"Don't die Souta" Mai yawned
"You're leaving me to handle this by myself" he screamed in a state of shock
"You bet" she slapped him on his back "now focus, here he comes"
The king of the Minotaur sent his blade crashing down on the ground which sent a shock wave towards Souta but he managed to leap out of the way. The king gives a loud shriek and tosses his ax at Souta
"Spirit of Stone" Akiko placed her palm on the ground causing a huge wall made of stone which stopped the ax from hitting Souta.
The king instantly took notice of Akiko and charges towards her only to be blown backwards by Akiko wind magic; she gathered as much mana as she could "Ol flames, come forth and destroy my enemies; FIREBALL!!!" she chanted a spell which launched an explosive attack.
She wasn't too sure if it worked due to the cloud of smoke from the explosion blocking her view; suddenly the king appears behind her. "I got careless" she murmured and tried to use magic but is a few seconds late and ends up receiving a huge blow to her midsection which sent her flying.
The king picks up his blade and dashed towards her but was greeted by Souta who landed multiple punches on the kings stomach and summed it all up with an upper cut which launched the king up in the air.
"I'm not done yet" he smirked as he struck his fist into the ground causing little piece of boulders to pop up. He quickly began to run up each of the stones as fast as he could "with this it's all over" he said with full confidence as he hopped on each of the stone when accidentally he missed a step "Fool" Akiko said with a sarcastic expression on her face as she watched him crash back to the ground.
The king finally regained consciousness and charged towards Souta, before Souta could realize what had happened the king was right in front of him ready to strike, suddenly his blade was deflected by Mai's who used the opportunity to land a blow on the king cracking 3 of his ribs in the process pushing him a bit backward
"Thought you wanted me to take care of it" he stared at her with a sarcastic expression
"Sitting in the corner was just so booooorrrriiiinnggg" she groaned
"What are you a child" Akiko asked
"Anyways forget about that let's focus on our current problem" she stated while releasing a massive amount of mana
"Yes, Big sister" Souta replied picking up his dagger. Using the Spirit of Light spell, Akiko whips Souta back into shape. Souta and Mai charged towards the king who gave a loud roar before sending its huge blade down on the both of them.
Mai quickly appeared behind him kicked him behind the and continued the same style of attack till the king became enraged
About to launch another quick attack, the king appeared behind Mai when out of no where, "Please don't ignore me" Souta smirked before he landing a punch so powerful it sent the king straight into a wall.
"Big Sister" Souta pulled her behind a rock
"SPIRIT OF LIGHT" Akiko chanted renderingthe kings sight completely useles but that alone was not enough as the mad King kept raging and destroying everything in his path
"JUST DIE ALREADY!!" Souta screamed from behind the rock he and Mia hid "Shit he probably heard me"
The half-dead king gave his final battle cry, due to its lack of vision, it charged toward the rock the hid behind using its horns, Mai gave a vile smirk summoning her sword Aetherius a huge blade which emitted a huge amount of energy so menacing the king came to a halt.
"What's that" Souta stared in amazement
"I don't know but from what I can tell, shecould have easily but probably wanted to show off and right now-----" Akiko placed her palm on the floor and created a stone wall "---all we can do is take cover"
"Pay close attention Souta, this is how powerful your big sister is" Mai smirked.
[The 12 symphonies which is a sword an ability granted to the wielder of Atherius, it is a weapon of mass destruction depending on which symphony is played and the amount of mana put into every symphony.]
"First play, Symphony No. 41…. Mozart" she chanted as her sword created and launched a spherical energy ball into the chest of the King which caused a massive explosion reducing the King to nothing but ashes.
"You're amazing big sister" Souta screamed
"I know right" she laughed with a smug look on her face
"What the hell are you feeling so dang happy about when you just destroyed part of the 25th floor" Kuro asked after hitting Mai at the back of her head, she fell to her knees and quickly began to apologize.
"Do not use that blade inside the dungeon, understand?"
"Yes" Mai murmured
After the whole incident was over Souta begged to teach him how to become a pro in hand-to-hand combat, Mai gladly accepts his offer while Akiko tired from all that just happened decided to head back to the guild.
*A Few hours later*
Souta screamed charging towards Mai trying to land a punch on her but misses every single one, feeling enraged he charges towards and punches her but Mai blocks the punch with her arm. Quickly shifting her weight to the back of her foot she rotates her body hard and executed a counter punch which caused Souta to fall to the ground, he gets up again and tries attacking using a roundhouse kick only for him to get his leg caught and his other leg swept off the ground.
"It's impossible, I can't beat you" Souta sighed
"Don't stress, you'll get better the more you practice in the mean time-----" her stomach growled "let's go eat shall we"
"Yea big sister" Souta laughed

A group of people were gathered around a table
"Another failure, is this how you intend to keep going" a masculine voice asked "The longer we wait the more powerful he'll become, then what"
but no response came from the others
"Tch" he stood up and walked out on the rest of them
