"IZUKU! IZUKU, WAKE UP!!! It's TIME FOR FISHING. I even have money with me. Izuku. Izuku. Izuku. Wake up!" screamed a blue-haired girl in front of the bed of a green-haired teen who was currently trashing in his bed.
It was not the first time Nejire had done something like that to him, but it still annoyed him to this day.
"Oh, come on, Nejire! It's only 6 AM! I was awake until midnight! Let me sleep for at least one more hour."
"Ehhh, no way. Come on, wake up!" Nejire said before a green-haired woman came into the room and pulled her out of it.
"Come on. I make you some breakfast, Nejire. Let him sleep for one more hour." Inko said to the over-excited girl in front of her with a smile.
Nejire pouted but still left with Izuku's mother down the stairs.
Exactly one hour later, Nejire was once again in the room of Izuku and screamed at him to wake up.
Izuku, knowing she wouldn't stop, just threw his legs over the edge of his bed and stood up with a frown on his face.
"Come on. Today is fishing day! Smile a bit more." Nejire said to her grumpy friend.
Izuku was never much of a morning person compared to Nejire, who stood up daily full of energy and a massive smile.
"Yes. Yes. Just let me change clothes, and I'll come down." He said to the excited, jumpy girl who was floating in his room with golden spirals coming out of her hands and feet.
It took her years, but she could finally fly with her quirk after many hours of training.
"Okay! I give you five minutes! If you are not down until then, I will come back up!" She said before floating out of his room.
"Five minutes..." He thought to himself before he stood up and went to brush his teeth. After that, he closed his door with a key and changed his clothes. It was lucky he closed it since he heard someone banging on his door right in the middle of it.
"Come on, Izuku!" He heard Nejire scream before Izuku's mother brought her back down again.
It took two more minutes until Izuku came out of his room door and slowly walked down to the living room.
Arriving there, he could already see Nejire and his mother with smiles on their faces.
He could see that his mother had a hard time suppressing her laughter looking at him.
She really liked Nejire and was happy that her son had such a good friend.
'Hopefully, even something more in the future!' Inko thought to herself while looking at Nejire, who was currently flying around Izuku while fussing about his clothes.
"Breakfast and money are on the table. I have to work today, so I can't go fishing with you, but have fun. Tell me what you have got after your trip. Good Luck. I hope you can get something to enable your dream to be a hero." Inko said to the two of them before leaving through the front door.
"You really have a good mother, Izuku. She even works on Weekends only for your quirk!" Nejire said to Izuku with a smile.
"I know," Izuku answered with a smile before entering the eating room only to put his breakfast in his inventory.
"Let's go. I eat on the way there." Izuku said to Nejire with a smile.
...…
~ Half an hour later. ~
When the two of them finally arrived in front of the beach, they couldn't help but frown at the condition of the beach itself.
Izuku already told her that the sea currents brought trash to the shore of the beach, but the main reason for there being so much trash is also because the people living near here brought their trash here to save some money.
"That's disgusting. Why can't people throw away their things normally? As if the costs are that expensive." Nejire exclaimed.
"I don't understand either. Anyway, let's go to that boardwalk over there to fish." Izuku said before pointing at the boardwalk near where they were.
Arriving there, they even saw the trash piling up on the wooden boardwalk.
It made no sense that even there was trash since the water didn't reach there, but they didn't care anymore and walked out only to sit together at the end of the boardwalk with their feet down, almost reaching into the water.
In the next moment, Izuku pulled out the lucky potion that he had got the last time by fishing and drowned it instantly.
It was only a tiny vial of the stuff, but it should hold on for some hours. Now, Izuku once again turned to Nejire and looked at Nejire with a questioning look.
"Oh, Right. Here! Here are some of my savings and also the money I got through the Hero Agency Internship I went to some months ago! By the way, Ryukyu also invited me to come next year, so we will probably not see each other in U.A. when you start! But don't worry, it is only for some months, and we will also see each other at home!" She exclaimed happily while pushing 973.075 Yen, which is around 6000$, into Izuku's hand.
Usually, it would be more, but Nejire also gave her parents some money since they didn't have that much at home.
"So one advanced and 2 Intermediate?" Izuku asked.
"Nonono. I know the advanced are only discounted for the first five times, so don't bother. Just give me 12 Intermediate." Nejire answered.
"Nonsense, I gift you one of them anyway. We are friends. Don't forget that." Izuku said before pulling out his fishing rod and instantly casting out two Intermediate baits.
Nejire just looked at him thoughtfully for the next few minutes and decided today was the day.
She didn't want to wait anymore.
Now that he was finally fourteen years old, she could finally act. Even though she still wanted to wait for a bit, she didn't bother anymore.
She didn't want to regret it in the future that she hadn't asked him early enough.
'Later.' She thought to herself with a smile.
She was sure he would accept.
