"Sir, our casino owner would like to invite you to the VIP room for a private game. Would that be alright?" The charming Baccarat softly placed her hand on Lynch's shoulder.
"Baccarat?"
Lynch recognized her immediately. On the golden ship, not all the beauties were remarkable, but she stood out the moment he saw her.
That figure, tsk tsk...
"The guest knows me?" Baccarat asked, a bit surprised.
"Of course, who wouldn't recognize such a stunning beauty?"
Lynch took her hand and gently kissed her wrist. "Let's go, we shouldn't keep your boss waiting."
"Hehe, follow me," Baccarat said, leading Lynch, Qing'er the Bunny Girl and Fisher Tiger into the elevator.
Inside, there was a strange man with a head as large as his body.
"This is Mr. Tanaka, a devil fruit user who can pass through walls. We need him to enter the VIP casino." Lynch nodded without saying more.
When the elevator reached the end, they were met with a sealed golden wall.
"Guest, please grab my hand," Tanaka said as he led the group, passing through the golden wall as if the laws of physics didn't apply.
Such is the magic of a Devil Fruit.
"Oh? A new guest again. I wonder who this person is," murmured someone inside the VIP casino.
The people in the room, all wealthy or noble, turned their attention to the newcomers as Tanaka led them in.
"Sir, our boss is waiting for you inside," Baccarat said, opening the door.
The room was quiet, a stark contrast to the lively casino outside.
The Golden Emperor, Tezzolo, sat alone in a chair, his gaze fixed on the only ring finger on his left hand that was missing a gold ring. He looked gloomy.
When Baccarat brought the group in, Tezzolo's expression changed back to his usual smile. He clapped his hands and laughed,
"Hahaha, welcome! I've heard you're the best gambler in the world. Do you want to bet with me?"
"What kind of bet?"
Lynch asked, as he, Tiger, and Miss Bunny Girl took their seats across from the Golden Emperor.
"I don't like small bets. It's like taking a weak shower—satisfying only when it's strong."
"How about this: we play best two out of three. You choose the games. If you win, I'll give you 100 billion. If you lose, I won't ask for 100 billion. I just want all the money you've won since entering the casino."
"Sure, no problem," Lynch agreed.
Lynch casually lifted his hood, followed by Tiger, revealing their true faces.
Lynch, of course, was in disguise.
"Fisher Tiger! And you... are Fist Sword Nighthawk?"
Tezzolo's signature smile vanished, his mind drifting back to that fateful night years ago.
If it weren't for Tiger and Nighthawk, he might still be a slave to the Celestial Dragons.
"You two, I've changed my mind. You can take the 32 billion Beli you won and leave. Just don't come back here again."
Tezzolo decided not only to let them go but also to give them an additional 3 million Beli as a token of gratitude for their past kindness.
This was Tezzolo's only remaining sense of conscience. Otherwise, he wouldn't have believed that they could beat him in gambling or in a fight.
"No, let's make it interesting with two bets. Come and try your luck with the dice."
Lynch narrowed his eyes. Given Tezzolo's intelligence, he must have realized they were here to discuss something, yet he chose to offer 30 billion Beli as a gesture of goodwill.
It seems playing the favor card isn't very effective.
It's somewhat useful, but not much.
"Alright, if you're insisting on giving me money," Tezzolo said.
At his signal, Baccarat returned with two dice cups.
"Why couldn't you have come three years earlier?"
Before the bet began, Tezzolo touched the ring finger of his left hand, bowed his head, and muttered something unclear.
Lynch was likely the only one who understood.
Tezzolo was probably thinking about his girlfriend, who might still be alive if they had arrived a few years earlier.
"Everyone rolls the dice and places their bets. Is that alright?"
"Yes, let's start with small bets in the first round."
Each of them placed three dice into their respective cups and began shaking them.
At this time, Baccarat quietly took off her white gloves and approached Lynch from behind.
As a Devil Fruit user with the power to control luck, anyone she touches will lose, no matter their gambling skills.
This is why Tezzolo has remained unbeatable for so many years.
"Uh-huh!"
Just as Baccarat's hand was about to touch Lynch's shoulder, he suddenly grabbed her wrist and said, "Miss Baccarat, please don't touch me yet."
"Baccarat, step aside. The gambling between Nighthawk and me doesn't need those tricks," Tezzolo said.
"I understand," Baccarat replied, retracting her hand and sitting down to the side, rubbing her sore wrists.
"What a rough man."
After shaking the dice, Tezzolo slowly lifted the cup.
The three dice inside were stacked on top of each other, showing a total of one point.
"Your turn," Tezzolo said confidently.
Even without cheating, he was sure he could beat anyone at gambling.
Lynch lifted his cup and found the dice inside shattered into pieces.
Baccarat stared, her mouth slightly open, and asked, "Is this supposed to happen?"
"Of course, you win the first round."
If it were anyone else who played like this, Tezzolo would have thrown them into the sea.
But since it's Nighthawk playing, he let it slide.
No matter how he plays, he always wins in the end.
"For the second game, let's compete. I'll go first."
Tezzolo shook the cup quickly. When he opened it, the dice showed a total of sixty-three points, with each side accurately displayed.
With a total of sixty-three points on the three dice, no one could surpass Tezzolo in this game.
"Haha, I'm sorry."
When Lynch opened his cup, over twenty small dice spilled out densely.
Although he's not skilled at gambling, he can use electromagnetic force to control the dice.
Lynch melted all the dice, then used his incredible control to reshape them into small dice, quickly solidifying them with cold air.
Tanaka rubbed his eyes.
Good guys, while others are playing gambling, you two are playing magic!
"Give them 100 billion Beli and let them go,"
Tezzolo said, standing up to leave.
He hadn't lost in years. Although the win was due to cheating, he knew that gambling often involved tricks and deception.
One hundred billion Beli is a lot, but it's not too much for Tezzolo.
After all, it's just the equivalent of the heads of twenty Pirate Kings.
"Tezzolo, out of all ten fingers, only the ring finger on your left hand is without a ring. I guess you haven't forgotten her, right?"
"What do you know!?"
Tezzolo turn around sharply and glared at Lynch.
