Chapter 5
Whispered started going on, heated discussion among girls of the class, some even recognized him from his social media fan following and had shocked expressions on their faces, no matter what background they were from, most of them were using their family's prestige and power and were born with rich blood or abundant wealth, but Eric was one of the few who earned a place for himself using his own hard work, be it fame.
Ava, on the other hand had a bad feeling as she looked at the girl with a frown, she could tell just by looking at their predatory expression what was going on their minds.
'I better be more cautious… Can't let them get close to Eric,' She decided before taking Eric hand in her hand and took him to a corner seat along with her, they both had sat together.
As Eric was looking around, a voice called out to him, "Eric! How have you been? It's been so long since we met." It was a guy with black hair and brown eyes that came up to him, his looks were average, and he seemed to know him.
Eric was aware of this guy's identity, "Samuel? It's been a long time indeed, haha…" He was old Eric's close friend, he belonged to a rich family and they became friends in junior school,
He chatted with the guy about some things, when Samuel said, looking at Ava, "Haa… You, Ava… still the same, huh? How many times have I told you to let Eric be free! Stop being so overprotective, he is already 16, you know!?"
It seemed Samuel had said this line countless times and Ava replied, "Hmph, don't compare him to you, Sam. Eric is too innocent for this world, and looking around, there is no way I will be leaving him alone." Ava said, as a matter of fact leaving everyone around speechless by her brother complex.
"You-!" Samuel fumed in anger as Ava was implying he wasn't innocent, "Stop with you brother complex already, you are growing older!" Samuel didn't back either and called and ticked her off, then begin a long string of argument between both Amy and Samuel.
I was getting worried as they kept getting heated, this world was reversed and I didn't know what to do, as I was worrying, another voice called for me, "Don't worry, they will keep bickering until teacher comes… haha" It was a girl who said that, she had long purple hair and crystal violet eyes, a straight nose, pink lips, and not only that she had a great figure, her curves were already becoming quite prominent, large breasts, thin waist, wide hips and thick thighs, she was very beautiful.
"Zoe? When did you come, I didn't even notice you." He said, Zoe was his childhood friend along with Samuel, Ava, him and the other two used to play together since childhood, and were quite close, these memories were slowly filling him in, the more familiar people he met, the more his memory started to fill back,
Ava and Samuel had always been like frenemies to each other, both arguing over every little thing, But the fact was Samuel had a crush on Ava but was too shy to confess and Ava was too in love with her own brother that she never gave any attention to other things.
As the duo continued bickering, the door to the classroom was opened once again, and this time it was the teacher who had entered, she was a tall woman with blonde hair, and blue eyes, a lean face, and a mature curvy body, she introduced herself as Jennifer and told everybody she will the homeroom teacher.
Eric could feel her teacher looking at him from time to time for some reason, he didn't dislike it, the woman was quite pretty, but the way she looked at him was quite… hard to put in words…
"So, I will start by briefing you all about the concept of magic and its classifications. Magic is the power to achieve the impossible, it can be drawn by anyone who has the required talent, mana is the driving force for magic, and the more mana one has, the more powerful they are. Magic is further divided into different categories based on the element of specialization, some of the most commonly seen yet powerful ones include, Fire, Water, and basic elements you are aware with associated with nature…." She kept saying about elements, "...and then are the uncommon ones and usually stronger ones, they are quite rare to find and someone that could use them are genius among geniuses. I hope someone among you could also obtain one such element in the 'mana-wakening rite', today they includ space, time, lightning, Light, Darkness, Gravity and some more..."
Eric listened intently, absorbing all knowledge, such knowledge was hardly available on [Magic Net], even if it was, they asked one to pay hefty price to unlock the knowledge.
"Alright, that's enough discussion, now follow me to the site, we are now going to tell you your elements." Jessica ordered all the bickering kids and everyone followed her to a large auditorium, it had wooden flooring and had glass windows at side walls, and a large mirror in front, just in front of the mirror, there was a orb placed on a table, it was a magic detection orb,
Eric knew about it beforehand and it would most likely help them identify their element.
Ava patted Eric's back, "Eric, are you excited to see your element? I am quite excited to be honest." Eric nodded to her as well,
Jessica started calling out kids by their roll numbers, he saw how students were awakening elements as the color of orb changed.
It's not that one could only have single element, but they could have multiple elements and the brighter the glow, the more affinity they would have with a particular element.
He saw students awakening a variety of elements but most of them were basic elements, none of them awakening more than one element, and their glow wasn't the mos impressive either.
It was Zoe's turn next.
