Gambit exhaled sharply, his eyes locking onto Barnabas. He instantly sensed something had gone very wrong and could only respond with a grimace.
"I see, you have betrayed me," he assumed, and Barnabas replied with a subtle nod.
"Why do you want to destroy everything in the Safezone?" Barnabas went straight to the point. It wasn't that he cared about the people there, but Gambit's motivation had always been a mystery to him. He recalled the detest on Gambit's face whenever they discussed the Safezone, but now, the expression seemed almost... satisfied?
"Are you working with the vampire?" Gambit laughed aloud before continuing, "If you were in my shoes, you would do the same."
