Four days later, the smuggling ship, along with two confiscated pirate ships, finally arrived at the port town of Spider Miles.
This was also one of the Donquixote family's bases in the North Sea.
"Great, we're finally back."
"Thank goodness Senoir Pink was in charge of this trip, otherwise those bastards would've succeeded."
"Yeah, it's really lucky to be able to work under Senoir Pink."
"By the way, Senoir Pink, what do we do with those two brats? Are we really going to take them to meet Captain Doflamingo?"
As they disembarked, a crew member asked Senor an odd question.
Then, two children were seen being thrown from the ship.
And it was none other than Abel and Law, who had hidden in the barrel and managed to sneak onto the ship!
Whether it was because all their luck had been exhausted when they snuck onto the ship, by the third day, the food and water they had brought onboard were all consumed due to extreme hunger.
Thus, they decided to take a chance and come out of the barrel, as they were not clear about the ship's final destination and how many days it would take to reach.
Not wishing to be the first transmigrators to starve to death, Abel had no choice but to take a gamble.
The result was they lost the bet.
While they sneaked into the kitchen for a voracious feast, they were caught red-handed by a crew member looking for a late-night snack.
Considering he was originally targeting the Donquixote family, Abel didn't resist much. He was simply captured alongside Law.
Then, they were brought before the executive, Senor Pink.
Lucky for them to encounter Senor Pink!
A hard-boiled man whose actions were quite unlike the rest of the Donquixote family.
While others were busy pillaging, he was helping an old lady cross the road.
Not only did he value loyalty, but he also had a rare sympathy for the weak.
This was nothing short of astonishing!
Those unaware would think he was a moral model within the navy.
Abel really couldn't understand how Doflamingo managed to recruit an underling like Senor Pink - they seemed like totally different kinds of people!
Therefore, when facing Senor's inquiries, Abel smartly leveraged his current 'age advantage' and selectively narrated his andLaw's story, emphasizing their strong desire to join the Donquixote family.
Two children who had escaped from the White Town, wishing to join the family in their limited remaining lives, to avenge the deceased.
What a touching story!
Whether others believed it or not, Senor, who understood the inside story, did, for the palsy disease evident on Abel and Law could not be faked.
Any other executive might have disposed of these two brats for fear of trouble.
But Senor would never do that!
So, his decision was to take the children to see young master Doflamingo and let him decide their final fate.
"Senoir Pink, what should we do with those two runts? Are we truly taking them to see Captain Doflamingo?"
This peculiar question was posed to Senor by a crew member as they disembarked the ship.
Shortly after, two kids were hurled off the ship.
These were none other than Abel andLaw, the mischievous pair who had hidden in a barrel to stealthily board the ship.
Perhaps all their luck was spent sneaking aboard, for on the third day, their rations had been exhausted due to severe hunger.
They decided to try their luck, emerging from the barrel, as they were uncertain of the ship's final destination and how long the journey would last.
To avoid becoming the first transmigrants to starve, Abel was forced to take a risk.
The gamble, however, didn't pay off.
As they stealthily entered the kitchen for a feast, they were caught in the act by a crew member seeking a midnight snack.
Given Abel's original intent was targeting the Donquixote family, he didn't resist much and was captured along withLaw.
They were then presented to Senor, the executive.
It was fortunate they encountered Senor!
A tough-as-nails man who carried himself differently from the rest of the Donquixote clan.
While others busied themselves with plunder and destruction, he was assisting an elderly woman across the street.
Not only did he uphold loyalty, but he also displayed an uncommon sympathy for the weak.
This was truly astounding!
Those unfamiliar might mistake him for a paragon of morality within the navy.
Abel genuinely struggled to comprehend how Doflamingo managed to recruit an aide like Senor- they seemed like completely different people!
Therefore, when faced with Senor's inquiries, Abel wisely employed his current 'age advantage', selectively recounted his andLaw's tale, and passionately voiced their aspiration to join the Donquixote family.
Two children who escaped from the White Town, wishing to join the family in the remaining span of their lives, seeking revenge for the departed.
What a deeply moving story!
Whether others believed or not was uncertain, but Senor, who knew the backstory, believed it, as the telltale symptoms of lead poisoning on Abel and Law were undeniable.
Any other executive might have simply disposed of these two runts to avoid potential trouble.
But Senor would never do that!
Hence, his decision was to bring these children to meet the young master Doflamingo and let him decide their ultimate fate.
For one, Senor had no authority to recruit members into the family core (grunts excluded), and secondly, Doflamingo himself was in a recruitment phase. He had even recently adopted over a hundred children, intending to select promising talents from among them for cultivation.
The arrival of Abel and Law at this time was a perfect coincidence.
"Prepare all the loot we've gathered. I'll take them to see Captain Doflamingo," Senor declared, lighting a cigarette, firmly believing that a real man must stand by his word.
Upon hearing that Senor was serious about this, the crew members behind him couldn't help feeling resigned, knowing well this was Senor's usual soft spot for the weak showing itself again.
They refrained from commenting, though, as their own survival to this point was due to Senor's 'soft spot.'
Otherwise, they'd have been tossed into the sea to feed the Sea Kings for their incompetence.
"Hey, you two better show respect when you meet Captain Doflamingo. If you get Senor scolded, I'll be the first to throw you overboard!" A crew member threatened.
However, Abel and Law remained unfazed.
Abel saw a different side in this situation, realizing that Senor was genuinely respected and adored by his subordinates, which undoubtedly stemmed from his charismatic persona.
Law, on the other hand, was in a devil-may-care mood!
All he was thinking was, "I'm not even afraid of death, why should I fear a threat from a lackey?"
...
In the heart of Spider Miles' waste treatment plant stood a building complex sporting a pirate flag.
The pirate flag bore a smiling face with a wide-open mouth, teeth exposed, and a diagonal line dividing the face.
This was the banner of the Donquixote family, recognizable to almost everyone in the North Blue.
With two large black suitcases in hand, Senor walked ahead, with Abel and Law following behind.
Hostile gazes surrounded them, but due to Senor's executive status, no one dared to approach and inquire.
It wasn't until he reached the second floor and stood before a particular room's door that he set one suitcase down and knocked.
"Come in."
Senor then picked up the suitcase and entered the room.
"Captain, I've returned."
"Oh, it's Senor. It seems this mission went smoothly as you're back so quickly. Huh? And who are these two runts? Could they be your illegitimate children, ehehehe~"
"Don't mind it, just a jest."
Through the sunlight streaming in from the window, a man could be seen seated right in the middle of the room.
This man boasted a head of strikingly blonde hair, standing on end like a flame. Sporting a pair of trendy sunglasses and a well-tailored black suit, he also wore an extravagantly pink feathered coat, both in color and design.
The man who had just spoken was indeed him.
His unmistakable attire, coupled with the preceding conversation, left no doubt as to his identity!
He was Doflamingo Donquixote, a Celestial Dragon by birth who single-handedly established the Donquixote family.
Furthermore, two imposing figures stood behind Doflamingo.
To the left was a scruffy uncle clad in a cloak resembling a quilt, sporting small sunglasses, a dangling snot string, and a rough mustache on his upper lip.
To the right was a man in a fur-brimmed hat, a red cloak, and light purple transparent glasses. His outfit was both 'fashionable' and akin to something a native tribesman might wear.
Judging by their appearances, they were likely two of the top executives – Trebol and Diamante.
As for the other executives, they were yet to be seen, and it was unclear who had joined the Donquixote family so far.
