Episode 61: If messing up were a competence...

Ramon's calm yet cold and low tone gave him a jumpscare to his young and only brother who closed the door harshly as a reaction.

"Hey, bro. How'd you doing?"

Teo's voice was steady yet his body was trembling a bit.

"Beats me, you tell me. I came to pick up my brother. Who were you on about just now?"

His older brother inquired again to which Teo wiped his snotty face with one hand whilst he messed his own hair with the free one to hide his current state.

"I was talking about my hairdresser. I went to him this morning but he just left for personal reasons. His boss said he'll be back next week so I'll have to wait till then so I can get my hair trimmed."

Ramon folded his arms over his chest, eyeing him suspiciously as he noticed Teo's puffy eyes and red nose when he turned to face him.

"Do you miss him so much that you even cried?"

"You just don't get it. He's the one who can makes my hair look fluffy, voluminous and always neat with a glamorous look"

Teo snapped without realizing it when being questioned about his reasons, he wasn't lying as his stylist was one of the best out there and his skills were off limits, but even he would have to recognize to himself that crying just because of it was a bit dramatic, however, that didn't stop him either as another tear rolled down his cheek.

"Gosh. Do you have a crush on him?"

Ramon asked as Teo was acting a bit off yet his answer was something he didn't anticipate.

"What if I do? Are you going to chase him away too?"

Ramon didn't hesitate as he spoke in a single breath, so gently yet dangerous "You don't have to be so defensive about it. I'm just trying to look after you so you don't get hurt or used by some douchebag. And if breaking some bones in the process is necessary to get the idea across I won't hold back either." A terrifying grin dancing across his lips as those dimples usually showing sweetness gave him chills.

He was ready to unleash when someone yelped within Jack's bedroom.

-"Yah! Don't touch me?! I can get up on my own."

-"I was just trying to help"

"I haven't allowed you to"

-"You didn't flinch when he handed you some water"

-"... Well, maybe I don't like you"

-"You brat…"

Ramon let out a loud sigh as the bickery refused to stop as he heard Jake and Angello going back and forth like cats and dogs, "this guys… We'll talk about this later", he aimed at his brother with his index finger.

Ramon rushed towards the aforementioned room when he heard Jimeno letting out a shrieking yelp.

"Play cool. Play cool. Play cool."

Teo said to himself to calm down as he went to find out what was going on within the small room.

Everything came down like a stormy rain from everywhere, wishing the winds would slow down so he could catch a breath.

~ At the parking lot ~

Josh zipped his leather jacket, throwing a leg over the bike, fetching his helmet from handgrip to secure it around his head, soon fetching his device and sticking it on the pocket inside the helmet as he used his voice to dial his lawyer.

"Call Frank, Dave"

He commanded his device as he clutched the start switch to get the engine on, kicking off the footrest stabilizing the vehicle.

Kicking the brake pedal the call was answered on the other end, so he rode smoothly when his friend spoke at the other end.

Lawyer–"Man, thank the Lord. Your mother is driving me up the wall", his voice sounded exhausted letting out a sigh of relief.

To which Josh spoke a bit louder as the device was really close to his mouth, "Sorry, man… I was… I'll tell ya everything when I get to your office."

L–"You're coming?" The lawyer said surprised.

J-"yeah, I'm on my way" he turned left in the next corner to get to the main road.

L—"Wait for me. I was–"

J-"You don't need to explain yourself. Bet my mother didn't let ya enjoy the night."

L—"Just sent him home… anyhow. Your mom dragged your Sergeant into this, don't ask me how, they're most likely looking for you on the port."

J-"Ugh… I'll contact him too. I need you to lend me one of your suits."

L—"Didn't Luigi lend you some when he dropped by?"

J–" Let's say his style doesn't fit the occasion…"

L—" I'll look for one to not rip open when you put it on."

J-" Just a white shirt and clean slacks would do the job."

L—" Sure. Be careful on the road. See ya there in one hour"

J-"Thank, pal! I owe one"

L–" Don't forget that on my birthday."

The call was cut as both chucked a bit, Josh accelerated as he was still far away from his friend's office and he didn't want to get there later than his friend.

~~ Back to Jack's apartment ~~

After the mini battle unfolded there Jack was making some tea in the kitchen whilst Jimeno and Teo stood on a corner of the living room seeing how Ramon was trying to mediate between Jake and Angello who yelled at each other every time they looked at each other.

Teo asked softly like a whisper to his friend, "Why are they so mad at each other?"

Jimeno let out a sigh, whispering into Teo's ear, "Angello kissed Jake"

"What!" The latter yelped, covering his mouth when Ramon turned his way.

"Something the matter?" He asked his brother who quickly shook his head in negation.

"I hope so" then he turned his attention back to Jake who refused to tell the reason for his frown.

"Would you tell me why you were screaming when you woke up?"

Jake glared at the feline man, eyes accusing him, "Ask that abusive employee you have there!"

Angello gasped, feeling offended, "Abusive? I was tryna help"

Whilst they kept their endless back and forth Teo decided to get information through a trustworthy source, "Why did he do that?", whispering, not getting why Angello would go that far with an unknown feeling like he was missing part of the story.

"Well, Jack made a comment when Angello was trying to wake him up with a cotton ball soaked in alcohol."

"What sort of comment?"

"Well, Angello said: 'Why ain't he waking up already? We've tried everything', to which Jack answered with a dumb question: 'Don't pricess wake up when their prince kisses them?', I cracked up because it was a terrible idea to wake up a fainted dude with a kiss. Before we could come up with a real plan Angello was bending over to kiss the kid. His lips landed right on the boy's and seconds later the kid kissed him back by moving his lips over Angello's and when he tried to pull away the kid clung onto him by latching his arms around that silly cat's neck."

Teo listened carefully, covering his mouth as he was afraid if he were to take it out he might be noisy again, whilst Jimeno continued retelling the story.

"So Angello bit his lip, I think it was for him to let him go, that was the moment the kid opened his eyes and started yelling out."

"Dear Lord.. what happened then?"

"Both were like two apples in a tree! That was fun and kinda cute, it might've not been anticipated but I think the kid liked it because they can't even stare at each other's face now without getting their defenses up."

Jimeno aimed at the guys who just screamed at each other nonsense as if they were in a rap battle barely taking a break to breathe, although one might think their red face due to the lack of air only few would know the reason behind it.

"Hush! I can't hear a thing if you talk over each other. What did you do to him to get like that?"

Ramon straight up asked his old friend with a serious expression as he was done with their cries.

The feline man spoke bluntly, "I was tryna help him to–"

However, he was cut off by Jack stepping in with a tray of tea and cookies who spoke calmly, "-to wake up by kissing him", he finished by setting it on the tea table.

"You did what, bro?" Ramon asked stunned, yet one could sense how it cracked at the end as if he were feeling betrayed.

"It was just a peck"

Jake's face flared up in flames, yelling over the top of his lungs standing up in a rush, "A peck?! That wasn't just a 'peck'!"

"It was a peck. You turned it into something else, not me."

"I was sleeping! How could you say I started this?"

"You were sleeping? Didn't you faint?"
