Killing 2 Sharks with One Stroke

Looking at the map that Roderick gave us, I noticed that both Eagle Eye Yelmer and Fanatical Torry were pretty close together.

They were even projected to meet and merge their groups around sundown tonight. They must have assumed that we were safer as a group.

They would be right but for me, my RPG made dealing with tight-knit groups of people of my specialties. They must not have gotten the news that Explosive Earl had died.

Whatever way that they used to communicate must not be able to transfer much information or else they would know better than gathering in a group.

I looked at the map and realized that they were pretty far from here, much farther than a normal man could cross in a day.

Barry after looking at the map too said, "It's ok lad, I knew that I couldn't follow you on all your adventures. Just find me if it all turns out well. I'll be at the bar here."

I nodded tears welling up in my eyes, I would be leaving Roderick here, the person that had cared for me and supported me the entire time I had been in this world.

This would possibly be the last time I meet as there was a nonzero chance I would die on this mission and forever be locked out of the system.

So I said to him, "Before I go, I just want to say, I am grateful for all you have done for me. If not for your help I probably would've been eating garbage in a ditch somewhere, so I thank you."

He smiled and said, "I'm just an old man, all my glory days are behind me now. You on the other hand have the whole world ahead of you. As a favor to this old man leave a mark on it."

"Make sure that even if we don't meet again, I will hear your name in the mouths of every noble, gangster, and common man on this island. As a man who made the world a better place."

I nodded and said, "I will. You hear the name Marcus Fulbright from the mouths of every man that left us in this dump and feared by all the men who ever hurt you."

I then ran off hoping that this was not the last time we would meet.

I decided that I was going to follow Fanatic Torry and find out if he would actually merge with Eagle Eye Yelmer.

It was just a projection that they would meet not a guarantee, so I wanted to make sure that I could take down at least 1 lieutenant if the projections were wrong.

I also didn't want to follow Yelmer because his moniker is Eagle Eye, pretty worried he will spot me from a kilometer away.

I don't know what enhancement Torry has but I probably will not be anywhere as annoying as enhanced eyesight. Hopefully, he was a dumbass and chose enhanced taste.

I rushed in the direction of Torry he was the one closer to the bar. His group was massive consisting of nearly 30 men.

From my vantage point, 500 meters away I noticed that not all of them were carrying guns. I estimate only half of them actually had a firearm, the rest were carrying melee weapons.

He must have merged some of the surrounding enforcers of the Shark Eater's gang to this one. That is why it is so large and so varied.

The ones with melee weapons must have been some of the less trusted enforcers but still heeded the call to head back to base.

So now I had to deal with a group of 30 undisciplined men, if Yelemer's group was the same then I had to deal with 60 men.

Damn, that was not going to be easy. I had hoped they were going to be the same as the other patrols I saw, groups of 10 men.

Well, you have to do what you have to do. I then tried to find where Torry was. It was actually pretty hard because I couldn't believe what I was seeing.

There was a man around my height naked from the waist up. He was carrying a flame thrower so I assumed it was Torry.

But what threw me off was that he was being whipped by a man behind him. He seemed to be enjoying it as I could hear his exclamation from here.

I could see that many of the men around him edged away from him. At least he would be hurt when the fight began?

Though looking at him I did wonder if he enhanced his sense of touch just to feel the pain better. He looked like the type of idiot who would do that.

After following him for an hour I realized that the wounds inflicted on him healed abnormally fast. I guess his constant self-inflicted pain caused his body to adapt.

So he would be harder to kill than I originally expected. Damn One Piece logic turning masochists into tanks just because they constantly hurt themselves.

After midnight I could see the outline of another group approaching, probably the group led by Yelmer. I immediately hid behind a pile of trash not risking him seeing me even in the dark of night.

So I followed the group, instead of looking at them, potentially getting seen by Yelmer I hid behind the trash and followed them using the sound of their footfalls.

I heard them stop and prepare to camp for the night. I waited 4 hours till I was relatively sure that everyone would be asleep except for the guards on watch.

I then peaked above the piles of trash and saw the camp. I was right there were around 60 men all laying about the clearing. The lieutenants seemed to rest in their own custom tents.

Good, that means that I won't have to worry about Yelmer spotting me. So I prepped myself by taking the RPG from my shoulder and laying it across the ground.

I prepared all the 7 shells to be in easy reach. I loaded the RPG and pointed to Yelmer's tent first. He was the one I wanted to get rid of first. In a long-range duel like this, I would definitely lose.

So I fired the first shot and watched the fireworks. It killed nearly a third of all the men and hit Yelmer's tent head-on.

The gangster was now all scrambling to their feet but I fired my second shot at Torry's tent. It hit dead on but I saw that he had managed to escape the blast just in time.

I did notice however he didn't have his flamethrower with him, it was probably in the tent I had just blown up.

I fired my third shot into the largest remaining group of Shark Eaters killing them. I then stopped, wanting to conserve as much ammo as possible for the last big fight.

I rushed to the camp, as there only seemed to be 10 gangsters still in fighting condition. One tried to shoot at me but I dodged his bullet with a swift Bo-bup and smashed his face in with a Baekdu.

I then move to the other gunmen easily killing them in their confused and terrified state with a few Hwechooks, Arangs, or Soksas.

I then felt a tingle in the back of my head and immediately ducked. Good thing as just over my head passed a saber.

I immediately Bo-buped away looking at who almost took my head off. It was Torry. He had a saber in both hands and a crazed smile on his face.

He said, "That wasn't very nice. After killing all of my men don't you think you deserve to die?"

Ignoring his rambling I rushed in and aimed to hit him with a Taebeak killing him with one kick. He managed to move out of the way however my foot only grazed his side.

He retaliated with his two sabers aimed at my head and legs. I jumped, and spun, moving my body between the saber strikes while keeping the distance with him at close range.

Once again I tried to hit him with another move, a Screw Punch this time but he once again moved out of my way, me only hitting his shoulder instead of his head.

I felt his bones break but he seem not to care using his arm the same even after the debilitating injury. Damn, masochism in this world is way too OP.

He swung at me again and once again I dodged. This dance of death continues for a while with me dodging all his blows and him managing to mitigate my blow and fight through the damage.

I then realized he only dodged after my attack came close. He didn't even have to be looking at my kicks to move out of the way.

He must have an enhanced sense of touch as I thought. He must feel the wind pushed from my attacks and dodges them.

I then used the skill I remember learning so long ago in the jungle to try and catch rabbits. When I tried to reduce the sound of my attacks by moving with the wind not against it.

I took great focus but I managed it, hitting the side of this head with a Hwechook knocking him out. I then killed him with a quick stomp downwards.

I looked at the field around filled with corpses of people I had killed. I sighed, tired from all the tracking and fighting. I would deal with all the looting tomorrow.

I went off to the trash and hid myself in the filth before promptly falling asleep.
