Order and Chaos

"You mean… 'Gulp!' the WG wants the Seas to be in Chaos, that doesn't make any sense." Zephyr exclaimed in disbelief.

"No! What they want is stability, but not stability of the World, but Stability of their Rule."

Sengoku also had a look of realization, "If everyone is busy fighting among themselves, and the WG is there to help from time to time then…" he muttered silently in disbelief.

That's enough Hercule! The WG has indeed done a lot of bad stuff, but sacrifice is sometimes necessary for the greater good, not to mention that the Rocks pirates are a troublesome bunch."

Kong couldn't sit back any longer and watch as Hercule blemished the WG's reputation in front of the future pillars of the Marines.

"I understand what you mean Admiral Kong, but can you swear on your Justice, that the World Government is incapable of wiping out the Rocks pirates?" Hercule questioned.

"That…?" this left Kong speechless.

"How do you know these things, Hercule?" Zephyr asked.

"My dad told me." Hercule didn't hide it and answered nonchalantly.

Hearing Hercule's answer, everyone had a look of understanding, they all knew a little about Hercule's dad, and it made sense that a man who once took on the WG would know certain secrets.

'If just a percentage of the stuff my dad knew about this world was ever to be known to the world, it would probably destabilize the whole world.'

Hercule didn't know why, but he felt like boasting about his dad's knowledge, he remembered when he was little, how shocked he was at the stories and secrets about the world his dad would tell him.

How he wished he could share those stories with others to also see their expressions, but after growing up, he matured a lot, and those thoughts hadn't popped up in his head in years.

No one doubted Hercule's words, they all felt that a pirate that only has strength and no brains would not be able to novitiate a deal with the WG.

"It doesn't matter what Hercule says, the Marines will do their best to eliminate the evils that plague the Seas, that is our purpose, we are different from the WG, 'WE' are the Marines, I don't need to remind you of why you joined."

Seeing that Hercule words were starting to get to his protegees, Kong quickly spoke out to remind them of what the marines were, which worked as they all nodded their heads in approval.

"Yes, Admiral Kong is right, we are the Marines, and we have the choice of whether or not we uphold our Justice or betray it," Zephyr shouted passionately.

"I have to agree with Zephyr, the Marine is 'US', we just have to do our best to carry out our justice as much as possible. Sengoku said encouragingly, which worked as Garp's puzzled face regained its usual carefree expression.

Getting up from his seat Kong said "Alright, you're dismissed, I hope you guys don't hold a grudge against the WG, remember that without them, the world will probably fall into chaos."

Back in the Triangle, in a giant three-story concrete building.

'Nature's News'

Inside one of the rooms of the building stands tall, a man clad in a pristine white scientist's robe, his silhouette sharply defined against the sterile backdrop.

The room hums softly with the low thrum of machinery, punctuated by occasional beeps and whirs from various scientific apparatuses.

The man's demeanor exudes an air of focus and intellectual prowess as he engages in a discussion with Ephon.

"How are the long-distance News Drones coming, are you sure that they wouldn't be able to replicate them now?"

"They run on electricity converted from water, are capable of recharging themselves from the sun when low on energy, and will activate a self-destruction sequence when they sense invasion, making it impossible to replicate.

"That's good, we only need to keep this technology blueprint a secret until the 1500s, by then, they should have invented similar techs." Ephon

"So when will we start employing them into practical use, if you don't mind me asking."

"It's not a problem for me to tell you, Dr Fuma, I plan to introduce the world to Nature's News in 1485." Ephon revealed.

'If things go as planned.'

What Ephon and Dr Fuma were discussing was Nature's Family's plan to expand their newspaper business to the World. This was a decision Ephon made after one of his talks with his son.

Ephon had always been aware of the power of the News if one can have full control of the News, he believed they can turn the world into their private army, which is why Ephon incorporated it into his territory so early on, but now that he knew of his son's plans, he decided to expand it to the World.

"What about its defense, can it survive a storm?" Ephon asked.

"You underestimate me Ephon, along with being waterproof, it can make it through a storm in the new world. And even if it is knocked off its trail and into various harsh terrains, as long as it has energy, it will continue to follow its computed instructions."

Dr. Fuma boasted as he felt insulted by Ephon's concerns, but Ephon wasn't bothered by Fuma's words, he instead was elated, because stage one of his plan could be put into motion.
