"What do you mean they are investigating The Speedwagon Foundation, sir?" Yoshimura asked, his voice low and his expression twisted into a fierce snarl. Today had not been a good day for Yoshimura, as he had already dealt with Class 1 – C and their constant questioning. Granted, it was what his class was about, but he was unable to further his teachings because of the questions.
It wasn't as if they were good questions, either. They were all stupid, and because they were stupid, he didn't want to re-think them. That was how much his brain hurt from all of that stupidity. Not only that but he had been given only four hours of sleep. He was glad he wasn't a part of the final exams for the practical, namely because he wasn't a pro hero. That, and his Stand was a one-shot attack. So it was considered unfair.
Pros of being a Government Agent, he guessed. Though, perhaps, not for much longer if what Jonathon was saying is true. What reason did the American Government have to investigate The Speedwagon Foundation? Did one of their branches smuggle Top Secret information and the whole organization was being impacted? If so, he highly doubted it.
"Hold on, Sugimoto. They aren't actually investigating. It's a ruse. However, the news will be reporting otherwise, and the buildings will be closed down until the end of the month. The President of The United States is trying to get his daughter back from The Yagi Clan. This is a precaution. So roll with it. I've already warned U.A. in advance, so they are in on it as well."
Sugimoto's heart nearly stopped. There was no way that The Yagi Clan was still around. The only Yagi he knew to be alive was All Might, and he was far removed from the Yakuza, so it hardly mattered if he was around or not. But the actual Yagi Clan… "I thought that when I was in my coma they were all killed by the rest of the Foundation. Did we miss one?"
"Yes… Taisuke. I thought I had killed him, but it appears as if I didn't. This is all technically my fault for not making sure I had truly killed him. Just like how All For One is still around, I screwed up, just like All Might did," Jonathon paused on the other end, sighing before continuing, his voice gaining a hint of determination. "But not this time. I will make sure that the bastard is put down once and for all. Once we ambush him at the location given to us, it will be the end of the road for Taisuke. I even brought Slow Dancer with me."
That… that was good. If Slow Dancer was there, that meant that Jonathon was coming prepared this time. Taisuke was a real piece of work. His Stand, if he remembered correctly, Mr. Blue Sky, was beyond anything that he had ever encountered before. It was strong, it was fast, and it had complete and total dominion of Time and Space. The kind of Stand that was truly horrible in the hands of a villain.
If it had been anyone else, then Yoshimura wouldn't have been worried. But seeing as Taisuke was its user, and seeing as it was as powerful as it was, he was still extremely nervous about fighting him again. It had taken everything in his power to try and so much as even get Taisuke to back away the last time he fought him. Even with Jonathon and supposedly Diego there, it was still going to be an uphill battle.
Although… "What if it's a trap, Jonathon? Did you ever consider that idea?" Yoshimura asked as Jonathon grunted on the other end.
"Believe me, after my initial call with Diego, we discussed the idea thoroughly. If it's a trap, which both myself and Diego believe to be the case, then we'll face it head-on. Besides, it's not like we can't take on whatever he decides to send against us. Can you really tell me that you're worried? Three seasoned Stand Users against one. It doesn't matter what this trap is, we'll face it head-on."
Yoshimura wanted to smack the man himself. But, he decided that even so much as saying anything to that was not worth his time. Jonathon, to a degree, had always been hopelessly optimistic. But then again, that was his charm, wasn't it? No matter the situation, he always saw the light at the end of the tunnel.
"Very well, sir… if that is what you have in mind, despite my better judgement, I'll follow along," Yoshimura said, as Jonathon chuckled on the other end of the phone.
"You're concerned, I can tell. Don't worry about a thing, Yoshimura. I have my faith in Diego and you. We will get Kyoka out of there, and we will avenge your friends from the Chinese Branch. This has been a long time coming, I assure you, everything will play out just fine."
Jonathon hung up, as Yoshimura frowned, his eyebrows knitting into a scowl as he turned from facing the wall to facing the window that overlooked the city that his building was situated in. It was none other than Yokohama Ward. He could see the address they were supposed to go to for this supposed meeting with Taisuke from where he stood, and it soured his expression even further.
It was a warehouse, sitting off by one of the many ports that led into the city. It had been abandoned for years due to poor structural quality. Yoshimura wasn't one to be doubtful of Jonathon, and with Tooru in his hibernation state, he couldn't bounce the idea that Jonathon had off of him. Right now, it was just him, his thoughts, and his fear of ever encountering Taisuke Yagi ever again.
"How do you plan to get yourself out of this one, Jonathon? Valentine out for revenge for his forefather that Gyro and Jouta Kujo killed was one thing, and his Stand was Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap. A Stand that, for all intents in purposes, was practically invincible. If you had a hard time with him, then what does that mean when we fight a truly invincible Stand User?"
Sometimes, Yoshimura wondered if Jonathon was truly a fool, or if he was just overconfident. He had been like that over a decade ago, and he paid for it. He thought that he could take on Taisuke Yagi, and he met a fate worse than death—trapped in his mind for a decade and forced to listen to the doctors tell everyone that he was a lost cause and that the only reason they kept him around was because of his net worth.
Now, he was placed between a rock and a hard place. Did he go along with what Jonathon wanted and needlessly risk his life? Or, did he be the coward he truly was and run away and leave his comrades to die?
His eyes narrowed as he stared out into the city. Something big was about to go down here. He knew that, and he knew that either way he would be dragged kicking and screaming into it. What he wondered, was just what exactly that big something was.
A historical event would go down in this city, and he had a feeling that it wouldn't be the last thing that he had the displeasure of watching. Yokohama was his city—his home. It had been that way ever since he had first woken up here. Ever since he escaped that hellhole that was China. As much as he wanted to run with his tail tucked between his legs, he had to protect these people.
He might not have been a Hero, but he was, at the end of the day, a member of The Speedwagon Foundation. And it was his duty to protect the people from the supernatural threats that plagued their day-to-day lives. That was what he signed up for. So, no matter how scared of Taisuke Yagi he was, Yoshimura Sugimoto was going to do what he was supposed to do and protect the people.
"Protect the people, huh?" A voice caught him off guard, as he whipped his head around to look in the direction of where it came from. What he saw made his eyes widen. It was a woman, with coral pink hair, wearing a white shirt with a pair of light blue overalls, white and pink striped socks, and black shoes. Her hair was done up in a bun, and she had a wide smile on her face. "That reminds me of the vow I made to the people of Morioh."
"You…" Yoshimura murmured, staring at Reimei Sugimoto, his expression baffled. "No, I… I should've expected a visit from you. After all, it is in your nature, is it not?"
In response, the ghost giggled. "I suppose. But if it wasn't for someone reminding me of that, I probably would've completely forgotten about the mortal world," Reimei said, sheepishly rubbing the back of her neck. "That aside, I'm glad that my family is still alive and well, and is still as virtuous as ever. I was a little worried that they had fallen into depravity after I died…"
Yoshimura snorted, crossing his arms. "I wouldn't say "still virtuous," but I digress," Yoshimura quipped, before sighing. "Although, I must wonder, just why is it that you decided to come visit me of all people. What did I do to deserve a visit from you, Reimei?"
Reimei shrugged, putting her arms behind her back. "Nothing really. I just wanted to see what it was you were up to. I haven't spoken to your daughter yet, and to be honest, I'm kind of nervous too. She looks so much like… him." As the ghost said that, she shuttered, before coughing into her hand. "But, from what I've seen of her, she doesn't seem to act like him, so that's good."
Yoshimura nodded, glancing over his shoulder back out to the city of Yokohama once more, then back at Reimei. "I would hope so. She might have the same Stand as Yoshikage, but it's clear that she's a different person, even if she has some of his mannerisms. But, even then, so did Yoshikawa, and her father. It must be a genetic trait."
Reimei nodded before floating over to look out to the city with Yoshimura. The two stared out into the early morning skies that belonged to the city. It was quite a beautiful sight, and it brought a slight smile to the man's face. Reimei, for her part, stared out in awe.
"I haven't seen the mortal world since I was set free from that alleyway. The world has progressed so far since 2027… ninety-five years and the city looks cleaner than I've ever seen it in my time alive…." Reimei said as Yoshimura smiled.
"Thanks to The Speedwagon Foundation and the Hero Public Safety Commission, along with hoards of volunteers. Yokohama Ward is one of the cleanest places to live in the modern era," Yoshimura said, as his expression became serious, a heavy aura surrounding him as the sky blue aura of his Stand enveloped him. "But… something big is about to happen. Something that will go down in the history books forever. And our family is about to get involved. I have a strong suspicion that I will die, and when I do, I'll either go down as a hero or a villain."
Reimei looked at her descendant with a modicum of worry, but couldn't find it in herself to say anything to him. With how he looked, and with how willing he seemed to die… it was clear that he had every right to be as afraid as he was.
"Whatever is plaguing your mind, Yoshimura… I hope, from the bottom of my heart, that you overcome it," Reimei thought, as her body began to flicker. She sighed, looking over to Yoshimura, who glanced at her.
"Your connection is fading, isn't it?" The man asked as Reimei nodded.
"Unfortunately. But, don't worry! We'll talk again soon! Just… hopefully still in the mortal world, and not in the heavenly realms…" As she said that, she faded away. Yoshimura looked back out to the city, a weary gleam in his eyes. He took in a deep breath, before exhaling, calming his nerves.
"Two days…" Yoshimura thought, narrowing his eyes. "Two days before everything goes to shit…." The blond-haired man looked down at his right hand, opening and closing it. A sensation of fear washed over him, just like it had when he first saw Taisuke Yagi. "Will I be ready to face him again… or will I end up failing Jonathon and The President?"
He sincerely hoped it was the former, rather than the latter.

Toshinori Yagi was a man of many things, and one of those things was the fact that he was heroic to a fault. To say he was riding high on his newly healed body was an understatement. He felt like a new person, and he wanted to make up for hours and hours of inability to act. He had just saved a hospital from being under threat by a bunch of villains looking to steal medication for recreational use, and that was just thirty minutes ago. Right now, he was answering a distress call across Akihabara. He wasn't in the least bit worried because he could feel that he had another 48 hours left in him. While his body wasn't fully healed, it was healed enough to where he could be confident that he could travel most of the country in less than a few hours.
"It's been a long time since I've been able to do this!" Toshinori thought as he practically flew through the air. He wished this could never end, but he could feel his internal clock counting down, and he knew that he only had two days left of this body until he had to cool it down. Not only that, he knew he also only had 48 hours of One For All left. Whether he could stretch it out was not worth thinking about.
The call he was responding to was a robbery underway. The police couldn't make it there, so it was only him. For the briefest of seconds, he thought that it was a little strange that the police couldn't show up, but then again, they were quite busy themselves. That was why he existed in the position that he was in.
He was The Symbol Of Peace. In reality, he didn't need the police, but still, the thought of them being there was always nice in case things went south—but yet again, that rarely ever happened when he was there. In other words, he wasn't all that phased by the police not being there.
When he arrived, he stopped just a few feet away from… an empty plot of land. Well, it wasn't empty. There was a small house off to the right, along with a couple of lamp posts. There was no villain, but there was a man. He was standing stock still, staring in the direction where Toshinori was standing.
He was short, around about the same size as Gran Torino. He wore a black robe with a white scarf around his neck, along with a pair of black sunglasses. He had slightly darker skin, and across his face was a cracked mark that looked like a tattoo. His hair was wispy and white, and the way he carried himself was like that of a respected elder. His expression was serious, and in his right hand was a strange-looking cane.
The cane was made of wood, and from where he stood, Toshinori could make out patterns in the wood. Specifically, the patterns were swirls that bled into one another, along with flowers, and disturbingly enough, at the end of the cane, a pile of corpses etched into the wood. But that wasn't the strangest part of the cane. What was the strangest part of the cane was the fact that there was a red bubble inside the crook of the wooden walking stick.
And it had an embryo inside it with a singular bloodshot eye staring back at him.
Toshinori felt his skin break out into goosebumps, as the old man coughed into his hand, clearing his throat before looking up at Toshinori. "Ah… you seemed to have responded to my call. Thank you for coming, Toshinori Yagi." As the old man said that, his cane tapped the ground, and as the red bubble around the fetus expanded outward, the fetus itself floated in place.
The bubble expanded, and expanded, and expanded until it eclipsed the entire area. Toshinori looked around his surroundings and frowned. It was a trap, and this old man was behind it. "Quite the fascinating Quirk you have there, sir. But I will have to ask you to cease this immediately?"
The old man frowned. "Come now, Toshinori. Why would I do that? Have I not taught you enough?" The old man asked as Toshinori narrowed his eyes.
"I have never met you in my life," Toshinori said, his expression switching from a happy smile to a serious frown. "You will undo this, and you will come with me peacefully. I do not want to hurt you, sir. But I will be forced to use force if you continue this. Last chance," Toshinori said as the old man laughed.
"Just as rambunctious as ever! Ha!" Then, the old man stopped laughing, sneering as he did so. "So you truly haven't changed. I thought the years would've brought you to your senses. I made the right choice disowning you, brat."
As soon as those words slipped out of the old man's face, Toshinori felt a chill wash over his body. The blond giant took a step back, as the old man smirked. "Now it seems you remember. Age hasn't been kind to your old man, but at the same time, that was to be expected. Your brother is such a successful young man, and while you are too, it just so happens to run the opposite of what your brother wants—the right thing for my family."
"Kasumoto Yagi… Father… Taisuke said you had died!" Toshinori exclaimed, staring at the old man, who laughed.
"Oh, that's the funniest thing. I was dead. But I was brought back from the brink thanks to a generous young man and his Yakuza Family whom we fled to after The Speedwagon Foundation massacred us. I believe the young man's name was Kai Chisaki. It was a decade ago, and I made Taisuke think that I had forgotten everything. As far as he's concerned, my name is Coco Loco," Kasumoto said, a silver aura enveloping his body.
"I hate to admit it, but Taisuke was always a daddy's boy. He could never make a decision for himself if he believed I was still around with the same wisdom I've always had. So I had to lie to his face," Kasumoto said as the ground around him began to crack, the eye on the embryo's misshapen face glowing a bright green. "I might not be The Boss of the Yagi Clan anymore, but I don't need to be. Taisuke has become quite a powerful young man. Now, I just need to rid the world of the boy who betrayed his family."
As Kasumoto finished that sentence, Toshinori's eyes narrowed. "You… you led me here to kill me. You think I can stop Taisuke from whatever he plans on doing, don't you?"
Kasumoto scoffed but nodded all the same. "Of course I do. You have always had a way with words. But I threw you away because you were worthless. You had no Quirk, and you had no potential of awakening a Stand. I can't keep around dead weight. And yet, here you are, as Japan's number one hero. I would be proud of you if you weren't brainwashed."
When Kasumoto finished saying that, the ground around him continued to crack, and that was when Toshinori felt the ground underneath him rumble. "Of course, Quirks are still inferior to Stands. And even if mine is the most Quirk-like, it hardly matters. I still outpower you."
As he said that, the embryo breathed out, creating a small cloud only big enough for Kasumoto. The old man stepped on it, before floating up in the air, as the ground began to uplift at speeds that Toshinori was not prepared for. The ground almost swallowed him whole, had he not jumped up in time.
Just when he thought he was safe, Kasumoto began to spin his cane around, causing a pillar of black air to shoot forward and hit Toshinori square in the chest. When it hit, Toshinori felt all the air get forced out of his lungs, alongside the sound of something cracking.
Toshinori was slammed against the red bubble wall, which forced the rest of the air out of his lungs, and he fell to the ground, gasping for breath. Kasumoto frowned, staring down at Toshinori with a gleam in his eye. "Arrested Youth will be the end of you, boy."
Toshinori looked up at the looming presence that was the man who he used to be his father, and felt One For All channel throughout his body, his eyes glowing a brilliant blue as he launched himself up from his prone position on the ground, back to his feet. When he landed, the ground shook and put itself back into place, making the man's eyes widen.
"That's quite the proclamation to make, old man!" Toshinori boomed, fully embracing his All Might persona. "But, in case you don't know, they call me The Symbol Of Peace. And you, my dear sir, are disrupting that peace."
Kasumoto glowered, clutching Arrested Youth with all of his might, making the embryo turn a shade of brilliant red. The ground Toshinori began to rumble again, but instead of bursting upward again, pillars of magma began to jet out into the sky, raining down the liquid rock onto the ground like rain.
Kasumoto smirked. "Soon, this bubble will be filled with magma, and you will burn alive. What can you do now—" He wasn't there. Kasumoto realized it was far too late to do anything, as he felt a rocketing pain shoot through his body. All Might was already behind him, and he had punched him in the back of the head.
Kasumoto slammed against the red wall that was created by his Stand. He completely blanked out, breathing out for one final time, before he slid down the wall, dead. The Stands ability deactivated, and Arrested Youth ceased to exist. When All Might landed, he frowned, sighing.
"You know, if it were any other person in the world, I would feel bad for doing you in. But you're Kasumoto Yagi, former leader of The Yagi Clan... You disowned me and left me to die on the streets. You and All For One are the only people I would feel comfortable with ending." Toshinori paused, looking at the fallen form of his old man, walking over to it and standing over top of the body.
He felt… off. He didn't know why he did, but he did. Even so, when he picked up the old man's body, he couldn't help but feel a little disheartened that it had to come to this. "I wish I could find it in my heart to care about you, Father. To feel sad that you died. But I can't. I just can't. Not with how you were as a person. You always talked big game, but I have a feeling that even Taisuke knew that you were all talk and no bite," Toshinori said, feeling One For All fade away, but not completely. It was still there, but it was only embers now.
The flame of One For All was dying inside of him. He could feel it. Soon, it would be nothing more than the burnt-out remains of a bygone era. He too, would fade with it—All Might, he meant. This was his last big hoorah. He knew it, and he had a feeling everyone else knew it too.
"The end of an Era is coming. I have to make these last 48 hours count. Hopefully then, when I announce my retirement, the fallout won't be so bad," Toshinori thought, as he looked off in the distance toward the vast ocean. When he retired, would his country be safe, or would it be still in danger? With All For One still running about, he wasn't too sure.
But, he had faith in Midoriya and his friends. Should All For One show up the day after he lost One For All, he would die happy knowing that his successor could bring down the tyrant. Even if All For One was alive, he would be in a weakened state.
He had nothing to worry about.
Although, that got him thinking. What was Young Midoriya doing now?

Yoshihara breathed heavily, her face in her pillow as her hands were clenched. Her body tensed and then relaxed as she buried her face deeper, muffling herself whilst Izuku flopped to her right, his breathing rapid though slowly calming, looking up at the ceiling. The green-haired teen tugged the blankets over them both as the blonde stared off toward her boyfriend's rear wall. "Jesus Christ…" Yoshihara rasped, looking over her shoulder. "That was… different than last time. Pent up or something?"
"Just a little," Izuku said, clearing his throat. "I'm still mad at myself for not being able to pass the final exam. But that only just goes to show I need to train harder," the ninth bearer of One For All muttered, still trying to catch his breath as the blonde smiled, turned around and sat up, keeping the blankets covering her body.
It was early in the morning, around 7 a.m., and despite their better judgement, they broke the rules. Besides, it wasn't as if Aizawa was going to break down the door and shout at them having sex in the privacy of Izuku's dorm room. That was their prerogative, not his.
It felt… strange, though. She was open to doing the deed for as long as Izuku wanted to. And yet, she couldn't help but feel like Izuku wasn't enjoying it as much as he used to. It also didn't help that they were still in high school, and a part of her thought that it was wrong—that it was taboo. However, a louder part of her consciousness told her to ignore that part of her and to do what made her happy. Either way, it didn't matter. If Izuku wasn't enjoying it like he used to…. Yoshihara looked over to Izuku and frowned.
"Izuku, be honest with me… do you still enjoy doing this?" Yoshihara asked, making the teen blink, before he looked over to her with a raised eyebrow.
"Enjoy doing it? What are you talking about? Of course, I enjoy it. Why wouldn't I? I honestly don't get why others find it weird," Izuku said as Yoshihara frowned, looking away. That was when he sighed, before shooting her a lopsided smile. "Are you… insecure about something?"
"No," Yoshihara stated bluntly, before getting out of bed. Izuku averted his eyes for her modesty, looking at the blankets as Yoshihara spoke. "I'm asking because of the way you looked at me while we were doing it… it's not the same as the first or second time we did it. You look detached from it, almost."
He did? Izuku didn't know that. And even if he did look that way… "That's not how I feel, though. Although, I am trying not to get too into it. I don't want to accidentally give you One For All because I end up thinking the wrong thing. It's a lot harder than it looks, believe me. In other words, I'm not giving it my all like the first time we went at it… If I had to guess, that's probably what it is that's making it seem that way," As Izuku said that, he rubbed the back of his neck.
"I know how much you dislike condoms, but maybe we should use them more often. I'm still nervous about the whole One For All thing, but I'm also afraid I might knock you up again…" Izuku continued as Yoshihara sat on the bed, now dressed in a pair of shorts and a loose tank top, with a pair of clean clothes to go change into.
"Izuku, I'm on the pill. I took it before we had sex just to make sure nothing happened. I'm fine," she paused, remembering the last time she said that before shuttering. "But… If you're that worried, I still have three more of those tests in that box. It was a four-set. I can check after I get out of the shower, but I highly doubt it'll happen again." She paused, biting her lip.
"If It does happen again though, we don't have another way out. That'll be that. If I get pregnant again, then that's wraps. Gyro can't ship us those pills without getting caught, and without me being arrested for breaking that draconic law. The Government is keeping their eyes on me. I know they are."
"I know, that's why I'm saying we should use condoms," Izuku said as Yoshihara cringed. "I know they don't feel good, but still. It's better to be safe than sorry later, right?"
"I suppose," Yoshihara said, before standing up. "I'll leave you to do whatever it is you do in the morning." As Yoshihara said that, she exited his dorm room and stepped into the hallway. When she did, she looked down the hallway and saw Kaminari getting out of his room, stretching. The two made eye contact, the latter smiling at her.
"Mornin' Kira!"
"Good morning, Kaminari." Yoshihara turned to leave for the showers, but before she did, the electric teen called out to her.
"Hey, uh… I won't say anything if you do me a favour," Kaminari called out as Yoshihara looked over her shoulder. When she did, he tossed something at her. Killer Queen caught it, and when she saw what it was, she raised an eyebrow. It was a USB. Before Yoshihara could ask what it was, Kaminari spoke up again. "Give that to Tsuyu-chan. It's a recipe for something she wanted me to look into last night. She was tired and went to bed before I could give it to her."
Yoshihara shrugged, flashing the teen a thumbs up before walking down the hallway. She heard him call out a thanks before she went down the stairs. When she got to the main floor, she saw Asui in the kitchen. When she did, she tossed the USB to the teen, who caught it.
"What is this?"
"Kaminari looked something up for you apparently. Whatever it is, it's on there for you," Yoshihara replied as Asui nodded.
"Ah, alright. He has my thanks *ribbit*," Asui said, putting the USB in her pocket. "Although… what were you doing on the boy's side of the dorms anyway?" Asui asked as Yoshihara gave her a dumb look.
"Do I really need to answer that?" Yoshihara asked, her tone blunt. "I fell asleep in Izuku's room when we binge-watched One Piece," Yoshihara effortlessly lied. As she walked, Asui gave her a skeptical stare.
"Where are you at in the show?" Asui asked as Yoshihara smirked.
"Sabody Archipelago," Yoshihara replied as Asui blinked before shrugging.
"Alright. I'll leave you alone then," Asui said. She paused, before sighing. "And… I'm sorry about how I've been treating you. I thought about it last night and… It's unbecoming of me as a Pro Hero in training."
Yoshihara nodded. "It's quite alright Asui—"
"It's Tsuyu. My friends call me Tsuyu," The frog heteromorph interrupted as Yoshihara smirked.
"Alright, Tsuyu. I accept your apology. I'm glad someone else came to their senses… now if only Yaoyorozu would follow suit," Yoshihara said as Tsuyu nodded, a rogue croak sneaking out when she did. The blonde sighed, looking over to the girl's side of the dorms. "Alright. I'm going to take a shower. I know we're supposed to be leaving for the camp today. If I'm not out by the time Aizawa does the roll call, can you come get me?"
Tsuyu flashed her a thumbs-up before Yoshihara walked off to the showers. When she did, she walked up the stairs, crossed the hallway, made a right turn, and made it to the bathroom. She went to open the door but stopped when it was locked. "Damn, it's full…" Yoshihara thought, sighing. This is what she got for staying over in Izuku's dorm room.
"Waiting on an open shower, Amico?"
Yoshihara looked over to where the voice came from and saw Maria leaning against the wall. "Yes, I am. I don't suppose you are, too?" Yoshihara asked the Italian as Maria shook her head.
"No, signora Uraraka swapped places with me just a minute ago. The third shower was broken due to signora Ashido accidentally melting the shower head with her Quirk due to her excitement over the training camps. Aizawa-sensei is going to get it repaired during our trip," Maria said as Yoshihara felt the urge to smack the acid user up the back of the head with that kind of blunder. But, instead, she frowned and sighed in defeat.
"This was bound to happen, wasn't it?" Yoshihara asked as Maria shrugged.
"Control over one's Quirk is a lot different from controlling ones Stand. My former boss once told me: Il controllo dipende dalla propria mentalità. Se non si riesce a controllare la propria anima, le proprie emozioni e le proprie azioni, si ha una possibilità non nulla di controllare il proprio Quirk. O, in questo caso, il proprio Stand." As Maria said that, Yoshihara raised an eyebrow.
"Uh… Japanese, please? I can't understand Italian," Yoshihara said as Maria snickered to herself.
"My bad. I'm used to having conversations with Giorgio. I said: Control depends on one's mindset. If you cannot control your soul, your emotions and your actions, you have a non-zero chance of controlling your Quirk. Or, in this case, one's Stand. That was what my boss told me when I was just starting out. I was a newbie Stand User, so I didn't exactly have good control over Sticky Fingers."
Yoshihara nodded, crossing her arms under her chest, and holding her clean clothes close. "I see. Well, that makes sense. We're still training to control our abilities. Or, I guess in our case, to expand upon our abilities," the blonde said as Maria smiled. Just as she was about to say something, the door to the showers opened. Out walked Yaoyorozu, dressed in a white blouse and black office skirt. For a split second, Yoshihara and her eyes met. Both glared at one another before Yaoyorozu walked away.
"Mi chiedo cosa hai fatto per farla arrabbiare così tanto con te...." Maria muttered as Yoshihara glanced at the teen, but said nothing. It was probably said in Italian for a reason. Whatever it was, it was directed to Yaoyorozu, so she didn't care.
When Yoshihara entered the room, she put her clothes on the counter, entered the stall, and around three minutes later, she walked out clean as a whistle. She dried off and then got dressed. This time, she decided to wear something familiar, that being a black tank top and a pair of dark brown cargo shorts with knee-length pink and white striped socks.
Picking up her dirty laundry and towel, the blonde Stand user made her way to the laundry room. It was empty, thankfully, and also thankfully, no one else was doing their laundry yet. So, she dumped her dirty clothes into her basket that she had labelled, which was next to a few other baskets that looked almost full.
There were 20 baskets, 20 washers, and 20 dryers. While there were only 18 people in Class 1 – A, they were told that two more people would join them once the Summer Camp was over. That was good. Or perhaps not so good. Honestly, she didn't know. All she knew was that those last two baskets would be put into use soon.
Once she put her laundry into the basket, she exited and went off to her room. Upon opening the door, she walked over to her dresser, pulled out the test box, dragged out one of the three tests that remained, before stuffing it into her pocket, walked off to the bathroom, and a minute later, she got her result.
Negative.
"Good."
Yoshihara sighed, blowing up the test with a relieved look in her eyes. Now all she had to do was pack a bag for the summer camp, and wait for Aizawa-sensei to do a roll-call. When at camp, she knew that she and Izuku wouldn't be allowed to do anything since she heard that the girls would be split into three different tents—and that was between both classes, not just one class. The same applied to the boys.
From what she was aware, Izuku, Kaminari, Ashido, Karera, and a kid named Tsubasa were going to need extra training because they failed their exams. Nemuri had told her that they were still going to the training camp. The only change was that Aizawa was going to be the one training them instead of their special instructors.
"Karera and that other kid from 1 – B are going to be in for a treat," Yoshihara thought darkly, exiting the bathroom, and heading back to her room to pack herself her bag.
In the back of her mind, though, something was bugging her. Her conversation with Midoriya yesterday afternoon had started to annoy her. His words haunted her. It was almost like a premonition of the future.
"It's not me I'm worried about. I can feel out Stands, and I always could have. But… people like Uraraka-san, Bakugo, Ashido-san, Todoroki-kun. They can't. They're helpless against Stands and they know it. It's why Bakugo ended up the way he is…. You know it just as much as I do. More people from our class and beyond are going to die. It's only a matter of time. The question is… who?"
It had been on loop in her mind last night over and over again. He didn't even question whether or not it was going to happen or not. He just assumed that someone was going to die. Someone from Class 1 – A was going to meet a grizzly end, and that was all there was to it.
Why was he so sure of that? Why was he so sure that someone from their class was going to die? Did he not have faith in them? Or maybe… "Maybe that was his depression talking. Even if Yaoyorozu was the one who died, I still wouldn't want that to happen. For as much as I loathe her, she doesn't deserve that…" Yoshihara thought, frowning as she put away the last bit of clothing that she thought she was going to need.
When she closed her suitcase and picked it up, she walked toward the door of her dorm room, just as someone knocked on it. When she opened the door, she was greeted by Tsuyu. "It's time to go, Kira-chan."
Yoshihara smiled. "Very well. Thank you for getting me."
Tsuyu nodded, moving out of her way as she exited her room. The heteromorph student glanced in her room, then hummed to herself, before closing the door. But as she walked, something shifted underneath her bangs, and her eyes glazed over.
On the other side of the city, sitting on a throne of wooden boxes haphazardly stacked together within a warehouse, was Takiyuma Yunga, a hideous sneer on his face.
His first thrall failed to even get close to one of them. But his second thrall was closer than ever before.
"I might have failed with my first thrall… but my second thrall… not so much. This time, I picked someone that no one would have expected. After all, considering what they're supposed to represent, she is the best-suited individual for getting rid of pesky insects…" Takiyuma thought, crossing his arms.
"Coco Loco is dead…" Spangled Banner muttered, who was completely covered in shadows, earning a sigh from Takiyuma.
"Finally, that old turd is gone. Which means that leaves just us," Takiyuma grunted. "And The Boss wants you to be the one who shows up there. Right? Which means I have to rely on my thrall and that little shit," Takiyuma stated as Spangled Banner nodded in the darkness, his cerulean blue eyes gleaming in the darkness.
"Yes... That's correct. Finally, after all these years, I can get my revenge on that stupid Kujo and his damned Italian friend," Spangled Banner spat, narrowing his eyes.
"Hmph. You seem to forget just who they are. They beat your ancestor for a reason. What makes you think you're any different?" Takiyuma asked as Spangled Banner smirked.
"My Stand is a little different from my others. A Stand represents its user. Just because it's a Stand that exists in every member of my family doesn't mean that it's the same every time. It might have the same name, but my version is different. Same concept, different execution," Spangled Banner said as Takiyuma huffed.
"Whatever," The Vampire grumbled as several hisses echoed throughout the warehouse. Spangled Banner shuttered as more than 800 snakes with wings filled the floor and clung to the walls of the warehouse gleaming with nothing but hate. Takiyuma's hand was clenched into a fist, a sneer coming over his face.
"I've been humiliated for the last time… I'm not about to let anyone get in my way. Yoshihara Kira is already dead. Fate has decided it because I decided it," The Vampire growled as he stood up. His body began to shift, as his muscles expanded. His back began to shift, as a pair of fleshy wings sprouted outward. His teeth shifted and became as sharp and pointy as that of a snake.
His clawed fingers got sharp, dripping with a purple substance. He looked like a completely different person. "DIO had control over his body when it came to his elements, blood, and his regenerative capabilities because all he cared about was self-preservation. But I… I can control all of my body. Down to the very last cell…" As Takiyuma spoke, his voice became deeper as his veins bulged, his tongue becoming forked, just like his Stand.
"I am Takiyuma Yunga…" The Vampire hissed. "And I will be the end of those stupid brats!"
