Chapter - 5 Saori The Battle Maid

West Sea Navy Branch.

The colonel of the branch grew furious upon hearing the report from his subordinates.

A formidable individual emerged, casting all town residents into a deep coma.This kind of power was akin to what a friend from the Navy headquarters, also a colonel, once described—Conqueror's Haki.

People bearing Conqueror's Haki and its intimidating aura were powerful figures in this sea.

Those who had this kind of haki were born king's, and hence weilded the power of them, they increased in power quickly, people get attracted to them and start following them, and with this they became a nucanse for the world government.

Now, such an individual had surfaced in the West Sea territory.The branch colonel lacked confidence to confront such a character, despite the Navy's commitment to justice.

But that didn't mean they didn't value their lives.Their only option was to report to the Navy headquarters, allowing higher-ups to make a decision.

Unfortunately, they don't know the appearance of the other party, relying solely on the town residents' information, which wasn't entirely accurate.

However, one thing was certain—the other party had taken the gangster godfather Capone Beeg.The branch colonel was familiar with Capone Beeg—a ruthless figure and equally powerfull or more than himself.

Hence, tracking down the other party became a priority.It would be easier when the pirate group acquired Capon Beeg.

Then, they could determine who possessed Conqueror's Haki.Allowing someone with Conqueror's Haki to thrive in the Grand Line was a menace.

It was imperative to notify the Navy Headquarters—people with Conqueror's Haki must not be allowed to flourish.

As the second day dawned,

the ship sailed into the depths of the west sea. The morning was pleasant, but the sun's intense heat, even at ten in the morning, could easily cause heatstroke.

Suddenly, a piercing alarm echoed from the lookout atop the mainmast. The urgent sound indicated trouble—potentially a pirate encounter."Is that a pirate?!" Capone beeg's concern was evident in his hurried inquiry.

The alarm set off a frenzy among the crew, resembling the sizzle of oil in a hot frying pan.

Some rushed for weapons,

others readied the cannons,

while a few scanned the surroundings from the deck or the roof.

The ship stretched around 150 meters in length, boasting two floors above the deck and two below, with over 300 crew members.

The recent surge in pirate activity, ignited by the legendary Pirate King Gol D. Roger, necessitated such preparations.Each crew member was armed, and the ship was equipped with an array of muskets and cannons, fully prepared to fend off numerous pirate groups.

Three pirate ships, bearing the skull flag, raced menacingly toward them, merely four sea miles away."Quick, grab that ship!" The towering figure at the forefront of the largest pirate vessel bellowed, brandishing a massive two-meter-long mace.

"Yes, Captain Buri!" A group of pirates, resembling the hounds and goblins of field, responded with zealous fervor, wielding their knives and guns.

Capon Beeg swiftly sought details from the crew nearby, "Did you catch a clear sight of their flag? Which pirate crew is making their way toward us?"

"They're hoisting a skull flag, two maces crossed, it's the Buri Pirates," one crew member responded."

Their leader's 'Head Knocking Buri,' with a bounty of 29 million Baileys."

A crew member scanning through binoculars felt a sudden chill. Encountering one of the most fearsome pirate crews in the West Sea was unexpected.

Capon Beeg turned to Captain Luca, asking, "Captain, shall we get ready for shelling? When two pirate crews collide, it's usually a naval bombardment."

Meanwhile, Lafitte was preparing himself for a possible confrontation.But just then, Luca intervened, saying, "Leave it to Saori!"Upon receiving Luca's order, Saori immediately sprang into action,

employing the Rokushiki - the navy six-style moon steps - to dash towards the approaching pirate crew.

Lafitte, surprised, adjusted his hat, commenting, "I never anticipated Ms. Saori using the Rokushiki."

"This is a technique only reserved for those in the Navy headquarters who are a vice admiral, those who have contributed heavily to the Navy and of course those who groomed to become the future power house of the Navy !" Explained Luca.

Capon Beeg, equally astounded, added, "Absolutely! Ms. Saori's prowess appears to surpass all expectations."

It was evident to both of them that Saori was the most remarkable woman they had ever witnessed.

"Did that maid just... fly?" Captain Buri's disbelief echoed across the ship as Saori maneuvered through the air.

"Steady yourselves!" Saori's command pierced through the tension. With a swift motion, she aimed her right foot and unleashed a surge of energy.

Swish!

A blue-white arc of power sliced through the sea, cleaving the main mast of a pirate ship on their flank."What in blazes is that?"

"The main mast... it's gone!"

"Hurry, raise the secondary masts!"

"Move! We're an easy target!"

Chaos erupted on the opposing pirate ship as it veered across the water, struggling to stabilize."What sort of power is this? She severed their mast from over a hundred meters away!"

"Unbelievable! Is that a Devil Fruit ability?"Fear gripped the Buri Pirates. The sight of this woman, soaring and slashing from a distance, was utterly unnerving. They'd never encountered such a formidable adversary.

Captain Buri's face darkened. This was not and ordinary opponent.He couldn't fathom that the adversary, merely a woman, wielded such incredible prowess. Defeat was not an option. It was already set in stone for him
