Ch 48 : Konoha Crush Plan (2)

After dealing with the Giant Snake, Sanada didn't stop.

His hands and feet continued to move, dealing with every foreign ninja that he saw.

It may sound a bit cruel as they only did what their superiors had told them to but this was the reality of war.

Kindness to your enemy would only be cruelty to yourself.

Countless Genin and Chunin had shed blood by Sanada's hands. Some of them were killed, while some of them were only incapacitated.

Without realizing it, Sanada had already cleared off several streets.

He crossed a new street and found the enemy ninja giving him strange looks.

"Damn, who the hell is he? How can he be so strong!"

"I don't know, but the only thing we can do now is to try and kill him!"

"Our lives are at stake, it's better than doing nothing and dying!!"

Encountering a group of enemies at every turn he made, Sanada was no longer as kind as before.

In just one move, he had wiped out almost half of the enemy groups he encountered on this street.

There were also some struggling Konoha Ninjas. They had been informed about this prior to the event but their battle strength was just way too low.

"Jonin Sanada!"

"It's Sanada! We are saved!"

When they saw the incoming person clearly, the Konoha ninja on the side was obviously excited.

Apparently, someone had revealed that Sanada was the one that pushed back Orochimaru before and thus his strength should be somewhere around upper-level Jonin.

The enemies, on the other hand, had a gloom look seeing such a strong opponent. Why was their luck so bad to meet someone like this.

They wanted to escape but they knew they wouldn't be able to. The other side would definitely not let them escape, so rather than trying a futile attempt to escape they would rather try to attack and som-

Before the enemies' eyes even had time to react, their heads fell to the ground.

Their heads rolled down the floor, eyes widened. They couldn't believe what had just happened.

Sanada's eyes were cold. The water blade on his hand had harvested countless lives in this battle. And that one move alone had killed more than dozens of enemy ninja.

Several more streets and Sanada eventually decided that it was enough.

Even without his help, Konoha would still win this one. He just wanted to reduce the casualties on Konoha's side and he thought he had done it pretty well.

His eyes shifted in the direction where his disciples were currently battling Gaara, and a small smirk appeared on his mouth.

'Well, time to see your progress.'

After that, Sanada blinked and was nowhere to be seen in Konoha anymore.

A few kilometers outside Konoha, Sasuke, Sakura, and Naruto were currently battling the sand trio.

Sasuke handled Gaara who was in a semi-transformed state, Sakura fought Temari and Naruto fought Kankuro.

Because of Sanada's intervention, Shino would no longer face Kankuro in the Chunin exam. Therefore, he had no motivation to chase the sand trio like in the original plot.

CLANGG!!!

Sakura's fist clashed with Temari's giant fan.

If replaced by any other normal Genin, she would definitely have been blown away by Sakura's Karasugawara Seiken long ago.

However the current Temari already possessed the capability of a Chunin and even though she was not able to gain any advantage against Sakura, she was still able to hold her ground.

Sakura was a bit frustrated that she could not get the better of Temari even after so long.

What could she say? Temari's methods had countered her.

She had tried to release a few Uchimizu at Temari, but just one blow from the Giant fan and the Uchimizu had been rendered useless.

Sakura shifted her gaze toward Sasuke, who was currently battling the semi-transformed Gaara, and found that even though they were currently battling on an equal term, Sasuke had always been pushed into the passive state.

'This won't work much longer.. I must finish the battle quickly and go support Sasuke!'

Looking at Sakura that had stopped moving, Temari sighed in relief.

She thought that the other party had realized that it was useless to keep going and had decided to give up.

But she then saw Sakura beginning to make hand signs and her eyes couldn't help but widen.

Boar, Dog, Bird, Monkey, Ram!

Sakura bit her own finger and placed it on one of the trees, where a huge smokescreen suddenly covered the entire arena where they were battling.

'This is bad!!!!'

Temari was caught offhanded by the summoning jutsu.

She used her giant fan in an attempt to blow away the smoke but when the smoke eventually dissipated, Sakura's figure was long gone.

It was at that moment Temari realized she was in danger.

She tried to move as far away as possible from her current location but it was already too late.

Only a few seconds after Temari blew away the smoke, Sakura had finished preparing her jutsu.

"Yarinami!!!!!" (E.N Spear Wave)

A big water spear burst out with enough force to punch a hole through solid structures, and this was now heading towards Temari.

Temari had tried to lower the strength of the water spear with her wind style, but unfortunately for her Yarinami was not Uchimizu.

The momentum of the water spear was so high that it wasn't affected by the wind style at all.

The water spear was approaching quickly and Temari tried to block it with her giant fan without any success.

In the end, the power of Yarinami was just way too much for her to handle and she ended up being blown away several kilometers.
