The Cause Of All Turmoil

The wolf king loomed over the running villagers. His mere presence instilled tremendous fear in them. While the werewolves started slaughtering the villagers that were nearby without being able to extend more casualties, they stopped after getting pressured by the mere aura of an overwhelming being.

Ganz took his time walking towards the flinching werewolves. His gaze was so cold that it fazed the werewolves' notorious composure. It was as if their situation changed, and the prey were the werewolves.

The wolf king observed from afar, getting weird tingling feelings after seeing such a monstrous being in front of them.

"An Evolved Gilgamesh!?" The wolf king uttered.

"Hey you guys, why are you causing a ruckus in this village?" Gabimaru asked, appearing behind the wolf king.

What!?" The wolf king mumbled in his head and was completely shocked.

The wolf king himself could not comprehend how a human suddenly appeared behind him without being detected by his keen sense of smell.

"I. asked. you. a. question." Gabimaru stated, in a demanding manner with a horrifying grin stuck on his face.

[Notice: The wolf king is internally screaming.]

What do you mean?" Gabimaru asked and glanced at the wolf king, who sweated bullets all over his sharp fur.

So does that mean that this wolf king can speak and understand me?"

[Answer: Yes.]

I see."

The wolf king trembled, losing all of his fighting will in front of an overwhelming being. I can't win. My instincts tell me not to disobey this human or else I'll fall from the sky." He pondered, scared about the possible outcome.

"Hey Wolf King." Gabimaru uttered and flicked his finger. The wolf king was clueless as to why Gabimaru suddenly paused.

Just before the wolf king could ask, all of the werewolves he had sent suddenly fell from the sky and got squashed into pieces near their position.

[Notice: All werewolves have been eliminated.]

"O-Ou-Outrageous!" The wolf king uttered in shock. His eyes blurted out as if he had seen a ghost.

"You really can talk. Keke! As expected of a superior monster!" Gabimaru spoke while smirking mischievously while he abruptly tapped the Wolf King's back as if they were close friends.

"Ha...Ha...Ha..." The wolf king muttered, trembling in fear and profusely sweating, unable to see eye to eye with Gabimaru.

"Tell me exactly, why are you guys disturbing this village? You know that this village is under my protection, right?" Gabimaru said, smiling maliciously as he leant forward in front of the wolf king.

How would we know about that!? We don't even know who you are!" The wolf king grumbled in his head while trying to soothe Gabimaru with his words, "I do not know. Please forgive me. It was a mistake that we fled on the northern side of the forest." The wolf king said and groveled in front of Gabimaru.

"Fled? Why did you flee?" Gabimaru asked, curious as to why they fled and headed north.

The wolf king gasped and let out a long sigh. He then raised his head and gently explained everything. "It was due to yesterday's abrupt incident. We lived further to the east on the eastern side of the forest, and we were peacefully living and hunting beyond the eastern part of the forest. But unexpectedly, a large explosion occurred near our home. It was so powerful that it even incinerated the neighboring monsters. It was as if divine punishment occurred and made us survive through sheer luck. That's how we decided to leave that place and head north, hoping to escape the forest."

"I see..." Gabimaru mumbled, completely guilty about the incident that the wolf king had told him.

Anyway, I've never met a wolf king before. Was their race perhaps not on the worlds I've been watching?" Gabimaru asked through thought communication.

[Answer: Werewolves were born on the worlds that the Five Demi-Gods were assigned.]

[The worlds you have been observing were only filled with catastrophe-level beings; weak monsters such as them do not have a chance of surviving in the worlds you've been assigned.]

You sure are harsh..."

[Notice: I am just stating facts. The truth might be cruel, but it's better than soothing lies.]

Yeah yeah."

The wolf king glanced at Gabimaru, who was somehow immersed in his conversation with the system. Then Ganz appeared all of a sudden from behind and smacked the wolf king's head to the ground.

"You weak creature, how dare you attack the village!" Ganz uttered angrily, boiling with rage, and continuously smashed the wolf king's head to the ground.

Gabimaru saw and stopped Ganz, saying, "Ganz stop it."

"Why boss? This is the ringleader of the werewolves that suddenly attacked the village." Ganz responded, stating that the wolf king should be punished.

"Yeah, I know, but somehow it's my fault to begin with." Gabimaru said, shaking his head.

Ganz and the wolf king were a bit clueless, seeing Gabimaru's expression. Ganz then let the wolf king go while it sat in front of Gabimaru in an obedient manner.

Ganz took notice of it and also sat diligently while furiously glaring at the trembling wolf king.

Gabimaru then explained the incident yesterday, saying that it was his fault to begin with that made the wolf king and his werewolf fellows head north. The wolf king shivered in fear upon knowing that Gabimaru was the cause of that disastrous occurrence, while Ganz laughed bluntly, proud of Gabimaru's overwhelming feat.

"So were there too many casualties on the villagers' side?" Gabimaru asked with his hands placed on his waist.

Ganz shook his head and said, "Not really. There were only five dead."

"I see. Then let's head back. And you, *pointing at the wolf king* come with us." Gabimaru said and steadily walked in the village's direction.

The wolf king wanted to run, but he knew that he couldn't outrun someone who could use spatial magic nonchalantly after witnessing his fellow werewolves fall from the sky.

Especially someone who could obliterate a part of the forest as he wished.

Just as they passed over the bushes, people were mourning, crying in front of the victims that died from the werewolves' fangs.

"U-um... I think I should head back to the Forest... Sir..?" The wolf king said after seeing the villager's situation.

Looking at their situation, I'd surely get killed here if I stayed." The wolf king mumbled in his head, averting his eyes from the villagers.

"Everyone! The werewolves have been eliminated." Ganz stated, declaring their victory.

But the people who lost a family member stared at Ganz with distressful expressions.

Klaus showed up along with several men dressed in wooden plate armor who were holding rusty swords in their hands.

Klaus paused after seeing that there were no werewolves to be seen, "Huh? Where did they all go?" He asked, confused as to why there were no corpses of werewolves or breathing ones to be seen.

"Eh!? Why is there a huge black werewolf behind you, great one!?" Klaus asked Gabimaru, shocked to see the Wolf King's terrifying appearance.

"Great one? Just call me Gabimaru. And this guy *pointing at the wolf king* is the wolf king." Gabimaru responded.

The wolf king!?" As the people thought about its appearance and name, they suddenly got angry while frowning sharply at the wolf king.

"He's the leader of the werewolves that attacked our village, right!?" A random guy yelled in an angry tone.

"Yes, he is the leader! Just look at its appearance! It's obvious that he's associated with the werewolves!" Another random guy yelled.

The people began staring at the wolf king angrily, but due to Gabimaru's presence, the wolf king stood quietly and did not utter a single word.

Just as they were about to start grumbling, a man hurriedly ran and appeared in front of them.

"Village chief! The-They are here!" The man said.

Gabimaru and Ganz stood stiffly and were utterly clueless as to what they were talking about while the system suddenly reported.

[Notice: Three individuals are coming in the northern direction.]

Eh? Are they monsters again? But why only three?" Gabimaru replied through thought communication.

[Answer: No, they are humans.]

[Most likely related to the Villagers.]

Klaus and the other guys wore drought expressions after hearing about the approaching three individuals that were reported by the man that suddenly appeared.

"I see. Let us first meet them. Women, Hide in the underground chamber. And Sir Gabimaru, please stay with them if possible." Klaus said sincerely, as if something bad was going to happen if Gabimaru rejected him.

"Eh? Why Should I?" Gabimaru responded in an agitated manner.

Then he noticed the women's expressions were horrified about something, while Amina and Reyna appeared and started gathering the women after hearing the news.

"Let's go. Hurry." Reyna stated, worried about the women.

Klaus looked pitifully worried while watching the women leave.

Gabimaru wondered what was happening and just nodded, "Fine. Yeah, I'll go accompany them." He said while Ganz and the Wolf King glanced at him.

Klaus sighed out of relief and responded, "Thank you."

"I guess I'll be coming too?" The wolf king asked, pointing at himself.

"Yes, don't ever get out of sight, or I'll send you off to the sky and let you fall to your death." Gabimaru said in a serious demeanor.

Ganz smirked and felt smug about Gabimaru's words.

While the wolf king shrieked and nodded, they all dispersed, while Gabimaru and the others followed the women. Klaus and the men were heading to the northern side of the village to meet the three individuals.
