29 Question

Inside the forest,

With an appreciative look, Danzo walked out appearing before Naoki and others.

"My guess was right!"

Naoki who was feeling weak due to the virus, seeing danzo appearing knew his decision to not to use that power was correct.

He had doubts during the battle why hasn't danzo still appeared, a shinobi of his caliber could be held back for so long by mere three special jonin, clearly something was fishy.

With the plot foresight, he naturally ruled out the possibility of danzo getting killed, so the other guess was that danzo was probably delayed or was just watching there performance.

With how indifferent and cold danzo is, it was easy for Naoki to guess this.

Danzo who had arrived didn't go towards Naoki first, arriving near the dead stone rogue shinobi, rummaging through his ninja bag.

Danzo took the contents in the ninja bag out, finally founding a small flask with a green liquid in it.

"Here!"

Said Danzo as he threw the flask towards Naoki next second, who with some difficulty raised his hand and caught it.

With his thumb, Naoki removed the cork on the flask, looking at the content inside with calm eyes.

"How about it? Is it enough for everyone here!"

Asked Danzo looking at Naoki, as the antidote seemed not enough for the amount of people needed to be rescued.

Three children, Three women, the old man and his son, and then Naoki, Sayuri and Shinku.

"It's definitely not enough for everyone here"

Said Naoki truthfully looking at the amount, pretty sure not everyone will be able to get the antidote.

"Then it can't be helped, few sacrifices are part of the life of a shinobi, the rescued one are the priority!"

"It doesn't matter whether our mission target colluded with the enemy or not, our mission was to rescue them and hand them over to the client, private grievance they can solve it themselves!"

"So cure them first, after that take the antidote yourself, and then it's there turn!"

Said Danzo with decisiveness in his tone, the eyes of Sayuri and Shinku on the ground widening at his words.

"I understand!"

Nodded Naoki at the instructions of Danzo, in the eyes of shinku and sayuri contained some despair already.

The first one was the old man, Naoki taking out a few injections from his medical kit in the ninjutsu scroll, injecting the antidote in his veins.

There was no need for Koichi, as he had taken the antidote already way back in the cave, so he wasn't affected.

After the old man, it was the turn of the three children, Naoki one by one with a calm face injecting antidote in them as well, then one of the three woman.

Though at this instance, Naoki stopped and didn't continue injecting anymore, his eyes on the pitiful amount of green liquid in the flask.

"At most it's enough for three more people!"

Concluded Naoki looking at the green liquid in his hands, those three people the last two women and himself.

Danzo, Shinku and Sayuri who were watching him all the time had eyes on the flask as well, having been watching him all the time, able to guess how many more people could be cured.

"Well~they will serve as good sharpening stones for him at least!"

Knowing shinku and sayuri had no hope anymore, Danzo although a bit regretful at the loss of potential shinobi, but the thought of Naoki getting even stronger mentally after this calming him down somewhat.

Having seen all kinds of people in his life, he could say with certainty that no one came close to Naoki in terms of cool-headedness at this tender age.

Whether it was him, Sarutobi or anyone else, at this age they were far away from him mentally.

But he couldn't think long on what just happened, as Naoki who should have injected the two women was injecting himself.

"Huh...so they do have luck!"

Danzo who wanted to question his actions stopped immediately after sensing no life force in the body of two women, both dead suddenly.

Naoki not caring about danzo arrived before both shinku and sayuri and injected the antidote in them, both of them having unbelievable eyes.

Here they were ready for death, but those two women died suddenly which most likely seemed from the virus, saving there life.

Naoki after injecting them, silently lay on the ground, tired, though the question that he had read in a book in the library with no answer coming into his mind.

"If you find an old man and a child on a stranded island and could only take one with you, what will you do?"
