Delilah grabbed the marriage certificate out of Ryan's hand and looked at it in shock. "This can't be... Chairman Lee, Lucas never met my sister before today. There must be a mistake!"
Chairman Lee looked towards the back of the ballroom and smiled as he ignored the woman's complaints. "From what I see, they seem to know each other really well..."
At the back of the ballroom, a crowd was gathering. To protect his wife, Lucas grabbed Maya's hand and quickly found an excuse to leave. "My wife and I have jet lag. Thank you for coming today, we shall leave first," he said before he dragged the unsuspecting woman out.
Delilah started to get anxious. This was the closest she had ever gotten to the upper-upper-class. How could she let this opportunity slip away? Leaning over, she whispered to the man, "Chairman Lee, I thought we had an agreement..."
Didn't he want her to help him control his son?
