Chapter 2

Time continued to pass and all I did was hum different songs because my memory was never good and I don't know the lyrics.

That kept me sane, and I was thankful to 'myself' for helping 'myself'.

After an unknown amount of time passed, I saw a bright dot. Slowly but surely, I drifted closer to it.

At long last when I made it there, I saw what appeared to be a universe. I was astounded by how beautiful it was. Then I realized below that universe were branches that lead to another universe. As I drifted closer and closer to that vast universe I kind of bounced back and slowly but surely drifted away.

However, when I bounced off, I saw a planet where a bunch of girls were playing music.

Now that I got a closer look, they do seem familiar. As I drifted away, I went through my fading memories, and I came across an anime that was called K-ON.

Now that I remember they did look like those girls from K-On as well as the music I heard from them.

Well, that was entertaining to watch even though it was simply a short glimpse.

As time went on, I saw another dot on which I assumed was a universe. However, this universe was on a branch and not on the top.

As I bumped into it, I got glimpses of what was going on in this universe.

This universe was the universe of Angel Beats and I got to listen to entertaining music. Watching things unfold was entertaining.

I slowly drifted away entertained. As time went by, another universe came into view. I was ecstatic.

All I did was hum all the time. Although it didn't tire, me it does get repetitive.

As I drew closer to the universe connected to the branch, I bumped into it. What I saw entranced me for a while.

What I saw was the wildest, craziest, and most mysterious circus I have ever seen. Not like I have ever been to a circus though. What I saw left a deep mark on me as I drifted away.

As I slowly drifted by humming, I was starting to accept this kind of life. I quite enjoyed watching things unfold without interfering, but I would like to help a bit on the side that I deemed good, I guess.

As I started humming All by My Self, a bright light shined in front of me, and an old man stepped out holding a wooden staff.

He looked at me and brought me along. I just floated along with the old man too stunned to do anything.

He brought me to a comfortable cottage, and he sat down seemingly waiting for me to get out of my stupor.

I quickly got out of my stupor and looked at him warningly and with a bit of hostility. I snarled at him and said,

???- "Who are you and what do you want!?!?!"

???- "I am just a ROB. I was passing by and happened to come across you."

A ROB??? I wondered what that is. I tried to search my fading memories and came across the term ROB (Random Omnipotent Being). I was stunned. Do they exist???!!!!

ROB- "Now child, care to explain what you were doing in the void."

My wariness decreased a bit, but I was still wary of him.

???- "I don't remember… it has been a long time…"

The Rob just looked at me in pity and then sighed.

ROB- "Child since you have suffered, I shall grant you six wishes."

I was instantly worried if it was all just for his entertainment.

???- "Is there a catch or something? Are you going to use me for your entertainment? Do I have to sign something that binds me to something?"

I fired off these questions at him not fully trusting him.

ROB- "No child I am not like those other ROBS. Some use your kind as a sort of entertainment and others out of kindness. Although we have the same power, we like to differentiate ourselves. I like to be a Pastor ROB herding sheep all day long."

I was still wary of him not trusting him. I asked one more time.

???- "Are you sure you won't do anything to me???"

He just smiled kindly.

ROB- "No child what I offer you is no joke at all. I speak nothing but the truth. I even swear it on my omnipotence."

After hearing those words, a flood of emotions just barrels out of me. I started crying relieved that this was true although no tears came out because I have no eyes.

The loneliness was always there, but my humming kept me sane.

The ROB just smiled kindly and soothed my soul with a warm light.

After that, he waited patiently for me to get better and state my wishes. I felt better after that.

???- "Thank you. Now for my first wish, I would like to be reincarnated into the Arifureta world. Also, I would like to keep all my memories. Also, make me handsome to the point of being hard to differentiate between a girl and a boy with silver hair and starry eyes. I would be born to a loving and rich family where they spoil me rotten, and I would join the MC in the same high school, and I would be childhood friends with him. Also, can you give me perfect memory?"

The ROB gave me a troubled smile.

ROB- " Slow down child. That is too much for one wish. However, as an exception, I'll see to it. Also, that may take two wishes because the concept magic in that world is too troublesome for us."

I hesitated for a bit but in the end, I still nodded. So now I have four wishes left.

???- "Now for my second wish, I wish for the knowledge of music. By that I mean how to sing, dance, play any genre, and any instrument. The knowledge is from all the worlds. Doesn't matter what region, just all of it. Also, I would easily compose my music and know all the music lyrics in all the worlds. Also, I would play like no other. The best of the best in anything music-related."

ROB- "It is done."

???- "Now for my third wish, I wish for a space where I can make the wackiest craziest and most mysterious circus in all the worlds. I would have all the knowledge to do that and the courage as well. That space would be connected to me."

ROB- "It is done."

???- "Now for my fourth wish, I wish for a magicule breeder reactor where I can control the energy perfectly."

He nods as he approves.

???- "Now for my final wish, I wish to be able to travel the multiverse or different worlds once I collect all the concept magic in that world."

ROB sighs and agrees.

ROB- "Child choose a name since you seem to have forgotten yours."

I hesitate for a bit and ask him to give it to me.

ROB- "Very well you will now be called Ains Bellinor."

I smile and agree with the name.

ROB- "Now go child and have a happy life."

I disappear into that world.

ROB- "That poor child drifting in the void for thousands of years. His memories were fading, and he even forgot who he was in his past life. I hope that this doesn't affect you in the life you are about to be born into. I truly hope you have a happy life, Joshua…"
