The sword that echo lightning

At the edge of a towering mountain cliff, nestled amidst a lush canopy of emerald green foliage, stood a remarkable tree house, a sanctuary of solitude and serenity.

Balanced delicately on sturdy branches, it appeared as though it had grown naturally from the surrounding trees as if it were an extension of the wilderness itself.

The tree house was a marvel of architectural ingenuity, crafted with a keen appreciation for its natural environment.

Its wooden beams and panels blended seamlessly with the organic textures of the forest.

Weathered by time and kissed by the elements, the exterior wore a coat of rich, earthy hues that mirrored the moss-covered rocks and tree trunks nearby.

Inside the wonderful tiny house was filled with unknown pressure. Reagan stared at the kid in front of him.

His grandson, the one who he heard from his son-in-law many times. Genius at math and many other things.

' He seems like a sharp kid but appears ordinary. Very ordinary. ' Reagan noted these words to himself. ' And he had a great observation skill. He must be inherited from me. But he is a bit odd. '

" You said you want to learn from me. " Reagan said.

Rei nodded furiously. ' This is my chance. A former admiral is no joke. If this old man rejects me, I can just tell my parents. '

As a former agent, Rei started to form various plans.

" Do you know anything about my strength? "

Rei thought for a moment, he never heard of an admiral. He had never seen him in the anime or this world. No one mentioned that.

So he shocked his head. " No. "

Reagan smiled. " I am a rather famous one but looks like this generation never heard of me. "

He tilted his head, signalling Rei to follow him. Reagan grabbed the black sword which is displayed on the wall.

He smiled tracing the plain black scabbard.

In front of the mountain cliff, Reagab stood confidently. The scabbard which is now placed on his waist, touched the hilt. Feeling a familiar sensation he experienced over a hundred thousand times.

Rei's eyes light upon the scene of Reagan holding the sword. His body shivered for a moment.

' What is this feeling? ' He looked at his hands now the colours leaving.

' Fear. '

Rei smiled in sweat.

Reagan took out the sword slowly and quickly slashed at the sea.

With a swift and fluid motion, he brought the blade slashing down, a singular display of his immense power.

As the sword descended, crackling energy filled the air, charged with the raw force of thunder. The blade cleaved through the air, leaving behind a trail of shimmering sparks in its wake.

A resounding boom reverberated across the landscape, echoing through the cliffs and reaching even the depths of the sea.

Waves surged upward in a colossal spray, defying gravity for a fleeting moment before crashing back down with a thunderous impact. A shockwave rippled through the sea, causing a tremor that reverberated far beyond the immediate vicinity.

The display was awe-inspiring. The sea, once an untamable force, had succumbed momentarily to Reagan's might.

" Holy shit! " Rei cursed.

" Language. " Reagan reminded.

" You got no devil fruit. " Rei said.

" My sword was enough to put those pirates down. " Reagan explained. " I am just enjoying the vacation but these days the sea had become just a wild place. "

" You got retired before Pirate King's dead? "

Reagan laughed. " Garp and Sengoku are powerful people. I can rest in peace for a while. "

Rei scratched his head and sighed. " So you will train me, right? "

" What is your view on marine? "

Rei laughed. " They are good guys. " He replied with a childish outlook. He just wanted to be viewed as an innocent kid but the real reason was he didn't want to answer those words.

The agent doesn't have right or wrong. Those words were forged in his mind for a very long time.

Reagan picked up the waver from Rei. He bumped the back of the sword at Rei's head.

" You don't have to answer just don't doubt. You will find the answer eventually. "

Rei rubbed his head and nodded.

Reagan said. " Come let's eat the meatball. You can taste the grandma's teaching from her. " He laughed.

One week had passed from that day, Rei had begun his training under Reagan.

Rei, determined and focused, sprinted across the flat expanse of ground, his body burdened by the weight he carried. Each footfall sent vibrations reverberating through the earth, propelling him forward with unwavering purpose.

The rhythmic pounding of his footsteps harmonized with the gentle lapping of the nearby vast blue sea.

The sun bathed the scene in a golden glow, casting long shadows as Rei pushed his limits.

The weight he carried strained against his muscles, challenging him with every stride, yet he pressed on undeterred.

After an hour of running around, he dropped to the ground.

He gave his body a rest.

A shadow cast on his face, blocking the vast blue sky. Rei snorted. " You are blocking my view. "

Reagan nodded. " That is the point. Keep moving. " He kicked Rei.

" Ahh! "

Then he started moving again. ' He just appeared out of nowhere. ' Rei thought. He had been looking around during training but he can't even find not a single hair of Reagan.

The sun once bright in the light now changed its skin to a deep yellow.

Rei's training is now finished.

The wind picked up as usual but he dared not to rest. Being kicked several times was not a good experience. He felt the pain even inside his body.

Rei got up and punched at the left. His punch was caught by Reagan who was impressed. " Nice instinct. "

Rei smirked. ' I would be stupid if I don't know the pattern you show me this past week. '

" Now, we can advance to another step. " Reagan said.

' Not good. ' Rei tried to move his legs but stress had taken over.

Reagan grabbed his shirt and throw him to the sea. " Fuck you. " Rei cursed his voice echoing the shore.
