"Good morning," greeted a sweet male voice to the woman beside him. He squinted a little as the sun shone brightly through the window, peeking in and watched the beautiful couple who was ready to start their day in bed.
Robbie watched Alex as she stretched her arms up and greeted him.
"Good morning, my love," she greeted with closed eyes and smiling. "How was your sleep?"
Robbie didn't answer and instead held her closer to him. He pulled her from her waist and she touched his neck in response. She slowly opened her eyes and gaze at the beautiful brown eyes of her partner.
"Morning kiss?" she asked and he nodded. So she pulled his neck and wrapped her legs around his hips to pull him much closer until their lips met.
Did she just have a dream of this before?
'But the real one was way better,' she thought as she felt a hand slowly travelling on her thigh then up inside her nightgown, taking off her underwear, slowly then....
"Mom!" a loud knock on the door with her daughter's voice, startled Alex that she accidentally kicked Robbie and he fell off the bed.
"Dammit!" he cursed as his back hit the floor. "God, Alex!"
"Sorry," she said laughing as she sat up from the bed and looked over to him on the floor. "Are you okay?"
Robbie gave her a stern look and frowned. He rubbed his back as he stared at the door.
"Time to teach that little kid a lesson," he said as he stood up and walked over to the door.
Alex scrambled herself up from the bed, expecting Robbie to be mad at their daughter but instead, he had this huge smile on his face.
"Hello, princess," greeted Robbie as he opened the door. "What are you doing up so early?"
"I want to see Viola before we go home."
"Princess, come inside," and he opened the door for Sasha.
Sasha creased her eyebrows as she thought of so many things her dad wanted to talk to her about. She sat on the bed as Robbie and Alex sat beside her.
"You're going to stay here while your mom and I go back home."
"What?!" Sasha stood up quickly as her eyes grew wide.
Why are her parents leaving her alone here with her grandmother?
"Mom..." she tried to get help from her mother but Alex just reach out for her hand. "What's going on?"
"We have an urgent meeting to attend to. But we will be back by tomorrow, I promise," Robbie assured her.
"Why can't I come?" Sasha asked. Though Sasha had been with a babysitter before, this would be the first time she would be left alone with her grandma and she was feeling uneasy just thinking about it.
Alex squeezed Sasha's hand as she reassured her.
"You will be fine, Sasha. Auntie will be here, too, so you don't need to worry."
Alex knew that her daughter was worried more of being alone with Laura than going a day without her. Sasha had grown up with Kiara as her only babysitter and since then, she had not been left alone with anyone... until now.
"Can I play with Viola till then?" Sasha asked. As much as she wanted to protest, she knew her parents had already decided.
"Sure, honey," answered Alex. "But first, breakfast."
"Of course, Mom. I actually went to the kitchen first since I could smell some delicious food coming from there. Manang Emilia told me about you and daddy."
"Really? What did she say?"
"That she saw you both when you were kids and that she was happy you're getting married."
The couple smiled.
"Let's get going then. I think I hear your stomach growling in agreement to that," Alex teased.
"Okay..." and Sasha went straight out the door as Alex went to the bathroom to get her bathrobe. Robbie followed her to the bathroom and started stripping off his pajamas. Then he went straight to the shower.
Alex smiled as mischief was in her eyes, and she started stripping off as well, joining him in the shower.
"What the hell are you doing, Alex?" he asked as his eyes focused on her breasts. "Shit!"
"What do you think am I doing?" she asked as her eyes scanned him, and traced a finger on his chest.
"No," he protested as he held her finger. "I'm mad at you."
"Really?" and she wrapped her hands around him. "Why are you mad at me?"
"You kicked me off the bed."
Alex laughed as he sounded like a little kid complaining.
"Let me make it up to you then..."
And soon enough, despite of his "protests", he still gave in.
What else can he do anyway?
**********
"I brought my pail and shovel so we can build a sand castle together," Viola told Sasha as they kneeled down on the sand.
The sun pricked into their skin as the summer heat continued to spread that day. Though it was a few weeks before Fall Season, summer definitely gave its last hurrah by letting the sun do its task.
"Can we go to the water first? I really want to go swimming," said Sasha who was feeling the sweat trickling down her whole body. It felt as if she was swimming in her own sweat.
"You can go ahead, Sasha. I want to play in the sand first," Viola replied as she continued shoveling the sand and pour it on the pail.
"Fine," and Sasha stood up, disappointed. She couldn't believe Viola would not listen to her. "I invited you over so we could play but I guess that's not your plan."
She walked to the water. A smile formed in her lips as the young girl dropped her shovel and pail to follow her.
Viola sighed. "You're kinda bossy, you know."
"Me?" and Sasha pointed mockingly to herself. "I'm not bossy."
"You just did."
"Well you don't want to listen to me so.. I got mad."
"Well, you cannot do that to me. I don't like it."
Sasha sighed. "Fine. I'm sorry. It's just that I'm sweating so much and it's really hot. So I want to go for a swim already. But you would rather play in the sand."
"Well, we don't go here often so I missed playing with it."
"Sasha! Hey!" someone called out and Sasha widened her eyes. She suddenly felt shy as she turned and saw who it was. It was Kellan.
Kellan walked over to them, smiling and waving.
"Good to see you, Sasha. How was your camping trip?" Kellan asked as soon he joined them.
"It... It was fun. How are you?" and Sasha looked away, trying to avoid his eyes. She did not understand why but she suddenly felt conscious around him.
Could it be because she liked him? Is this how one should feel towards their crush?
She shifted her foot as she looked down and Viola creased her brows. This is the first time she ever saw her friend acting so weird.
"Oh, hello there, pretty girl! What's your name?" Kellan asked as Sasha looked at them with angry eyes.
Why is Kellan calling her pretty girl? Should she not be the only one who is pretty for him?
She stopped herself from rolling her eyes as she realized she was becoming jealous. Why would she be jealous when she did not even know if Kellan liked her or not?
'Stupid me,' she thought to herself.
Kellan was being friendly to Viola and since she was her friend, it was only right for him to befriend anyone she was close to, including Viola.
"Hi. I'm Viola. Sasha and I met at the camp. Are you Kellan?" the little girl answered that made Sasha bit her lip. She didn't want Kellan to know she was telling anyone about him. The reason, she didn't know as well.
Kellan chuckled and looked at Sasha.
"I guess Sasha had been telling me to you, huh?" the boy teased, Sasha blushed in embarassment.
"Yeah," Viola answered as Sasha tried to warn her with her eyes. "Well, she told me you're the one who teach her how to swim."
Kellan smiled. "Yes, I did. Well did you swim then, Sasha?"
Sasha nodded.
"I swim too but my legs cramped. So she helped me go back to the riverbank."
"Wow! That's good Sasha. You finally learned how to swim."
Sasha beamed from ear to ear.
"Thank you, Kellan. I will not learn if not for you. You're a good teacher."
"And you are a good student. I'm glad you remembered how to do it."
"I was scared at first but I saw Viola sinking away and told myself, I needed to take her out of there. Just like what you did.... Dad said you're a good influence to me and..."
"And?"
"He might ask you to come over often."
"Well, I'll be happy, too. Actually, I'm moving in with my aunt in the fall. I might come more often."
"Really?" Sasha could not contain her joy. Would that mean she would see Kellan more often? Maybe everyday.
Oh, she couldn't wait to tell Rico! I'm sure he would be glad to meet another friend.
Viola frowned. "I wish I was closer to you, Sasha, so we can play a lot too."
Sasha felt bad and walked kver to Viola.
"Well, guess what? Mom said I would stay here for awhile. Maybe all week. It depends."
"Why it depends?"
"My parents are getting married."
"They are?" asked Kellan. "Wow! That's great news."
"Are we invited too?" asked Viola.
"Perhaps. I can ask them to invite you and your parents, too, so we can all have fun together."
"Really? Thanks Sasha," and she hugged her tightly.
"I told you to stop calling me!" a loud voice startled the girls as they both looked where the voice was coming from.
Elaine came bounding towards them angrily as she took her phone away from her face.
"Mom?" called Viola. "Is-"
"I'm sorry, honey, but we need to go," Elaine told her and Viola looked at Sasha sadly.
"Sorry, Sasha..." said Viola, lowering her eyes.
"It's okay. I'll still be here tomorrow."
Viola shrugged and walked away with her mother.
'What was that all about?' she wondered as the mother and daughter walked farther away.
