Load 19: Burst

As soon as the sun rose, envoys of the Holy kingdom, Magic kingdom, Everblack, and Aelius said that they have to go back as urgent matters came up.

- They must have been informed by their Gods and Goddess that they worship when the Goddess of Land noticed that her people are going back at full speed, master.

"Yeah. There is no way that the Goddess of Land will keep her mouth shut after learning about the future crisis from her subjects"

With this, those old geezers and bitches up must be figuring out how I know about the future.

A God or Goddess' power have a direct relation with their respective names and their subjects.

Just like how the God of Life has power over the concept of life itself and how the God of Darkness has dominion over darkness itself, I too have the same skills as the Goddess of Gluttony, which is the default title of the progenitor of the slimes.

What's more is that as the Goddess of Land, it would be a direct insult to her if a disaster related to land happens and cause destruction upon her subjects.

Although little, their faith will waver.

After a few days, the envoy of the Western Beast Federation arrived at the royal palace after travelling with great haste.

"I have come back from Lagnos after accomplishing my duties, your highness"

Princess Lucy said as she faces the king and queen.

"I understand that you are tired but tell me everything you know regarding the letter you sent"

As princess Lucy explained everything the Goddess of Bitches said to her, servants were carrying the rest of the envoy who passed out after travelling without eating or taking a break.

The king and queen alongside the families of high statuses, had a grim expression after the princess said everything she knows.

The biggest dam in their country is located near a commercial city where all kinds of products go.

Everyone had the exact same thought.

'If the dam were to burst as the Goddess of Bitches said, the entire economy in the country will be frozen for at least a year or two'

Since they did not get any oracle from the Goddess they worship nor do they have any bad blood with Lagnos, the thought of two possible reasons why the dam would burst.

Either it is a natural disaster or it will be caused by someone who wants them to meet their downfall.

As they all exchanged words and opinions, they could not arrive at an answer as to how it will happen.

"Count Khan"

"Yes, your highness"

"Since your territory is near there the dam, I will leave you to manage the evacuation of the people along with the other nobles who are near there to ensure their safety"

The weretiger knelt down and answered,

"As you command, your highness!"

"General Olivia"

"Yes, your highness"

"Prepare your elite soldiers and be stationed near the dam. If it is terrorism, I will leave it to you how punish those fools who dare to bare their fangs to us while enforcing the walls in case if it will be caused by a natural disaster along with specialists. Also, hire magicians who can take redirect large amounts of water"

The general knelt down and answered,

"As you wish, your highness!"

The federation's monarch then sent letters to his three vassals to prepare for any danger, the Bear clan who rules the eastern part of the Federation, the Eagle clan who rules the north western part of the Federation, and the Crocodile clan who rules the southern part of the Federation.

The entire country was then under a state of emergency to ensure that they will not suffer any loss for they believe the words of a Goddess.

A few days passed by and all the citizens in the commercial city.

While important goods were transported somewhere safe in secret.

The lively city became deserted in a few days time.

"Professor, are there any abnormalities with the dam?" General Olivia asked.

"No, none at all. There are no signs of leaks or cracks. There is also nothing upstream that could possibly damage the dam. And as you can see, there are no clouds to create a storm that could destroy the dam"

"I understand"

General Olivia turned around and laid her eyes upon the dead city as she could not believe that the city would be destroyed by the dam.

"O Goddess of Land, please grace us with your mercy"

As the security in the dam was tightened by having the second general of the royal army, General Olivia with her elite soldiers, a wave of death gave all of them chills and momentarily paralyzed them in place.

Just like how animals can tell when there is a natural disaster, the were beasts instinctively felt the sudden surge of ominous energy.

"ALL OF YOU, GET READY!!!"

The general yelled with all her might.

The ground shook violently.

It was an earthquake

Crack, crack.

The thick, already enforced, dam started to show signs of cracks as the earthquake got stronger.

Ignoring her thoughts how can a dam that stood against all kinds of natural disasters only to break apart, General Olivia went into action.

"Plan B, now!"

Some evacuated the researchers in the dam while the rest tried to reinforce the dam with sheer strength.

"Magicians, ready yourselves!"

The group of magicians hired by the General manipulated the water to slow down its course.

The tremors eventually destroyed the dam, making an open path for the water to go.

Tons of water surge through each second.

"AAAAAAAAAA-"

Soldiers who almost got swept by the torrent were rescued by the right hand man of the general.

"Plan E!!!"

The general along with her elite soldiers run toward the final point while the water that bursted through the dam were momentarily stopped by the walls that they made with brute force in preparation for a natural disaster.

However, due to the tremors, some of the walls were useless as they were already destroyed before the water manage to get ot it.

"Now!!!"

The General signaled.

An enormous iron wall fell down to the pathway after they pushed it.

Bam!!!

The water collided with the wall.

The soldiers above took the very thick rope, enhanced with mana, and pull with all their might while those at the bottom pushed the iron wall with the general.

"Endure it!"

As they have already thought of the possibility of a natural disaster, the general and the specialists decided to create another pathway for the water at the side so that when they have to use the iron wall the water will have another path to go to.

"AAAAAHHH!!!"

The soldiers held their position as the water flowed to another path as three soldiers protected those who were pushing the iron wall by redirecting the falling rocks and boulders due to the earthquake.

Meanwhile the magicians used every bit of mana left within their body to quickly redirect the water to the other path.

A few minutes passed and,

"WOOOOOOOOOAAAHH!!!"

With their beastly strength and perseverance, the general and her soldiers emerge victorious as the water and the earthquake stop.

The soldiers, whose hands were bleeding with numb arms, were happy and celebrating that they managed to stop the water from a bursting dam, an unimaginable feat unless you are at the level of the peak of a grand magician who specialize in water magic.

"Stop celebrating!"

The general yelled.

"The aftershocks of the earthquake might destroy the earth beneath the iron wall so be on alert! Do so and I will treat everyone tonight!"

The motivated soldiers shifted their focused onto the scene in case of an aftershock while the medic team treated those with severe injuries.
