Chapter 6 - 1 year later

Inside of a car moving on the highway, in the back seat of the car, sat a white haired blue eyed kid who looked to be around 6 to 7-years old, that kid was none other than me.

It's been a year since I had awakened my quirk and a lot of stuff happened since then, that day I broke my hand, and it was pretty bad to say the least, and as expected my parents freaked out when they knew that I blew a hole through an iron wall and broke my hand, they immediately rushed me to the hospital.

And as it turned out, my bones were broken from the inside out, which mean that my hand didn't break because I punched an iron wall, but instead because my body was too weak to handle the sudden release of the explosive energy and the shockwave it generated, since the body of 5-year-old was too weak to handle this much energy.

The estimate time to my recovery was 2 months, but with the help of friends of my parents, it only took one week, and after the I was grounded for two weeks and wasn't allowed to use my quirk. But on the other hand I made a lot progress during this past year, while thinking till here I glanced at the system screen Infront of me.

description: Mana is the highest form of energy in existence, every other type of energy in the world are just branches that were born from Mana.

Skills:

-Mana Manipulation {Level 4} : host can use the mana inside of him to enhance his body, or release the mana out of his mana pores, and control it and change its form however the host wishes (the higher the level of the skill, the more mana the host can control, and the more control he have over it).

-Mana Change {Level 2} : the mana is the source of all things and every type of energy in the universe are derived from it, so for every type of energy the host understand, the host can replicate it and use that energy special probertites (the higher the level of the skill, the more complicated the energy the host can replicate).

2-LOCKED: The Condition Requirements Have Not Been Met]

This last year, I learned a lot more about my Quirk, turn out that mana works by intent, it do whatever I intend it to do, when I made a cut across my hand and tried to heal it with mana, it nature changed to that of healing energy, but the catch is that it only works inside my body, when I tried it on kazuki after he made a small cut on his hand, nothing happened, it was like the energy disappeared once it entered his body, so unless I acquire a healing Quirk, I won't be able to heal others.

My [Mana Manipulation] also had advanced and reached level 4, and now I can control the mana more freely, I can make my mana take on simple forms, like a sword or a spear, although it's limited only to one at a time, and they break after 4-5 hits, but this is still an obvious improvement, and the higher my level becomes, the more weapons I'll be able to make and the studier they'll become.

And my second skill [Mana Change] was even better, after studying kazuki's quirk for a year, it reached level 2, and I was able to make a lot of progress, and I also discover that his quirk had a lot of untapped potential. kazuki's barrier can be deployed vertically or horizonly, so I tried deployeing it horizonly, and then I made it thinner and to spin as fast as possible, like that I was able to create something similar to a buzz saw, and it was able to cut through iron walls easily. This also solved kazuki's problem, since the reason he wasn't able to enter the heroes top 10 list before he retired was that he didn't have any offensive skills.

and I was also able to figure a way out to increase my MP capacity, apparently when the MP are regenerating, the MP capacity also slowly increase, but when the MP are full, they don't, so I started training it by releasing 2MP each second, and since the MP regenerative rate is 1MP each second, I was able to increase my MP capacity Quickly, although the original purpose of the exercise was to increase my control over mana, but I yielded unexpected results.

The last thing I discovered was a way to strengthen my body, after the incident, I realized that my body was too weak, and that even if I grow up, I don't think it'll be able to handle charging it with more than 500MP, it's just that the human body is too weak to handle that kind of strength, so after searching for a solution, I remembered that in my past life, some cultivation novels talked about refining the body using something called 'Qi' and using it to strengthen their bodies, so I tried the same method, by releasing mana from my mana pores and breathing it through my nose, the mana was carried by my blood cells along side the oxygen and was given to the cells in my body as nutrients, using this method my body became much tougher and resilient and I became more handsome and as tall as an 8-year-old , and I can also enhance my senses for longer period time without much discomfort.

Though not everything went peacefully in the past year, for some reason nejire started acting weird after I returned from the hospital, she became more reserved and shy and doesn't like to stay alone with me, so I asked kazuki to investigate the matter, and from what he learned from nejire's dairy, that sometime after I returned from the hospital, in school, nejire's friends had a talk about love, and when she was asked who she liked from the class, she realized she soesn't feel any attraction toward any of her classmates, but instead she thought of me.

I know that kazuki looking through her dairy wasn't a good thing but I had to know what's wrong?, But now I'm glad he did, and it would be a lie to say I didn't see she had some fellings for me, but before her love was like 70% sibling's love, and 30% romantic love. in her dairy she said that unlike me, all the other kids in her class are immature, dumb, selfish, and annoying. and since I always acted more mature than my age should, she expected all the other boys to act the same way as I did, she also said that ever since she could remember I was always there for her when she needed me, and I gave her my sweets whenever my parents grounded her, and a lot more things that we did together, and that when she saw me laying on the hospital bed, and thought I was gonna die, she felt like her whole world was falling apart.

When I read till here I understood, so my sister fell in love with me , I tried to figure out what I did wrong, all the things I did for her was because I never had a sibling who genuinely loved me before, so I just wanted to show her how much I love her as a sister...Ok, maybe unconsciously I didn't love her as a sister, since I hace acrush on her when I wathced the show in my previous world, but I certainly didn't think of her like that in this life, I'm not a lolicon, my love for her was more like a bestfriend.

Will now that I thought about it maybe that was the reason?

after all nejire is still a little girl who just been exposed to the concept of love so maybe she was just confused by all the new feeling she felt for the first time, so I decided I'll give her some more time to sort out her feeling, and if she doesn't change her feeling then I'll think about this later.

Sigh~

letting a out sigh, I turned my head toward kazuki who was was driving the car.

"are you sure he's there today?"

"yes, young master, according to the schedule the people I sent to monitor his house send me, he should be there"

"good, it's been two days since we came here, I wanted to finish things here and return home as quickly as possible"

"yes, young master"

it's time to meet the second test subject.
