In the following days, Yato paid close attention to the situation in the Hokage Building. Whenever he detected Shisui approaching, he would quickly run to the back door of the Ninja School and activate the sound transmission note to eavesdrop.
Days passed by, one after another, with the sound transmission notes disappearing one by one. Yato felt a pang of sorrow as these notes were valuable and, once used, couldn't be replaced. However, he had to continue eavesdropping to ensure the success of the plan and determine the date of Uchiha Shisui's death accurately.
Finally, at the end of June, he discovered the answer he had been searching for inside the hostage's office. Shisui kneeled on one knee, his masked expression hiding his anxiety as he pleaded with the Hokage for another chance to convince the Uchiha Elders.
Exhaling a heavy puff of smoke, Sarutobi calmly responded, "Shisui, you're a good young man. I can sense your unwavering determination. I will continue to rely on you for information from the Uchiha clan." Uchiha Shisui sensed something was off with this response. The Third Hokage had evaded his question and instead requested that he continue monitoring the Uchiha clan.
Clearly, the former hero of the village had made a decision within his heart. For the sake of the village's stability and peace, he knew he had to address the troubles within the Uchiha clan. Despite his desire to save the clan, Shisui couldn't give up and immediately said, "Hokage, my Mangekyō Sharingan has the power to change everything. Please give me another chance! Shisui revealed the full extent of his Mangekyō Sharingan abilities and expressed his willingness to use Kotoamatsukami on Uchiha Fugaku. Sarutobi Hiruzen was stunned by this revelation. He had never anticipated the existence of such a powerful illusion in the world.
Sarutobi was terrified, and his back was covered in cold sweat. After learning about Shisui ability, he was really afraid that he would use it on him and became his slave. Thankfully, Shisui was a naive good lad and told him his secret.
Sarutobi's expression kept shifting as his thoughts raced; fortunately, Shisui kept his head down and didn't see.
"I'll leave it to you."
After an unknown period of time, Shisui left as if he had made up his mind and headed towards the Uchiha clan.
In the hostage's office, Sarutobi Hiruzen exhales smoke once again, contemplating his next move. Although he had promised Shisui, he needed to make preparations in case Shisui failed. He would then join forces with the mercenary organization Akatsuki to eliminate the root of the problem.
"Leave it to me, Sarutobi. I know what needs to be done," Danzo said as he merged into the darkness, preparing to meet with Uchiha Shisui.
Uchiha Shisui's Mangekyō Sharingan ability both excited and alerted him. He believed that he should be the one to decide how to use such a dangerous power.
After the meeting in the hostage's office, Yato opened his eyes and thought, "This day has finally come!" He quickly joined the group of students heading back to the classroom.
Today was the Uchiha clan meeting, where they would discuss and plan for a coup. Shisui, one of the Uchiha members, had intended to use Kotoamatsukami on the high-ranking members of the clan. However, Danzo had intercepted him and taken his right eye beforehand.
"We still have some time, but we need to prepare quickly," Yato thought. In Yato's memory, there were several versions of how Root attacked Uchiha Shisui. One version involved Danzo surprising Shisui and directly taking his eye using Izanagi. Another version consisted of a battle with Root that wore down Shisui until they were able to easily take his eye.
Regardless of the version, all of these events occurred in the evening. It was currently the end of summer, so the nights were longer than in the winter. Sometimes it wouldn't even get dark until 7 in the evening. The ninja school ended at 4 p.m., and the fight between Root and Shisui lasted from dusk until night.
"I have at least three hours to prepare," Yato realized. He went to a secluded corner and made a seal, creating four shadow clones. After a brief exchange of looks, they made another seal and used the transformation technique to change their appearances. They then scattered.
When the school bell rang, Yato stood up and was about to leave the classroom when someone called out to him. He turned around and saw Hanabi wearing a kimono.
"Are you staying overnight at Mr. Guy's house today?" she asked.
Yato nodded in confirmation without stopping.
"I see." Hanabi smiled and handed him a gift box tied with a bow. "This is for Mr. Guy. Make sure you get along well with him."
She didn't mention that the gift was from her and meant to help Yato increase his relationship with his teacher. After saying goodbye, Hanabi waved and walked away.
"Yato..." Riku said, but he cut them off.
"Let's go; we still need to go to the pharmacy."
Yato accepted the gift and then made his way to an empty corner to perform the transformation technique once again. Once he completed the transformation, he headed straight for the nearest pharmacy.

In the evening, the sun began to set, casting a warm golden light across the sky and the earth below. In the civilian area of Konoha Ninja Village, the houses were adorned with lit stoves, sending streams of white and black smoke into the air. It was a bustling scene as people returned home after a busy day.
Among the hustle and bustle, Might Guy's home outside the forest in the civilian area was no exception. Upon Yato's arrival, he immediately took charge of cooking.
"Ah, I really appreciate your help, Yato. You are the guest, yet you're cooking for yourself," Might Guy exclaimed upon seeing Yato's efforts. He didn't seem the least bit embarrassed.
"But you're my disciple. As they say, a teacher is like a father. Consider this your home," Might Guy responded, his heart filled with an indescribable happiness.
This sight reminded him of his own father, although things were different now. He had grown up and could care for the next generation.
"Let's eat," Yato declared simply as he carried the meal to the table in the hall.
The wooden house, although larger than his own, had a similarly modest interior. There was no fancy dining table; meals were enjoyed in the hall.
"Bon appétit!"
After washing his hands, Might Guy sat cross-legged at the table. He picked up the chopsticks, ready to eat.
"This is for you!"
Yato placed the gift on the table in front of Might Guy.
"A gift? For me?" Might Guy was stunned and began crying.
"Teacher is so happy, Yato..."
"It's from Hanabi!"
Yato stopped Might Guy from rushing over by pointing the chopsticks at his eyes.
Might Guy's expression changed, and tears continued to flow.
Although he was disappointed that it was not a gift from a disciple, Might Guy was still hopeful. He carefully opened the package, saying, "Let me guess... Oh, it's a bottle of wine. Hanabi is so thoughtful..."
"Want to drink some, Yato?"
"I'm not an adult yet!"
"That's a pity. In that case, let me taste the taste of youth!" Might Guy opened the bottle and quickly poured himself a glass, exclaiming that it was refreshing.
After eating and drinking, Yato cleaned up the dishes. Might Guy seemed drunk, holding the empty bottle and shaking it. His expression became serious as he said it meaningfully.
"Yato!"
"Yes."
"No matter how painful or sad, important things require perseverance until the end. Even if it means losing one's life."
"Yes."
"The same goes for those we cherish. Even if it means losing our lives, we must protect them until the end. This way, even in death, we leave behind evidence of being a true man..."
After saying that, Might Guy fell to the ground, unconscious.
Yato carried his body silently to the nearby bedroom and left him there.
Looking at the sleeping Might Guy, Yato stood for a while, then decisively tied the wrist guards with the word "seal" printed on them and fastened the ninja sword to his waist.
After doing all this, he put on his mask and closed the door of the wooden house.
"If a person dies, then there is nothing left, Teacher Guy!"
