Alabasta II

Crocodile said "Who are you?" the man on the other end was Sanji, he said "Mr. Prince" Luffy said "Mr. Prince come save us!!" Sanji said "So it looks like my crew is with you?" Crocodile said "Where are you?" Sanji said "Now, I can't tell you that can I?" a gun shot was heard and another voice cam over the line "Mr.0 we caught him what do you want us to do with him?" Crocodile said "Hold on to him, I'm coming." and hung up the snail.

Crocodile sneered at the rest and said "Have fun playing with the Bananagators" before he punched a hole in the wall, causing water to start filling the room. Crocodile laughed and left. The crew were sitting in the cell, Viper looked around and said "Can't we just break the stone wall?" before he transformed and smashed his tail against the wall and hit a steel sheet, he said "Ah, I guess not." he sat back down, and started looking at rumble balls.

Nami said "What was that about?" Viper was confused, and Nami added "That Griffon guy." Viper chuckled and said "I don't know, I just had a sudden urge to fight him. It was strange actually, the feeling I get from him is that he is natural prey... I think it's because he is a bat, and snakes are bat predators." he shrugged and Smoker said "You're a snake?" Viper hybrid transformed and said "Quetzalcoatl, actually. So if you could change my epitaph that would be great, feathered serpent isn't exactly the coolest name." Smoker grunted and said "I won't" Viper snapped "Why are you such an asshole?" Smoker said "I don't do deals with pirates." Viper sighed and said "I really hope Sanji gets here soon." he looked back at Smoker and said "Would you like to try a rumble ball?" Nami punched him and said "Stop offering those to everyone you see!"

A while later

Sanji finally showed up and kicked all the Bananagators away, before he said "Hey guys, miss me?" Nami said "You're my hero!" causing Sanji to swoon, Ussop said "One of the gators has a key in it!" Sanji started kicking the gators again, and one of them coughed out a wax ball. Mr.3 popped out of it and said "Hahaha I'm free!!" Sanji and the rest glared at him, before Sanji beat him up and said "Make a key for the cage." Mr.3 had bumps all over his face and made a key freeing everyone from the cage. Luffy, Viper, and Smoker didn't move and the crew grabbed Luffy and Viper, before Luffy said "Grab Smokey." Zoro sighed and grabbed Smoker and got out of the room, while water poured in and filled it.

Smoker woke up, coughing water and stabbed his jutte at Zoro, who jumped out of the way and said "Hey! What are you stabbing your savior for?!" Smoker said "Why did you save me?" Zoro pointed at Luffy and said "Captains orders" Smoker said "Straw hat! Why did you save me." Luffy said "You're a good guy Smokey, I wouldn't let you die." Viper mumbled "Even though you're an asshole..." Smoker ignored him and said "Go, in exchange for my life, i'll let you go this time." Luffy grinned and the crew started running, Viper threw a rumble ball at Smoker and said "Next time we meet tell me what happened!" before he followed after the crew, Smoker looked at the rumble ball and bit it, he held him stomach and ran to the bathroom.

The crew got out of Rainbase and saw a huge crab shuffling towards them, Chopper was sitting on the crab and said "Hey guys!" Luffy wrapped his arm around everyone and shot onto the crab, Vivi said "Go to Alubarna!" the crab started shuffling towards Alubarna. Vivi said "I hope we make it in time." all of a sudden a golden hook grabbed Vivi and pulled her back, Luffy stretched out his arm and threw Vivi back before following after the hook, and disappearing. Viper said "He'll be fine." seeing everyone panicked, before he snapped his head in a certain direction and hissing, Nami said "Viper?" Viper full transformed and hissed again, everyone looked in the direction he was looking and saw a huge bat, with a necklace that had three skulls on it. Viper coiled and shot towards the huge bat, while saying "I'll meet you guys in Alubarna!" before he disappeared as well.

Viper shot through the air and missed, he landed in the sand and the huge bat came down and landed in front of him, the bat was Griffon and he said "So that's why I hate you, these fruits are truly strange." Viper said "Quetzalcoatl, Viper." Grifon said "Camazotz, Griffon." Viper said "Hm, the bat god, and one of my enemies. Seems fitting." before he shot forward and bit on Griffon's neck and coiled around his body.

Griffon bit back and got his wings loose as he flew in the air, when he was high enough, he dived and hit the ground. Viper bounced off him and rolled away, he stopped and spat some blood from his mouth and said "That's some thick skin you've got there." Griffon licked his lips and said "Your's isn't." before he flew in the air and swiped at Viper with an extremely fast speed.

Viper could barely see his movements, he could only try and bite at Griffon when he came towards him, but Griffon would avoid his bites every time with his speed. Griffon blended into the darkness and disappeared. Viper looked around and frowned, before hissing in pain.

Griffon was digging his claws into Viper's back and bit down into him, before he started drinking his blood. Viper writhed and slammed his tail into Griffon, causing Griffon to stop biting him and fly into the air with Viper still in his grip.

Griffon flew over to where Crocodile was and slammed Viper into the ground. Viper groaned and bit down on the rumble ball that was already in his mouth and transformed into his sharp point. He surprised Griffon and managed to slash his tail across Griffon's chest, causing a deep gash.

Griffon sucked in a cold breath and sped at Viper with incredible speed. Viper went into defense point and rammed his head into the on coming Griffon, sending Griffon and himself flying back. Griffon said "What is that?" Viper sneered and said "Defense point, you stupid bat." he changed to sharp point and sped towards Griffon again and slashed his tail, causing Griffon to fly in the air to avoid it. Viper changed to dragon point and jumped using his legs, before transforming into sharp point mid-air and sending a wind blast behind him and shooting up at Griffon.

Just before they came into contact, Viper changed to defense point and rammed his skull into Griffon's body, sending him flying and Viper descending to the ground. Viper hit the ground and rolled away before changing back to dragon point and hissed at Griffon.

Griffon flew back and said "Doesn't matter how many forms you have, you can't reach me!" before he started flying at insane speeds and became invisible, blending into the darkness, Viper could only barely see him because of his snake eyes, but he couldn't follow his movements. Viper was looking around, coiled up, when he heard Griffon's voice.

"Stealth barrage"

Viper was getting cuts and gashes all over his body, Griffon landed on his head and flew into the air, and dropped him back to the ground. Viper was falling and Griffon flew under him before he grabbed him with his claws, flipped and threw him down at an even faster speed. Viper slammed into the ground and Griffon dive bombed him, smashing his claws into his stomach, causing Viper to spit out blood and revert to his human form, barely conscious.

Griffon reverted back as well and said "Just a little garden snake." before he kicked Viper into the pit that Luffy was in. Viper fell into the pit and fell unconscious, Griffon took out a knife and licked his lips staring at Viper's chest, when Crocodile said "Mr. 0.5 we have to go to Alubarna." Griffon clicked his tongue and sheathed his knife before mumbling "I'll come back for your heart." and walking towards Crocodile and flying away.

Luffy slowly woke up in the pit and saw Viper was next to him, covered in blood. Luffy slowly made his way to Viper and shook him "Viper! Wake up! Crocodile and that bat-guy left!" Viper coughed up more blood and slowly opened his eyes and said "Hungry.." Luffy smiled and said "Me too." before they both heard a voice "Seems like Crocodile and Griffon did quite a number on you two huh?" it was Robin, she used her powers and pulled both of them out of the pit, Viper said "Oh we meet again, Robin" Robin smiled and said "Yes, but this time I'd say you're barely alive." Viper waved her off and said "I need food and i'll heal quickly. I still need to beat the shit out of that bat bastard." Robin giggled and a man landed in front of the trio, he had hawk features and he said "You again?" Robin said "You might want to take these two before Crocodile's plan succeeds" the man was hesitant, and Viper said "You can trust her.. for now at least" Robin pouted and said "For now?" Viper chuckled and said "Well you did just save my life, but who knows later. What if I stop you from achieving your goal?" Robin said "Then i'd kill you." Viper laughed and said "Exactly, anyways I highly doubt our goals will interfere with each other." Robin smiled and got on another alligator and sped off, waving at the duo. The man watched her go and said "Let's go." before grabbing them both, Luffy said "Wait we need food!" the man said "But we need to get to Alubarna as soon as possible." Luffy said "We. Need. Food." the man sighed and said "Very well." before he flew off.

A while later

Luffy and Viper were flying through the air and saw the palace, Luffy said "Drop us." the man, who's name was Pell, nodded and let them go. Viper transformed and Luffy stood on his head and screamed "CROCODILE!!!" before they shot through the air towards the palace.

Everybody in the square saw a huge feathered serpent flying through the air towards the palace, the crew all smiled, and the people who were fighting were shocked. Luffy and Viper landed on the palace and created a dust cloud.

The dust cleared and Viper was standing tall in his full transformation, with Luffy on his head. The duo were staring at Crocodile and Griffon, Luffy said "I'm here to kick your ass." Viper hissed at Griffon and said "I don't remember surrendering." before they both shot at Crocodile and Griffon.

Griffon transformed into a giant bat and blocked Viper's teeth with his claws, Viper wrapped around him and said "Let's take this outside shall we?" before slamming his tail on the ground, creating a wind blast sending the duo shooting outside the city. Luffy had a barrel of water on his back, as he coated his fist in water and punched Crocodile in the face, sending him flying. Luffy grinned and chased after him.

Viper and Griffon separated and stared at each other, Griffon broke the silence "I thought you were dead." Viper slowly fanned his tail, causing sand to scatter as he said "Not quite" Griffon sneered and said "Doesn't matter, this time i'll make sure!" as he flew in the air and started flying faster and faster, Viper tried tracking his movements with his eyes, to no avail. Viper closed his eyes and focused on feeling the wind, he felt a bit of movement on his left and shot out his tail, surprising Griffon and hitting him in the face.

Griffon stabilized himself in the air and said "How did you do that? Luck?" Viper kept his eyes closed and didn't respond, Griffon grit his teeth and screamed "Don't ignore me!" as he disappeared again, Viper shot his tail to his right and blocked Griffon again, but the bat spun around it and slashed Viper's back and disappeared again. Viper kept blocking and sometimes hitting Griffon.

Griffon seethed and said "How about this then?" he flew into the air and opened his mouth and screeched, sending sonic soundwaves towards Viper. Viper started writhing and was distracted, Griffon disappeared again and started slashing Viper all over his body. Viper was dripping blood and collapsed, Griffon grabbed him and threw his into the air before kicking him higher and higher, he flew over him and spun before slamming both his claws against Viper's back shooting him back to the ground.

Viper hit the ground and coughed up blood, he was losing consciousness. Griffon sneered and said "You and your friends will all die here." before he flew up and opened him mouth, sending another soundwave blast towards Viper.

Viper screamed in pain on the ground, he looked up and grit his teeth before jumping up and trying to bite Griffon in the air. He missed and smashed back into the ground, Griffon laughed and said "Idiot! I can fly, what can a mere garden snake like you do? How about I go kill your crew first? I'll pick them off one by one and drive you to despair!" he cackled, licked his lips and said "Hearts always taste better that way." before he started flying away, Viper screamed "NO!" Griffon turned around and said "You're too weak!" before he started laughing, Viper hissed and let out a bestial roar and shot into the skies, and bringing down Griffon into the middle of the battlefield, creating a huge dust cloud.

Everyone stopped and turned to the dust cloud, the crew was also nearby and could see the square where the rebels and the royal army was fighting. The dust cloud cleared and revealed a large feathered snake, with huge multicolored wings wrapped around a giant bat.

The crew were surprised and Zoro said "Look at that he got his wings." the rest of the crew nodded, the citizens were shocked at the sudden appearance of the two giant beasts.

Viper was hissing at Griffon and Griffon was staring at Viper's wings "You have wings too?!" Viper sneered and said "Thanks to you they sprouted" before he sank his fangs into Griffon's neck, causing the bat to screech in pain, Viper put more and more pressure into his jaws and Griffon was struggling to break free. Viper let go and said "Wanna go for a test run?" Griffon was confused, and Viper bit into his back and waved his huge wings, creating winds before slowly lifting off the ground and flying out of the city, everyone watched them go, before they got back to fighting. The crew watched and Nami said "He can fly us around now!" the rest looked at her and Zoro said "One day, he's just gonna eat you." Nami stuck out her tongue and giggled.

Viper flew out of the city and dropped Griffon out of his mouth, before slamming his tail against his back, sending him careening to the ground. Griffon collided with the ground and spat out some blood. Viper was hovering in the air and flapping his wings before he bit down on a rumble ball, changing into his sharp point, his wings turned smaller and more aerodynamic, his feathers were pointed and sharp. Viper shot forward and flapped his wings, making him speed up as he flew like a missile towards Griffon, he bit down on his tail and spun, while tucking in his wings, making his body look like a spiked wheel.

"Serpent Chakram"

Viper slammed into Griffon's chest, causing a deep gash over the last one creating an 'X' mark, Viper used his tail and cut through Griffon's bat wings, making them incapable of flight and turned into his dragon point and grabbing onto the bat and slamming him into the ground, before flying up and dragging Griffon along. Viper went high up into the air and said "Let's see how you like it" he let go of Griffon and slammed his tail into him, sending him down as he chased after him and hit him in the back and punching him in the stomach. Griffon shot down and slammed into the ground so hard he bounced, he slowly reverted back to his human form and was unconscious.

Viper landed on the ground and grabbed Griffon before flying back into the square, he found Smoker and landed in front of him. Smoker looked up at Viper and said "I thought you were a snake." Viper said "I have more than 3 forms, this is only one of them. The only one that has arms." before he tossed Griffon's body on the ground in front of Smoker and reverted back to his normal full transformation, except with wings now.

Smoker looked at Griffon and said "Who is this?" Viper shook his head and said "He said his name was Griffon, and Crocodile called him Mr. 0.5, he was the giant bat." Smoker called a marine over and cuffed Griffon with seastone cuffs and said "Thanks." Viper hissed and chuckled "Wow, thanking a pirate, doesn't seem very MARINE of you Smoker." Smoker got a tick mark on his forehead and poked his jutte towards Viper, causing him to dodge it as Smoker said "Just shut up and take it brat." Viper laughed and flew off leaving a "Change my bounty name!!" resounding in the skies, Smoker was angry and kicked Griffon towards the other marines and said "Lock him up!" before mumbling "Damn snake bastard..."

Viper landed in front of the crew and said "Hey guys" before he reverted to his human form and collapsed unconscious. The crew chuckled and all collapsed, as they saw Crocodile falling from the sky and landing on the ground in the middle of the battle field, it started raining and the crew all passed out.

A few days later

Viper slowly woke up in a bed, he sat up and looked around but only saw Luffy. He got out of bed and walked over to Luffy and shook him. Viper said "Luffy! We don't have anymore meat!" Luffy shot up and said "WHAT?!" Viper said "I'm starving, let's go find something to eat." Luffy nodded and the two snuck away.

Viper and Luffy were in the kitchen eating everything in sight, Viper said "Oh I got my wings." Luffy put a whole steak in his mouth and said "Really?! Can you fly?!" Viper grinned and nodded, before grabbing Luffy and running out. The duo were running and ran into the crew, everyone was quiet before Chopper yelled "WHAT ARE YOU TWO DOING OUT OF BED?!" Viper was about to say something, when a bunch of chefs ran into the two groups. One of the chefs pointed at Viper and Luffy and said "You two! You were the ones who ate all the food!" the crew turned to the duo and Viper dragged Luffy and jumped out a window, full transformed and flew away laughing.

The chefs turned to the rest of the crew and said "Are you with them?" the crew all shook their heads and one of the chefs said "They are! I saw them all in the medical ward together!" the chefs grabbed the crew and dragged them to the kitchen, while the crew all groaned.

A while later

Luffy and Viper were sitting in the beds chuckling, as the rest of the crew were in chefs costumes, Viper said "So, what's for lunch?" Ussop said "First it's a soup with-" Nami punched him in the head and snapped "WHAT ARE YOU TELLING THEM FOR?!" Viper and Luffy laughed, and the door opened. A woman walked in and Luffy said "It's that guy from Whiskey peak!" Vivi followed behind the woman and said "It's not, this is Terracotta, Igaram's wife." Viper said "Wow, you look exactly the same!" Terracotta said "Yes, also I have prepared a banquet, even though you already ate almost all the food in the kitchen, we had more in stock." Luffy said "Great! I'm still hungry!" Viper's stomach growled and he said "I grew wings and my appetite grew as well." Terracotta smiled and said "I'm sure there's enough." Luffy cheered and Viper found out he'd been sleeping for 3 days, he sighed and said "Any news on why we didn't wake up in a cell on a marine boat?" the crew shook their heads and Vivi said "The marines were stopped from arresting you, by another marine with glasses and a sword." Zoro said "The girl from loguetown?" Viper said "Oh? A girlfriend?" Zoro snapped "NO!" Viper just chuckled and said "Right.." Zoro grit his teeth and the crew all went to eat.

The crew enjoyed their meal and tried to stop Luffy from taking their food, unsuccessfully. The crew then were invited by the king to take a bath in the royal bathhouse. The crew all nodded and left.

Viper walked into the bath house, with a towel in his hand and took off his bandages. Zoro said "That looks bad." Viper looked down and on his abs were three long scratches, going from under his left chest to right over his navel in the middle of his torso, diagonally. Viper chuckled and said "That's what happens when you fight a giant bat." before he stepped into the bath and sat down. Sanji suddenly said "Oi king-guy, where are the women's baths?" Igaram, who had joined them said "The princess is over there!" Cobra, the king, said "Right over that wall." as he pointed to a huge wall. Igaram snapped "Vivi is over there!" and all the guys, minus Viper and Zoro climbed up the wall to take a peek.

Viper said "How much do you think she charges them?" Zoro rubbed his chin and said "At least 100 thousand each." Viper nodded and said "That sounds about right" sure enough the duo heard Nami's voice "It's 100 thousand for each of you, Happiness punch!" all the guys except Luffy fell down with nose bleeds and Luffy was confused before jumping down. Viper turned to Zoro and said "Hey Zoro, wanna help me throw the cook over?" Zoro grinned and the duo grabbed Sanji and threw him over the wall and heard a huge splash, a loud scream, and a slapping sound. The duo laughed and returned to the bath, while listening to the rhythmic slaps, and Nami saying "You damn pervert!" Sanji said "It wasn't me! It was mosshead and the Rainbow bastard!" Nami seethed and said "VIPER! ZORO!" the duo shivered.

Later. the group was sitting in front of a snail and listening to Bon clay say that he took their ship because the marines were going to capture it and that he's at the port near Alubarna. Sanji, Viper, and Zoro all had bumps and bruises all over their faces as they listened to Bon clay, Viper said "We should probably go then, before marines surround the entire port." the rest nodded and got up, packed their things and headed for the port.

Viper and the rest were standing on the Merry and watched Bon clay sacrifice himself so that they could escape, Viper sighed and said "I could've just flew over..." Luffy, Ussop, and Chopper all had tears in their eyes as they waved at Bon clay saying that they'll always be friends. Viper hybrid transformed and flew into the air with his wings and blew a cannon ball back towards the marines, causing their ships to collapse. Vivi made a speech about how the crew and her will always be friends and that she couldn't come with them and the crew just silently raised their fists, with the 'X's on them. The Merry then sailed through a gap in the blockade and got away.

A few minutes later

The Merry was completely free, and the group celebrated and they heard a voice "That was excellent." everyone turned around and Viper said "So you were hiding here, no wonder." Robin smiled and said "You were looking for me?" Viper nodded and said "Yes. It would be a shame for you to die." and he sat down in a chair, as the rest of the group took precautions against Robin. Nami said "Why are YOU here?" Robin said "You'll have to blame your captain for that, after what he did to me.." the crew were shocked and Luffy said "What?" Robin chuckled and said "You saved my life in the tomb when I wanted to die. I don't have anywhere else to go." the crew now understood and Viper just laughed.

Ussop was sitting in a dark room at a table with a lamp facing Robin and said "Name?" Robin smiled and said "Nico Robin." Ussop nodded and said "Occupation?" Robin said "Archaeologist." Ussop nodded and said "Talents?" Robin said "Killing." Ussop snapped "Luffy i've concluded that she is way too dangerous!" Viper laughed and sat where Ussop was and said "If you'll excuse my partner. I'll be taking over." Robin said "Is that following the code, aren't I entitled to an attorney?" Viper rubbed his chin and said "You're right, Bring her in." Nami walked in with sunglasses and a briefcase and shook Robin's hand and said "Hello miss, i'm your lawyer Nami. My rate is 10 million an hour, happy to be working with you." Robin said "Lawyers really are vampires." Viper chuckled and said "Let's get back on topic, before working for Crocodile you were?" Robin said "Working as intelligence gatherer in an organization in the North blue." Viper nodded and pulled out a cigarette and lit it, he exhaled the smoke and said "Home Island?" Robin said "I'd rather not answer that." Viper nodded and said "Goals?" Robin said "To find the Rio Poneglyph." Viper said "The void century?" Robin nodded and Viper said "Is that your dream?" Robin nodded and Viper ashed out his cigarette and said with a smile "Then you'll fit right in!" and walked away, leaving Robin there with a smile, Nami coughed and said "My fees." as she stretched out her hand, Robin sighed and handed her a bag of jewels and said "I got these from Crocodile's safe, they were for you anyway." Nami hugged her and said "Thanks sis!" as she grabbed the bag and started counting with beri signs in her eyes.

Robin got all the crew's trust except Zoro, pretty easily. Zoro walked over to Viper and sat down with two mugs of beer and said "You really trust her?" Viper said "To be completely honest with you in a sense yes, but also no." Zoro drank from his cup and said "What do you mean?" Viper drank and said "I know she won't put us in any harm and will help the crew, but I think if we are really in trouble she will save herself. She also just got onto the crew so I wouldn't expect her to immediately sacrifice herself for anyone yet. You can tell she keeps her distance, she only called us by our roles, you're swordsman, i'm scientist, Nami's navigator, etc. In short she doesn't trust easily and I wouldn't expect complete trust in the near future, but who knows." Zoro nodded and said "You're right, so what do we do?" Viper said "Treat her as a normal crew member, but just pay a little attention to her, I doubt she will become a problem. I think it's quite nice to have another smart person around." Zoro chuckled and the duo silently drank as an ear turned into petals and disappeared from Viper's chair.

Robin was 'reading' a book and smiled to herself "You're almost too smart for your own good.." a small paper flew by and landed on her book, she opened it and it said 'Enjoy the conversation?' Robin corrected herself "Definitely too smart for your own good.." as the Merry slowly made it's way to the crew's next adventure.
