SAM's POV

when he finally let go of me, I was able to let out a deep shaky breath, feeling like my breathing came back to its normal function.

Oh Diyos ko! I thought sasabog na sa nerbyos ang puso ko!

Good thing Mason had interrupted, sobbing like a baby in his sleep.

"I hate you...I hate.." he mumbled before he became silent again. Siguro tulog na.

I didn't move and never looked at his way.

I don't know if I can face him right now with my face as red as a rotten tomato. Oh no, no, no... Nakakahiya! Bakit ko pa kaasi sinabi 'yon?!

I heard him cleared his throat before he talked.

"Y-You can come with me----I mean—" he coughed out before he continued. "--you can take Mason inside. I-I'll go in now." Then without waiting for my response, agad na itong pumasok sa loob without even looking back at me. Not that I wanted him to do that and witness how flushed I was right now.

Nang tuluyan na itong nakapasok, I quickly leaned against the wall saka padausdos ng umupo sa sahig malapit sa lasing na Captain.

I didn't know I'd be this weak just with his closeness!

Oh Sam! Parang may mali na sa'yo.....

Napabuga na lamang ako ng hininga as I blankly stared at the wall across.

Mga ilang oras na ang nakakalipas after what happened to us outside Mr. Del Fuero's hotel room. At mga ilang oras na rin ang nakakalipas but still, I couldn't sleep a wink with my mind kept thinking back about that incident.

After I've calmed down my heart earlier, I decided to get inside as well with some drunk captain with me. Sa bigat nito, I've no choice but to drag him inside with great effort. Pagkatapos kong maglagay ng mga bedsheets at maihiga ito sa sahig malapit sa paanan ng kama ng gago nitong kaibigan, my sweats kept falling like waterfalls as if I had made a 50 rounds around Canada.

Fortunately, the bastard Del Fuero didn't even offered a help and just slept peacefully at his bed.

Naway bangungutin sana ito sa pagtulog nito!

I turned to my right side and faced his bed with him sleeping on it.

Kakainggit naman ito, parang wala lang talaga sa kanya ang nangyari kanina whereas me, nagmumukha ng zombie rito sa kakaisip sa mga nangyari!

I glanced up at the wall clock hanged above his bed.

3:32am.

I groaned and then shut my eyes, trying so hard to keep my mind free from any thoughts about his face kept appearing in my head.

Kailangang kong makatulog ngayon so that I won't appear like a zombie who just came out from a Hollywood movie tomorrow.

At yon nga, after a few minutes of trying hard, I succeed and drifted off to my deep slumber.

I woke up with my back sore, clogged nose and I felt like I have swallowed a whole truck of sands yesterday.

I cleared my throat then got up on my feet with groggy feeling.

I noticed that no more drunk captain sleeping at the floor and the bastard del Fuero was nowhere to be found around. Parang hindi man lang tinulugan ang kama nito kagabi dahil ni gusot, wala kang mapapansin dito with how kempt it was.

I'm pretty sure he'd got up too early today and then shoved himself in his work right away.

I noticed the sun rays were now peeking through the curtain at the terrace, lighting the room.

Mukhang magiging maganda ang panahon ngayon ah...

I yawned and then with still sleepy eyes, I glanced up at the clock on the wall then froze.

"T-Ten fucking a.m???!"

I've bloody slept that long??! Damn! Buti naman at nagising pa'ko sa lagay na'to!

Kahit na medyo masama ang pakiramdam ko, I still tried to hastily run to the shower room then do what every women in the earth do every morning with their selves.

It's fucking ten in the morning at hindi ko alam kung nasaan na ang dalawang gagong kasama ko rito kagabi.

Agad ko ng binilisang maligo, towel dried myself then quickly got out before headed to the shopping bags beside the couch. Dahil hindi naman masyadong maginaw ang panahon ngayon, I think I'd go for my usual outfit today.

I quickly wore my Bra, panty, gray shirt and I was just about to wear my black jeans nang biglang tumunog ang telepono na nasa mesa beside Del Fuero's bed.

Inilagay ko na muna sa may upuan ang jeans ko and then with just my underwear and upper clothes, I quickly ran to the telephone and then answered the damn call.

"Hello----"

"Samantha!"

I flinched and quickly remove the phone away from my ears when that familiar earsplitting-roaring-tiger voice greeted me.

Oh no.. Nakalimutan ko palang tawagan si auntie kahapon. Now I'm in deep shit!

Anong oras na ba ngayon sa Pilipinas? I think twelve hours yong time difference ng Pilipinas at Canada, so this means it's almost midnight there now.

Biting my lower lip, I put the phone back to my ear.

"Hey, Auntie! What's up??"

"Wag mo'kong i-whaz-up whaz-up diyan bata ka huh! Kahapon pa'ko tawag ng tawag sa'yo but you're out of reach!! What in God's name are you doing there in Canada??! Nahihibang ka na ba talaga, Samantha???"

"Aunt, can you please listen to me first? May---"

"No! Let me talk to you first and 'YOU' should listen to me!"

I let out a tormented groan and then blew out an exasperated sigh.

"Okay, fine. I'll listen." I gave in. Knowing na tiyak namang hindi niya 'ko hahayaang magpalusot na naman which I had really planned to do.

"Ano tong naririnig ko that you are with someone named Cameron del Fuero right now, Samantha? The same del Fuero who own the Del Fuero Construction company! Oh my Goodness, Samantha!"

Agad na tumaas ang kilay ko dahil dun. With the tone of her voice suddenly change into something like-- amazed? Excited?

Tsk. Tsk. I think there's something wrong with her.

And wait----

Why the hell did aunt know about me being here with del Fuero? Don't tell me Liam had opened his big mouth again when aunt had asked him with my whereabouts??

"Auntie, can you please let me explain first? May kailangan lang---"

"What? Ano naman yan? That you just have to do this and that because it was part of your new case again??No! Sagutin mo muna ang tanong ko! Why are you with that man right now? Ano?! Hindi mo gustong ireto kita sa mga anak ng kaibigan ko dahil mas gusto mong makipagtanan sa pesteng gwapong mayaman na yan?! Sagutin mo nga'ko bata ka!"

I scowled when she had suddenly asked that.

I think I need to stop her now bago pa umabot sa buntisan at kasalan ang usapan na'to. Aunt could be like that kung gugustuhin nya.

"Auntie Rose. I think you have to hear me out now---"

"Para ano? Para iwasan ang mga tanong ko and just let me die here in curiosity?! Sagutin---"

"If you won't hear me out now aunt, then I think mas mabuti pang mag-usap nalang tayo pag-uwi ko diyan. You know, I still have to prepare for something---"

"No! Wag na wag mo'kong bababaan bata ka dahil kukurutin ko talaga yang singit mo pagkadating mo rito!"

Wala akong ibang nagawa kundi bumuntong hininga na lamang and just leaned my hips against the edge of the bedside table beside me, tamping my feet with impatience while biting the insides of my cheeks.

Okay. I'll just let her do all the talking for now at hayaan na muna itong ilabas lahat ng mga pagtatampo niya sa'kin.

CAMERON's POV

'A new progress of the case. Call me when you're back. ~M'

I hastened my steps with my clutch in my suitcase tightened when again, I thought back about that text.

Kakagaling ko lang sa last business meeting ko rito with my client here and I am heading now to my hotel suite.

Mga ilang oras na ang nakakalipas mula ng matanggap ko ang text message na'yon and it's been hours now as well na hindi ako mapakali dahil dun. Add to the fact that Enriquez was accusing me as someone who were responsible for his failure with Izuki's contract.

The bastard! He had really dared to drag my name into his mess! But to hell with him, ayoko munang isipin ang bagay na 'yon because I have something more important to think about now.

For almost five years of searching and reinvestigating my father's case nang wala man lang progress na nangyayari, ngayon lang ako naging balisa ng ganito, so damn excited with that progress my trusted lawyer had texted.

I just hope na magandang balita 'yon and that he had gathered an information that could make this investigation move.

I blew out a breath and then gritted my teeth as I was reminded with the case.

After my father died, my life became a complete mess. Kailangan kong harapin lahat ng mga issue na ibinabato ng media laban sa kanya--that he was the main suspect of killing that woman in a hotel and eventhough it wasn't proved in the court years ago, it had already tarnished our name's reputation.

That woman.....

I heaved up a deep breath when I suddenly thought about that woman as the clenching of my teeth tightened.

That woman who made Enriquez despised me now. The reason why he had become my arch enemy today.

I was may not be that close to my father but I know he'd never do such thing as killing people. He was strict. Yes. But I just know him so well that killing some woman wasn't his doing.

I don't know why he was with her that time at a hotel suite pero ang alam ko lang, matagal na silang magkakilala.

I quickly shook that thoughts off and hastened up my steps towards the door of my hotel suite.

I have no time for that now and I have to go back to the Philippines ASAP. Pero bago ang lahat, kailangan ko munang gisingin ang isang tigreng nakikitira dito sa silid ko.

Just the thought of her made me cursed out under my breath as I was being reminded with the event occurred last night.

Isa pa ang tigreng babaeng yon! Dumadagdag pa sa mga iisipin ko! I think I have to end our contract now before I'd strangle her to death. I don't want someone na makikialam sa'kin at mas lalong ayokong may taong gumugulo sa buhay ko and even making me want to just grab her and then----

What, Cameron? Grab her and then what? Kiss her and then make a fool of yourself? Hindi ka pa nahihibang para gawin ang bagay na'yon! She was just some pest of your life so just forget about whatever weird feelings you have for her!

When my mind berated that, I mentally nodded in agreement.

Right. She was just that at kailangan ko ng layuan ang babaeng 'yon before she'll mess up everything. Especially my sanity!

I halted in front of my room door when her words suddenly replayed in my head, causing me to let out a tormented groan and tightly squeezed my eyes out.

Kagabi pa'ko pinahihirapan ng babaeng 'yon with her saying that. More so when her halfnaked form kept replaying in my mind and making the torture too painful to bear. Halos hindi na'ko makatulog with her just a few fucking steps away from my grasp! And add to the fact she snores like a man!

Kung humilik, daig pa ang machong wrestler na kagagaling lang sa matinding training!

Kailangan ko na nga talagang layuan ang babaeng yon before I'd do something that I'll surely regret later.

Huminga muna ako ng malalim and then opened my eyes.

Hindi dapat umabot sa ganun ang lahat.

With determined look, I quickly took hold of the door knob, twisted it then pushed it open.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay, aunt. Tapos na po ba kayo?"

I heard her asked that with bored voice.

Hmm, buti naman gising na ang babaeng 'to. That way, makakauwi na agad kami. I've already informed Mason to prepare the plane for our trip back to our homeland.

Without looking inside, agad na'kong pumasok. I shut the door and then I was about to head to my bed but I halted. I halted with my steps as well as my breathing doing the same when I finally took in the view inside.
