Kumogakure

The merchant ship reached the land of lightning in another 5 days. The Uzu team traveled on land along with the Kumo shinobi to the village hidden in the clouds.

The Kumo shinobi were helpful at the different checkpoints in the land of lightning where Kumo shinobi were stationed. Thus, there were no more hiccups in their journey.

They reached the village hidden in the clouds after a day of constantly running.

They were greeted by a breathtaking scene. The village hidden in the clouds was really hidden by the clouds.

The village was build on top of various mountains. Each mountain was connected to other by a bridge.

Houses, shops and other buildings were build around the mountains with concrete.

On the highest mountain was the raikage's office. The beauty of the village came from the clouds which made the whole village look dream.

The Uzu team entered the village and directly went to the Raikage's office. The people of the village looked curiously at them since they were wearing the head band of another village.

The shinobi were also on high alert as soon as they received news that Genkai Uzumaki is in their village. The guy who could teleport anywhere and anytime.

They were worried that he would maybe assassinate someone important in their village without anyone knowing or steal an important jutsu of their village. They would not have any proof that Genkai was responsible for it and he would get away with whatever crime he committed. So they protected everyone important in the village as well as their jutsu library.

The Uzu team was escorted to the Raikage's office.

The jonin from the merchant ship reported first to the Raikage.

-------In the Raikage Office----

à was sitting in his office reading different reports when the jonin he has assigned to bring the Uzushiogakure team to Kumo had arrived in his office to report.

"Reporting Sir" The jonin did a military salute.

"Good job bringing the Uzushiogakure team to Kumo safely. Anything you want to report?" Raikage asked

"Yes Raikage sama. After a few days from leaving Uzushiogakure, We were ambushed by 3 pirate ships with almost 90 shinobis on board. Though most of them were weak, the real problem came from their numbers. But that was not all, there were Hozuki clan members hidden underwater. They took the opportunities presented by the pirates and sneaked attacked us which resulted in the death of two chunins." The jonin said with a grave tone.

That's right, two chunins of Kumo died. Though the Uzushiogakure team could have helped them sooner and prevented these casualties but then Kumo would not pursue Mist for the incident with a lot of force. Now that there were casualties, Kumo would be forced to take action against Mist.

The jonin continued his report "We would have all died if not for the Uzushiogakure team deciding to help us. The kid from Hoshigaki summoned sharks who easily dealt with the chunin Hozuki clan members hidden underwater using their water form."

"The Uzumaki girl healed our injured. Genkai of the dark release dealt with two of the pirate ships and Yoriichi Uzumaki dealt with the last ship along with the leader of the Hozuki team, a jonin from their clan who had been branded a missing nin by the Mist one month ago." The Jonin finished his report

The Raikage did not have a change in expression "So the Mist targeted us? But they would not do it since they have no reason for it. So they probably must be targeting the Uzushiogakure team. You guys were likely in the middle of their targets so they had to eliminate you. But since they have killed our shinobi we would have to take some action against Mist or they would get bolder. We are already having skirmishes against the village hidden in the frost. We don't want Mist to trouble us right now. So we can't make any big demands from Mist. But we would need some proof." Raikage said as he then asked the jonin whether he had taken a pirate or a hozuki clan member for questioning.

"All of them were killed by the Uzushiogakure's team." Jonin replied

"Do you have the body of the Hozuki who was a jonin?" Raikage said

The Jonin did not know how to answer this question.

"Sir, there might be slight complication with the body. Yoriichi Uzumaki, the one who killed the jonin wants the bounty of the missing nin. He is pretty adamant about it and did not want to give us the body before we pay him the sum."

"That brat is as greedy as his grandfather. We will pay for the bounty. How much is it?" Raikage asked

"It is 5 million ryo. But he wants an extra million. He says it's for his medical treatment for the injuries caused by fighting the Hozuki jonin."

Raikage couldn't help but laugh at this.

"To think one of the most richest village's kage's grandson would be this greedy. Hahaha"

"Very well, We will pay him for the body. Now I have another mission for you and your team. So you won't be getting any rest anytime soon."

Raikage turned serious as he described the mission to the jonin "You have to keep an eye on Kingaku and Gingaku and their subordinates. They might try to act against Uzushiogakure's team. We don't want to start a war if anything happens to Uzukage's grandson. Not like they could harm the monster of a kid anyways. But still we should be careful."
