Losing control of oneself

Arriving at the eastern walls, Ace realised that the demon beast invasion was just a lie to gather the sect masters here as expected.

While there were sect masters who were complaining about their time being wasted on a pointless trip, there were also those like Ace who understood the reason why they were gathered here.

"What a waste of my time when I could have spent these last few days guiding my personal disciple."

"Sect master Luis, you aren't the only one who's affected by this sudden meeting."

"It seems that your sect has made it here too."

"Of course, all the forces present right now are of the Tiger Tier after all, how could I afford to not be here?"

"Fair enough."

Overhearing their conversation, Ace couldn't help but twitch his ears when he looked around and realised that all the sect masters or leaders present were wearing the token issued by the Nebuka Kingdom on their chests proudly.

If there was one thing the tokens had in common, it was the Tiger emblem imprinted on each and every single token regardless of how disturbing this fact was to Ace.

Even so, Ace put on the token with a wolf emblem on his chest just like the other cultivation leaders present, his face calm without a single trace of expression despite standing out in an odd fashion.

"Young boy, what are you doing here with that token on your chest? Did your sect master send you here to take a look at the current situation and give you this token as a method of protecting yourself?"

Ace smirked under his concealed expression and replied, "It doesn't seem to concern you, if there's nothing else, please move out of the way."

From the way the man spoke, the superiority in his voice had already irritated Ace. Even though that man was most likely a Martial Lord judging from his background, that doesn't mean Ace would back down without a fight.

"You asked for it!"

"Calm down, why are you trying to attack a young boy of all people here?" Another man stepped in and intervened, but when Ace saw who that person was, even he couldn't help but be surprised as well.

It was Malene from the Paladin Haven.

"Great Paladin Malene, even though the Paladin Haven constantly interferes with our matters, are you doing to deepen our feud for a young boy who showed no respect to me?"

"It seems that you're just looking for a reason to get into a fight with me."

"So what if I am?"

"If that's the case, prove to me how worthy you are to be my opponent then!"

Malene threatened with a confident smirk as she took out what resembles a magic wand.

It was a simple magic wand made of elf wood which could be found in forests by a stroke of luck, these trees existed in small numbers, but the quality of the product they could produce were definitely worth the insane price.

Not only that, in the center of that wand, was a crescent shape that inverted into the wand's direction, a thin string attached to both ends of the crescent which links to the magic wand.

On the other hand, the man had taken out what resembled a halberd as Ace observed his heavy weapon in interest.

The halberd was almost as tall as the man when he stabbed it into the ground, the tip of its blades almost up to the man's shoulder despite his tall and muscular build.

"Elf enchantment: Storm of the wind blades."

Malene chanted as wind energy gathered around the scepter area of the wand, forming a wind orb which was devouring the surrounding wind energy in hunger as blades of wind were released from it, each ripping the air which gave it life apart mercilessly while flying towards the man.

"Storm Piercer!"

The man charged forward with a yell, energy gathering within his body and transferred into his arms, a yellow aura surrounding his body, his legs sinking deeper into the ground for stability as he destroyed the wind blades one after another.

The intensity of the battle only intensified with time passing as the crowd soon gathered and even though Malene had more supporters than that man, no one present had the intentions to interfere since this fight was agreed on by both sides.

*Swoosh*

Right at this moment, the various cultivation leaders sensed someone landing from the sky, it was a handsome man wearing a headband with a silver gem on it crafted onto the front of the headband.

The man was wearing a simple robe, exuding the scent of royalty as his robe brought about the symbolisation of wealth. This man was the current guardian of the Nebula Kingdom.

A true Martial Ancestor realm expert who no one here can even hope to contend against. Here, right now, in the Nebula Kingdom, this guardian was god and no one could possibly come close to harming him.

"Interesting, to think that I would actually be able to witness such a heated battle between equals here." The guardian laughed as he sat down on his own chair taken out from his spatial ring.

The chair was simple, similar to those that kings in the cultivation world of mortals would have, the seat that only those on the throne can deserve with the royal markings of a dragon on it.

Despite the curious gaze everyone had towards him, the guardian paid no heed to it as he sat down to enjoy the battle.

"This is bad." Ace reacted the moment he saw the man piercing through Malene's defense, his halberd aiming straight for her stomach.

Malene noticed that she had already lost the range advantage and wanted to pull back, but the man had already made use of his martial skill to send a shockwave from behind her, leaving her helpless in pulling distance from him.

He was fast, too quick for Malene to cast any other spells.

Is this the end? Malene smiled as a drop of tear leaked from her eye, her eyes closed with her arms wide open.

*Clang*

Few seconds later, what's the matter, did he hold back despite the feud between us? Malene thought to herself with curiosity in her eyes, but when she saw Ace contending against the man while gaining the upper hand, she was shocked.

A shockful thunder went boom in everyone's mind when they realised the cultivation of this young boy, a Martial Spirit whose soul spirit has already been awakened to at least the purple or even the orange grade.

Not only that, this young boy was winning against a Martial Lord who even though was weaker than the majority, still a true Martial Lord who have lived for tens of years.

"I have shown my sincerity, now then, do you need him alive or dead?"

Ace asked casually, the strong gust of wind from their last exchange of moves causing his hair to sway with the wind.

"Don't harm him, I was the one who lost the battle after all."

"Well then, if you can receive this move or get saved by others, then count yourself lucky." Ace smirked as the slaughter law gathered into his sword, his manic laughter terrifying everyone whereas the guardian was already prepared to intervene if needed.

Ace struggled to go against his slaughter law, but the more he tried to shake that notion off, the more it attempted to corrode his mind and take control over his body.

To be more exact, he was conscious, but his body was going against the command and orders from his mind, gathering the Slaughter law and Nirvana flames into his sword without holding back in the slightest.

Ace had only asked that question to petrify that man, but there was no reason for him to take his life over such a small matter, but if his body does go against his wishes right now, then it would only bring about trouble.

"What else do you want?" The man yelled back, only for an immense amount of killing intent to send chills down his spine, his legs immobilized and his body quivering in fear.

Ace heard him, but his body continued to walk towards the man. One step at a time. His footsteps sounding like the grim reaper from hell who has arrived to claim the man's life.

Please...stop...that was the only notion the man had before the sword slashed down towards him from some distance away. In fact, a long distance.

"Relentless Ignition!"

"Someone save me!"

Hearing this, the guardian knew that it had to intervene as it neutralised the attack easily with a wave of his robe, but before he could even bring the man out safely, the same attack manifested before his eyes silently as he dispersed it before throwing the man out of Ace's attack range.

The third sword wave was silent, from behind, annoying the guardian who dispersed it once again before dashing towards Ace, his index finger on Ace's forehead as he calmed Ace down with a single push of his finger.

To others, it was a simple push, but what the guardian did was transfer some of his galaxy energy into Ace's mind while leaving behind a message.
