Ch 11 : Vs. Arlong Pirate

" Just you alone? You are far from it, kid!"

Arlong grinned. Like a maniac, he rushed towards Rei, leaping and using his moves: "shark ON DARTS!"

The whole person shoots himself at his opponent like a torpedo, piercing them with his sharp and apparently unbreakable nose.

Unfortunately for Arlong, Rei was prepared this time.

He carefully watched Arlong's move, and just when Arlong was about to hit him, he sidestepped and launched a few shots toward Arlong.

BANG!! BANG!!!

Two bullets were launched from Hades and hit Arlong's limbs.

Bloods began to flow from it. However, Arlong didn't seem to be impacted by it at all.

With speed even higher than before, he rushed again at Rei.

" Not bad, but that was only the opening!"

For the next few minutes, Arlong repeatedly attacks Rei.

He utilized the fact that he was bigger and faster than Rei and tried to push Rei to the corner.

However, every time Arlong attacked, Rei always find a way to shoot him down with Hades, making the battle pretty much even by now.

But this stale situation didn't last that long.

Arlong who grew impatient, took out a water bottle, crushed it, and threw the water at Rei.

"Shoryo no Mizu!!!"

The water that was thrown away by Arlong was so fast. In fact, in the original anime, Sanji even compared this attack to a gunshot.

Rei was caught unaware of this attack.

He was readied to tank this attack by using his Defensive armor, but then Rei noticed he had made a mistake.

The time he used to hesitate, Arlong had rushed toward him.

The thrown water from the start was only a decoy, and the real thing was Arlong rushing at him.

" Peek-a-boo!"

BAMM!!!!

Arlong raised his fist toward Rei and hit Rei's chest. This time, even the defensive armor could not fully mitigate the damage, and Rei suffered some injuries.

The impact of the punch was so big that Rei was thrown out of the building and fell into a nearby pool in Arlong Park.

" Hahahahaha, just wait kid, I would not let you down this easily!"

Arlong laughed as he also jumped to follow Rei.

Nami was left alone on the upper floor, and her face was filled with worries.

Nonetheless, it was not the time for her to daze off.

The huge movement just now seemed to have woken up some Fishman, and even though many Fishman have been killed by Rei in ambush, there was still some Fishman laying around.

Nami quickly used the cloak to cover her body and blend into the night as she also followed Arlong and Rei going downward.

Back to Rei, Rei had just come out of the water after being thrown into the water by Arlong. His hair was still wet, and he quickly took a deep breath.

" Huff Huff, that bastard.... It seemed that I really have no other way."

Rei wiped the blood on the corner of his mouth.

His eyes now focused on Arlong who had been standing on the opposite side.

Arlong's eyes were still full of confidence. It was as if he never treated Rei seriously from the start.

" How about it, Kid? I'm going to be serious, now!"

Arlong then took out his teeth, which immediately grew again, and began to use them as a weapon like in the anime.

One man and one Fishman. Two people with a huge different posture began to clash once more, but this time, Rei really used the fact that he could blend into the night and attacked Arlong like an assassin.

On Nami's side, Nami was rushing hurriedly to Rei's side.

Along the way, she had seen a lot of Fishman, but she chose to ignore them as Rei was her first priority.

Nami was just about to arrive at the poolside where Rei and Arlong were currently battling, but then something blocked her way.

" Hmm.. is it Nami? So all the fuss before is about you?"

Kurobi, one of Arlong's henchmen, was standing in her way.

In a normal situation, Nami would not be so brave, but now she just wanted to get to Rei's place as soon as possible.

" get away Kurobi, I don't have time to play with you!"

" Hmm.. then come here, try and bypass me if you could!"

Kurobi didn't waste any more time and quickly assumed the Fishman Karate posture.

He had found there was something weird about this, and even though Nami was someone treasured by Arlong, she was still human and she couldn't escape the suspicion.

Nami saw this and cursed.

Why this time, she thought.

The two were caught in a deadlock as one was not giving up while the other had no intention of giving way.

But soon, Nami began to notice something strange here.

Kurobi... why didn't he attack her?

It has been some time, and if Kurobi wanted to, he could easily subdue her.

The fact that she could remain standing only means one thing.

Kurobi had no intention to harm her!!

Under this assumption, a plan quickly rose in Nami's mind.

She only had one chance before Kurobi would notice that she was dangerous.

This evening, Rei actually gave something to Nami. And even though she didn't know whether it could truly work or not, she could only put her trust in Rei.

All of a sudden, a small green bead appeared on Nami's hand, and she began to put her energy on the small bead.

Almost a minute later, the bead began to shine brightly, and only now that Kurobi notice something was amiss.

" Wait, what are you-"

" Too late!!! Thundara!!!!!!"

BOOM!!!!

Lightning fell from the sky directly at Kurobi's body.

And even though Fishman was stronger than humans, they were not strong enough to tank the force of thunder.

Kurobi's body was burned by the thunder and soon enough, he fell with his eyes all white.

" I'm sorry, but I'm no longer the previous me!"

Nami said as she left the fainted Kurobi and went toward the direction of Rei.
