet you. I am here for your daughter."

"You want to marry my daughter and you introduce yourself this way." Judge said and Tanzo replied "I would never want to have any relationship with you. I just need her for something. In return, I will not destroy your kingdom. Now, before you refuse, think about all the things you would lose if all your snails fall to the sea."

Judge glared at Tanzo before saying "Fine, you can do whatever you want, but it should be in my kingdom. I will not allow you to take her away." and Tanzo agreed to his condition. While this may look like a good father looking out for his daughter, it is far from the truth. They are in a vulnerable state while they are climbing along the Red Line. Judge is waiting for the moment they reach the seas. Tanzo also knew that, but he still agreed to the condition because he can't keep his dragon form for long. He is already at his limit and could turn to his human form at any time.

They retreated back to the kingdom and Tanzo flew to the snail. When he got close, he came out of the dragon form and jumped onto the one where the Vinsmoke family landed. There was a door to a specially made room that was correctly oriented even when the snail is perpendicular to the Red line.

Tanzo entered the room with the Vinsmoke family and immediately when Tanzo entered the room, Niji, the one with blue hair, rushed to Tanzo with his sword coated with electricity. Tanzo dropped his bag and used Kami-e to easily dodge his attack. From his side, a hand came towards him, intending to whip him.

Tanzo used Soru to move from the trajectory of Yonji's extended arm. Tanzo appeared behind Judge, caught his neck from behind and said to Reiju "Get me my bag." Judge nodded to her, indicating her to follow Tanzo's orders. Reiju picked Tanzo's bag and brought it to Tanzo.

Tanzo said "Drop it near my leg and move back." and Reiju did as she was told. While Judge was both angry and a little scared, his children didn't look least bit concerned. They might have realised that Judge's death wouldn't affect them much. Tanzo quickly bent down and took out the bomb collar of the mermaids. Tanzo had already predicted this outcome from them.

Tanzo kneed Judge on his back and put the collar around his neck. Judge is taller than Tanzo, which forced him to use Geppo to even have his hand around Judge's neck. Tanzo released Judge after he put on the collar and said "You will be my slave till I am done with my work here. Co-operate if you don't want to die."

Judge glared at Tanzo and from his face, anyone could tell that he was itching to kill Tanzo in the most horrific way possible. Tanzo thought 'I wonder who made these collars. Although I have a bad past with them, they have helped me repeatedly after I reincarnated here.'

Tanzo asked Judge to arrange him a room and headed there. After a while, Tanzo asked Reiju to meet him in his room. Reiju entered the room and stood before Tanzo, who was sitting on his bed, with Judge standing near the bed. Tanzo said "I don't want your father listening to us. Knock him out."

Reiju approached her father and when they were close, Judge whispered something to Reiju. Reiju then punched her father in the face and knocked him out. Tanzo said "You could have just dealt a blow to his head. That is less painful than the one to the face. You should really hate your father."

Reiju smiled and said "You should not be telling that. You are the first suitor that caused such a ruckus just to meet me. I like it." Tanzo just chuckled and said "Happy to know that I managed to impress a beautiful woman such as you."

Reiju chuckled as well and comfortably sat beside Tanzo. She then asked "So, I am assuming your paralysed arm is due to some poison and you want me to get rid of it. I am now curious. How did you know that I can even heal people with poison."

Tanzo replied "Let's just say that I can read a woman's heart easily." Reiju still had the smile on her face and asked "Do you flirt with every woman, even when they can kill you easily?"

Tanzo replied "Depends. If the woman is someone who had a chance to kill me with her poisonous gas, but instead helped me energize by using some other gas, I would definitely flirt with her." The only reason Tanzo was able to maintain the dragon form longer and fight after landing is because the pink gas that Reiju released earlier took away all his fatigue and energized his body to keep fighting longer."
