Yoriichi's and Genkai Scheme

After the jonin exited the Raikage office, he took the Uzu team to meet the Raikage and also the village elders who also wanted to meet them. They were also present in the Raikage's office.

The Raikage and Yoriichi locked eyes with each other.

The Raikage ended the silence.

"I hope you enjoyed the view of our village. And you did not get any trouble during your journey." Raikage said

Before Genkai could reply, Yoriichi said "Although the village scenery is not bad, it's nothing compared to Uzushiogakure. You should come there sometime to check out the beaches. As for any trouble in our journey, we did not have much trouble aside from saving some of your shinobi."

Raikage could not help but twitch his eye a little at that. Genkai could not help but sigh at the change of attitude of Yoriichi after becoming a jonin.

"I would like to thank you all for saving the life of our village shinobi. I would like to take the body of the Hozuki jonin that you have. Of course, we are willing to pay you 6 million ryo for it." Raikage said

"6 million? You will have to pay 8 million Ryo." Yoriichi said as a matter of fact.

"But you said 6 million ryo when we asked you for the body in the merchant ship." The jonin that had accompanied them until now said confused.

Yoriichi was not the one to back down as he also used thunder breathing while he activated his demon slayer thunder mark. His body was also now covered with fierce yellow thunder and blue lightning.

Raikage's and Yoriichi's lightning clashed against each other as cracks started forming inside the room.

"Huh? Are you so poor to not compensate people who saved the lives of your shinobis? Do you not care about their lives or do you care about money more? And you don't even want the body of the one who killed your shinobi? Don't you want to bring justice to your shinobi? If you don't have any proof, how would you do it? As for whether I am as strong as you, we can find it right now." As Yoriichi said that Muramasa appeared in his hands.

Seeing this, everyone from Kumo got on guard. Sweat rolling down their throats after experiencing the pressure from both Raikage and Yoriichi.

But the worst was yet to come.

A dark aura spread through the entire room, the pressure from both Raikage and Yoriichi disappearing in an instant.

"Yoriichi stop being so greedy. Sorry Raikage San for Yoriichi's behavior. He is in his teenage years and is being quite disobedient these days. Don't worry though, he would be spanked by his grandpa back at home. We will take the 6 million ryo. Yoriichi give him the Hozuki clan member's body."

"But..... Fineee" Yoriichi hesitated at first before he gave up as Genkai glared at him. He tossed the scroll with the dead body to the raikage with a pout.

"Thank you. At least Uzukage sent someone with reason in your team. You will get your payment soon. As for sealing the two tails, we will do it in 3 hrs from now after you have rested." The raikage said while he inwardly sweated at the chakra pressure of Genkai.

He was surprised by Yoriichi's power which nearly rivaled his own. Yoriichi was maybe just weaker than him. But Genkai was strong, very strong from what he understood from his pressure.

The Uzu team then went to their inn where they stayed.

"Damn, You two are really good actors." Hiromi said looking at both of them in awe.

Yoriichi and Genkai gave each other a high five.

"Mission accomplished."

This was all planned by them from the beginning. Yoriichi would play the bad cop and Genkai would play the good cop during the meeting. This way Raikage would be forced to take strict action against Mist even if he does not want to.

Since now even the elders know about their shinobis getting killed by Mist, Raikage would not be able to hide it.

They also would not hesitate to use this as a political weapon against the Raikage if he does not take serious action against Mist.

This would divide their attention between the village hidden in the frost and the village hidden in the mist even if by just a little. It would be a relief for the village hidden in the frost.

Uzushiogakure does not want the land of frost to fall under the land of lightning. At least not until they have dealt with their internal issues of traitors. Since after concurring land of frost, Kumo might change their focus to Uzushiogakure or land of the hot water.

Well, Yoriichi was not worried about this but he was worried about something else.
