Chapter 84: The Great Swordsman of the New World

The Red Count stood there, his once-pristine suit and cloak in tatters, but his eyes sparkled with renewed sharpness.

Though he had lost, he gained much from this battle. Once he digested his newfound insights, his swordsmanship would reach new heights.

He was a proud man; losing simply meant he had to acknowledge it, not that he couldn't handle defeat.

"Hahaha, Leidfield, this duel was merely a test of our swordsmanship. If we were to engage in a real battle, the outcome would still be uncertain."

"Consider us friends now; let's go grab a drink!" 

Li Yuan said cheerfully, pleased that Leidfield had admitted defeat. Although they hadn't gone all out and merely tested their sword skills, Li Yuan had still significantly improved.

"Sure!" 

Leidfield accepted the invitation without hesitation.

After their battle, Li Yuan noticed the numerous cameras pointed at them, making him feel like a spectacle for everyone to gawk at.

In an instant, Li Yuan's red-green Conqueror's Haki surged forth, seamlessly blending with his Blood Slaughter sword intent.

"Damn nobles! How dare they label such a powerful individual as a pirate?!" 

Blach exclaimed angrily as he glanced over the bounty and profile.

It clearly stated that Leidfield had been labeled a pirate for killing a baron from a small nation.

The baron was a notorious criminal, and after Leidfield encountered him, he had slain him with a single strike, leading to his classification as a pirate.

Since becoming a pirate, Leidfield had committed no further atrocities, resulting in his bounty never increasing. Blach naturally hadn't received any updates.

"Admiral, the situation is set; it cannot be changed. We should raise the bounty." 

Tsuru shook her head, noting that such unpleasantness wasn't new to them. They had faced it many times before, with the Navy forced to endure silently.

"Increase Leidfield's bounty to 550 million, and Li Yuan's to 1.93 billion. That'll be all for today!" 

Blach waved his hand, feeling helpless.

The largest tavern on Cuilin Island had been booked exclusively by Li Yuan. Aside from the serving staff, no one dared to approach.

Having changed into fresh clothes, Li Yuan and Leidfield sat down to enjoy a drink.

"Leidfield, your swordsmanship is truly impressive! How did you train? Do you know any powerful swordsmen or Great Swordsmen you can introduce me to? I'd like to spar with them when I have the time." 

Li Yuan poured himself a bottle of liquor and began chatting with Leidfield.

"After you've just beaten me, are you really going to brag about my swordsmanship?" 

Leidfield's mouth twitched; he realized this guy was just as boastful as his sword techniques.

"Hahaha, am I not speaking the truth? Although I won, it's because I'm stronger, not because you're weak." 

Li Yuan felt a sense of pride at Leidfield's remark.

"I don't know any Great Swordsmen; my swordsmanship is all self-taught." 

Leidfield shook his head, no longer wanting to argue with Li Yuan. He simply couldn't win.

"Self-taught to become a Great Swordsman? That's quite the talent!" 

"However, I do know a few formidable Great Swordsmen in the New World. I plan to challenge them later."

"Within the Rocks Pirates, there are Great Swordsmen like the Golden Lion and Wang Zhi."

"However, I advise you not to challenge the Golden Lion or Wang Zhi from the Rocks Pirates. If you attract Rocks' attention, he will definitely try to recruit you into the crew." 

Li Yuan warned him.

"Oh? So your captain, Rocks, is strong? Just how strong is he?" 

Leidfield asked, intrigued.

"I can't say for certain how strong Rocks is now, as I've never fought him. All I can say is that even the three of me wouldn't stand a chance against him right now."

"But I'm only sixteen; once I fully grow and develop my physique, even Rocks won't be able to easily defeat me."

"In ten or eight years, once I've fully matured, whether Rocks can beat me will be a question!" 

Li Yuan said confidently, believing that he would surpass Rocks once he reached his full potential.

He speculated that Rocks was likely approaching the pinnacle of the Emperor level, though he wasn't sure of the exact extent.

After all, there were levels of strength even among those at the Emperor level, just like how Admiral Green Bull had been scared off by Shanks' Conqueror's Haki, severely lowering the average power level of admirals.

"I see. If that's the case, then Rocks doesn't seem so scary. Once I grow stronger in a few years, I won't have to fear him either." 

Leidfield said confidently.
