The King

Souta and Akiko headed to the Vertigo which was a place where some of the Adventurers in Aramoor dined "That's why I told you to take it a bit easy, but you didn't listen" while scolding Souta on his act of recklessness a strange man came to their table and sat with them

"Sorry sorry" Souta apologised while laughing nervously "but whatever that was, it wasn't normal" his facial expression instantly changed

"Will you tell Hina about it" Akiko asked

"Nah, I wouldn't want her to get worried" souta sighed "plus knowing her she'd probably limit my raids" he laughed nervously "Thank you"

"For what" Akiko stared in confusion

"For fixing me up"

*creeeek* the door to the dinner slowly opened

"Mr. Masuda" Souta shouted after seeing him, Akiko was confused about whom that was and how he was related to Souta she couldn't help but ask. Souta briefly explains how Masuda was a member of The Crimson Demons and that he met him when he went raiding with them a few weeks ago.

"But I didn't know that guild members on your level dien here" Souta revealed

Masuda laughed for a few seconds "I come her sometimes helps me get away from the guilds stress buy that's not why I'm here today" he paused "it seems has though my guild master has requested to see you" He replied which caused Souta to panic yet wonder why one of the top guilds in Aramoor would want to see him.

The next day Souta tells Hina about his meeting with the leader of The Crimson Demons and requested permission to go, though she was a bit wary after the incident with Hayato she still let him go but insisted that he takes Akiko with him

"It's huuuuge" he said as he stared at the building "should be about the same height as the adventures guild". He and Akiko made their way to the front door where they were both welcomed by female beast people who were dressed up as maids.

a best girl with blonde hair and fox like features approached them "This way" she said in a low tone and escorted them to the leader of the Crimson Demons office.

"Big sister!!!" Souta ran towards Mai

"Well if it isn't Souta" she smirked "how've you been"

Akiko became confused since she was seeing Mai, a tall female with short red hair, armor on some parts of her body and a dark cloak, for the first time.

"Ummm Souta if you had a big sister here why aren't you in this guild" she asked. Souta laughed a bit and deciphered that Mai wasn't actually his sister, she just loved him addressing her that way. Suddenly the whole place fell quiet and a man putting on an armor designed with the fur of a dungeon beast and the head of a lion carved on its chest walked in. From the vibe he gave off Souta and Akiko could tell that he was the guild master, in less than a second everybody cleared from the room leaving only Souta and Akiko with the with him.

"So you're the Souta ay, my name is Ichiwaka Kuro guild master of the Crimson Demons" he stated, Souta already looked at him with a glimmer in his eyes because of how cool the crimson demons guild master was.

"So what business does the leader of the highest guild in Aramoor want with me" Souta asked

"oh that's quite simple actually, I want him to join my guild" he revealed without hesitation.

Souta thanks him for being so kind as to go out of his way to give them such an opportunity but he refused the offer and began to leave. He stopped Souta halfway giving him another offer which was to raid with them for 1 week and see if that changes his mind, he would also be paid for the time wasted and if that wasn't enough to convince him then he can go his way.

"Tch it isn't a bad offer" Souta stroked his chin "How much are we talking about"

"10 million lev"

"What now Souta" Akiko stared at him

after a long hard thought he accepted the offer

It was 7 in the morning Souta and Akiko arrived at the adventurers guild, the moment they entered every single person was talking about them while giving them dirty looks

"is that him"

"yeah the C-Rank adventurers that got recruitedby the Crimson Demons"

"He must have some connections"

some people at the adventurers guild murmured

"Ai guess what, I'm heading to the 25th floor today" he jumped in excitement as he kept rambling on and on about how excited he was.

"That's good for you Souta" she smiled before pulling Akiko close "keep him safe" she stared Akiko dead in the eyes

"You don't have to tell me Twice" Akiko gave Ai a thumbs up

Throughout the raid he watched the other adventurers display different skills and techniques he had never seen before both in magic, sword arts and many more when suddenly three minotaurs showed up "greetings humans" the tallest minotaur spoke.

"A monster"

"Speaking human language" the party members murmured

"Again except this time they speak" Souta thought to himself. He quickly orders the rest of the members to get back.

"What's wrong Souta" Akiko asked

"If I'm not wrong they should be simil---" he paused "worse than the one we battled a few weeks ago "What do you want" Souta asked one of the Minotaur's who looked like he would be their king.

"That is not your concern, come quietly and no one has to die" the king stated when Suddenly, one of the members of the crimson demon started rambling about the king being a low-level monster and that Souta was trying to make them leave so he can ki and have all the crystals for himself.

"Peasants should be quiet when their king is still talking" one of the minotaurs said cutting him in half using a long sword and told the king that it was a waste of time trying to reason with them.

"Perhaps you're right" he sighed "kill them" the king snapped his finger. One of the minotaurs appeared behind Akiko about to take her head off but is kicked by Souta which sent him flying into a wall, he becomes greatly enraged due to the fact that he was being disgraced in front of his king but before he could move his head had already been chopped off by Souta.

"What's this I was expecting a little more excitement " Mai wiped the blood off her hands using a handkerchief "what a waste of time"

The king, Souta and Akino stared only to see that Mai had killed the second Minotaur without stress

"If you want something done right do it yourself" the king murmured as he slowly walked towards them
