Side story 2 : Kakashis talk

- This event happened just after Dobesuke left to meet Itachi -

Sanada, who was left alone by Dobesuke, was greeted by Kakashi who was on his way to train Naruto and Sasuke.

" Hmm.. so it is Dobesuke huh? Well, don't take things too seriously. Sometimes you need a good rest too!"

Said Kakashi as he patted Sanada's shoulder.

After the event in the Jonin party, the relationship between Kakashi and Sanada had gotten a lot closer, and now it was up to the point where the two treated each other as a friend and not just Seniors and Junior.

Sanada sighed helplessly. Even though Adult Sasuke wouldn't pose any danger toward Konoha, shouldn't he tell him before he left? He thought.

Nonetheless, things had been progressing this way, and Sanada could only hope that Tsunade was not able to discover this, or else he would get a mouthful of a lecture from the sexy granny.

Sanada turned his head around as he saw Kakashi who was standing next to him while reading Icha-icha-Paradise.

" Umm.. Kakashi senpai? Shouldn't you go now?"

" Hahahaha, what are you saying Sanada? The little guys are already used to me being late, so there's no need for me to be hurried."

Sanada really wanted to slap the back of this guy's head.

Just remembering the fact that he wasted so much of Sakura's potential in the anime had already made Sanada triggered.

And if not for the fact that he was a calm and composed adult with a super magnanimous heart, Sanada would have really done what he thought.

The two stuck in this awkward atmosphere for a while, and it seemed Kakashi really liked to annoy Sanada.

Sanada watched that Kakashi didn't have any intention to leave him and was ready to use the thunder breathing style to leave Kakashi away in the dust, but suddenly, he remembered something.

' Hmm.. if it's this yaro, then maybe he could give me some answer.'

Among all the guys in Naruto, it could be said that Kakashi's life was the most painful one.

He lost his father, Sensei, fellow teammates, and almost everyone he cared for died right in front of his eyes. Even Pain, who always talked about Pain didn't suffer that much Pain like him.

Sanada was still contemplating his future as adult Sasuke's words really struck a nerve, and now this yaro came, Sanada felt like he could use Kakashi to find the answer he was looking for.

" Kakashi-Senpai, do you know what your goal is?"

" !!???"

Sanada was just asking a simple question, but contrary to his expectations, Kakashi's response was a pretty big one.

' So he has finally reached this age huh.. Sanada, you have grown.' Kakashi murmured silently, but it still didn't escape Sanada's ear.

' Oi oi, what do you mean by have grown? I'm a full-fledged adult, okay!!???'

Still, Sanada knew that he shouldn't interrupt Kakashi. he waited for Kakashi to continue as he looked at him intently.

" Sanada, listen to me. I used to be the same as you, wandering at the crossroad of life. Wondering whether the path I have taken so far was correct...."

" I lost everyone I hold as dear, I killed everyone standing in my path, and when I realized it, I have nothing standing by my side. I was alone, stuck in the path of endless revenge..."

The more words Kakashi said, the more Sanada listened carefully. He didn't know why, but Sanada felt like he could get what he wanted to know here."

" And then.." Sanada asked as he was very curious about Kakashi's next words.

Sanada really felt like he was duped. The opening and everything was so perfect, but then he was getting this shitty ending. This Yaro really intended to play with him, didn't he?

Kakashi saw Sanada like this, and a burst of laughter escaped from his mouth.

" Well, you could see yourself. Even at this age, I'm single, with no other stable job than being a ninja and reading porn books in the middle of daylight. Do you think someone like me has found my answer?"

" ..... "

" Hahahahaha, no need to be that tense. I'm the same as you. I still don't know what I'm looking for or what my goal is. Everyone had their own journey, Sanada, and everyone's journey is different. Even if I already get the answer and it works for me, it doesn't necessarily mean that it would work for you!"

Sanada really didn't know what to say at this time.

He wanted to refute, but it was inevitable that all Kakashi's words indeed make sense.

" Don't worry Sanada. You are fine as you are right now. Life is a journey, and you have just took your first step in this long arduous but beautiful journey. However, if you ever find yourself stuck and don't know what to do. Stop for a while and take a breather. Look toward your surrounding and see that you have a lot of comrade next to you, after all, getting lost together would be a lot better than getting lost alone, right?"
