Undeniable

It all started when Ava woke up early in the morning and readied herself for the day to come.

Amidst her morning routine, Taz awoke and bid her good morning before getting his clothes on and meeting the rest of the guys at the diner as they had planned beforehand.

"I'll go ahead and wake Null after I'm done getting ready, so wait for us before ordering."

"Got it! Just don't take forever like always," Taz murmured before scampering out the door.

'I swear I'm gonna kill him one of these days.' Ava grunted as she finished doing her hair.

Once she finished, she headed down the hall and talked to herself.

"I'm pretty sure it was this room, right?"

She knocked at the door and awaited a response. It wasn't long before she heard clamoring behind the door.

What should have been the small baby wrapped in a many-colored blanket turned out to be a blood-chilling teras.

In her fright, Ava cried out, "Oh my goodness! Is that you Null?"

His body was now that of a child standing at a few notches above four feet tall.

'Could this be some form of puberty maybe?' Ava did not know what to say about Null's sudden growth spurt.

But that wasn't the only significant thing about his new transformation.

He had a silky mane of milky white hair that flowed like the fluffy coat of a white Persian cat, and his skin was pitch black and eyes were pupilless.

He fell back to his room and touched the sheets while a creepy smile settled on his face.

It was a horrific sight for Ava, who felt suppressed by the wretched child that suddenly turned to her and began reaching his hand towards the spot above her navel.

'What is he thinking of doing with that look on his face?'

A suffocating suction sucked her into his hand as it pointed directly perpendicular to her torso.

Ava braced herself as best she could before a gut-wrenching pain was transmitted through her nerves; the pitch-black hand slowly pierced her skin like a sharp knife to a primal cut of meat.

"AHHHHHHH!! BROTTHHEEERRR!!!!!" She was experiencing a pain that originated from the of her soul.

She could feel the very essence of her being vacuumed into a boundless vortex that was inside of Null.

And like that, her lifeless body slid off of the bloody fingered monster that kept its evil smile widened as it huffed in exitement.

From the door opening till this moment, only but a few seconds passed.

Be that as it may, it was an undeniable truth that Null had committed a sin he could not deny. He had fallen to the dark temptation of growing stronger by absorbing other lifeforms souls!

"AVAAAAA!!!" Taz yelled in worry after hearing her scream from the lobby of the hotel.

He was chatting with one of the hotel's receptionists when he heard the bloodcurdling screech from his sister.

He and a group of bystanders rushed to the source of the scream to see the bloody corpse of Ava at the feet of a monster.

"AHHHH!!!" Without bothering to question the situation Taz leapt with a furious punch for the diabolical creature.

Not even seeming to register his existence, Null effortlessly avoided his attack as he performed one of his own.

Squelch!

He ripped at Taz's body as he absorbed another tasty morsel, and he didn't stop there.

By the time Null reached the lobby exit, he was bathed in the gory bits and fluids of the innocent people and hotel staff.

He raised his mania-infused face to the morning sun, his carefree expression giving clear indications as to what was to come next.

.....

At the prison facility, a siren was blaring, and lights flashed as the entire force made their way on an urgent call to action.

The Wanderer's Market was under attack by a powerful creature who had already felled tens of victims.

Theef laughed in his cell, "It's finally time!"

Although the guards had left in a hurry, they had made sure to lockdown the place on their way out.

Unfortunately for them, they couldn't confiscate anything from him as he had already assimilated with all of his things.

To top it off, when the coast was clear, Theef began dribbling with acid spit as he launched a slew of it at the bars.

Tshhhh!

The metal bars melted with ease, allowing Theef to slip out and begin his epic escape.

Meanwhile, at the Wanderer's Market Null was engaging in combat with the entirety of the present wanderers at hand.

Spells, weapons, and all sorts of attacks landed on his unguarded body as held himself with glee.

The horrid display of both sadistic and masochistic tendencies the monster had caused the surviving wanderers to begin to lose their will to fight.

"We need to find a way to escape," one of the spellcasters yelled as they fired off a flaming projectile.

"There's no point in trying to run. You've already seen what it did to the others who ran."

"Then what are we supposed to do? We can't defeat this thing no matter what we throw at it." A panting man said with despair in his voice.

"We don't have to defeat it. We only have to distract it long enough for the big man to make it here," a male spellcaster revealed.

"He's right! The Barter Headquarters should have already been notified by now. It shouldn't be long befor- ACK!"

The brief period of relief they had was cut short by the monster's continued rampage. It tore through the hopeful speaker before he could finish his sentence.

"NOOOOO!!!" The female spellcaster screamed as she was covered in his fresh blood.

She attempted to run, grabbing the attention of the unforgiving predator. As she turned and ran, the figured blurred and reappeared behind her.

A bloody arm tore through her back before sliding back out.

The monster turned to the rest of its prey that had given up and also tried their best to flee.

The entire Wanderer's Market soon went completely silent; blood tainted the streets; corpses were strewn around the place both intact and scattered in pieces.

But just as it was beginning to look bleak for the rest of the civilians in the public market, a lone figure shot across the sky towards the massacre.

Seeing Null amidst the chaos the ruler of Barter could not believe he could allow such a thing on his own planet.

He let out furious yell that was subconsciously infused with energy due to how angry he was.

It had seemed like his efforts had been fruitful in some aspect as the pitch-black color of the monster's skin quivering before receding into a vortex on Null's stomach and disappearing.

A naked child stood in a mess of blood and gore examining his hand as he came to realize the undeniable truth that it was his own doing.
