Chapter 262

Li Zi Yun did not speak much after she woke up. Whenever anyone spoke to her, she answered in a word. Wang Yu tried speaking with her, but Li Zi Yun did not speak much. She did not even look at Wang Yu's eyes.

The Zhao family had visited often. Li Zi Yun did not ask why they spent most of their time here and they also did not say anything to Li Zi Yun. Wang Yu had asked them to wait for some time. She was already depressed and he did not want to worsen her health and mood.

Guilt was eating Li Zi Yun. Wang Yu had made her promise to him not to leave the house, but she broke that promise. Li Zi Yun blamed herself for everything that happened. They lost their babies because of her. Whenever Wang Yu tried to talk to her, she kept the conversation to the minimum. Wang Yu was not holding their children now, because of her, how could she look at his face.

Wang Yu did not leave Li Zi Yun's side. He tried talking to her, but it was of no use. Li Zi Yun was not ready to face him or talk to him. The doctors had already warned him, that Li Zi Yun might be in depression when she wakes up. Most of the time, Li Zi Yun was just lying on the bed, staring at the wall without saying a word. Whenever she ate, she felt like her throat was clogged and she could not swallow anything; and at the end, she vomited everything.

Wang Yu could not take it anymore; he had Li Zi Yun discharged and took her home. He thought that the hospital was making Li Zi Yun more depressed. However, the same continued for a couple of days at their home. Li Zi Yun was always in bed and she was becoming thinner every day; and Wang Yu knew this had to stop. Li Zi Yun had not shed a single tear after that day and Wang Yu was getting worried. He was not ready to lose his wife. Li Zi Yun was keeping all her sorrow to herself and without letting it out the doctor warned Wang Yu that the consequences maybe dangerous. Wang Yu made up his mind that he had to talk to her today and make her talk to him somehow.

It was past dinner time and Li Zi Yun had not got out of bed or had dinner. Wang Yu was in his study. When the butler informed him that Li Zi Yun had not eaten anything yet, he walked straight to the bed and carried her to the bathroom. She looked at him, but did not say a word. He shed his clothes and helped her remove her clothes; and took her straight to the shower. Li Zi Yun was still bleeding from childbirth and Wang Yu could see the red blood flowing down her legs as they both stood in the shower. Li Zi Yun buried her head in Wang Yu's chest and looked at the blood and water flowing down. The cold water was falling on her shoulders chilling her bones but she could not feel anything.

Not a word was spoken as Wang Yu carried her to the room and made her sit on the bed. Then he went into the closet and chose her clothes and placed it next to her and said, "Change and come out. I have something important to tell you"

Wang Yu's cold and distant voice broke Li Zi Yun from the trance. She looked up at him but there was no emotion in his face. Then Wang Yu left the room after picking up his clothes. Wang Yu's action made Li Zi Yun come to only one conclusion. He was ready to give up on her. She could not blame him if that is what he wants. She lost their children; of course, he would be mad on her.

Li Zi Yun changed into her clothes. She knew that making him wait any longer would not change anything. So Li Zi Yun walked straight to Wang Yu's study and saw him standing near the window, looking out. She sat down and waited for him to turn around but he did not.

At last, Li Zi Yun opened her mouth, "Baby…"

This was what Wang Yu was waiting for. For the past ten days, she had not taken the initiative to speak to him and she had not even responded much. He knew when she walked in, but he wanted her to speak, say something, anything.

Wang Yu turned around, walked to Li Zi Yun and sat down beside her. The moon light fell on Li Zi Yun's face and she looked so pale and thin. Wang Yu had never seen anyone lose so much weight postpartum. Wang Yu sat there looking at Li Zi Yun's face. She was still pretty gorgeous, but sad, there was no spark in her eyes. When he did not say anything, Li Zi Yun started to talk, "I know what you wanted to talk about"

Wang Yu looked at her, urging her to continue.

Li Zi Yun continued, "I know you hate me after what happened to the babies. I do not blame you. I hate myself too; no wonder you hate me too"

This was definitely not, what Wang Yu wanted to say. He had only called her to talk but he never expected this was what Li Zi Yun had been thinking all along. Now he understood why Li Zi Yun had been wallowing in sorrow without speaking to him. She had been blaming herself for everything and thought that he hated her. How could he hate her? She was the most precious and important person in his life. How could he hate his Li Zi Yun?

Wang Yu was staring at her shocked. Li Zi Yun continued without looking at him, "This wouldn't have happened if I was careful… I…" a lone tear escaped her eyes and flowed down her cheeks. Now Li Zi Yun could not control herself anymore. She had already lost her children and she could not imagine her life without Wang Yu now.

Wang Yu knelt down in front of Li Zi Yun and took her hands in his; and whispered to her, "Baby… look at me…"

But Li Zi Yun could not look at him. Everything came down crushing on her and she started weeping loudly.

Wang Yu did not stop her. He wanted her to let out everything. Wang Yu pulled Li Zi Yun to his lap and they both stayed in same position until Li Zi Yun had no more tears left.
