Tera Creatures

After a few hours of practice for Jacob, he was still having minor success with the sutra and hadn't gotten any results. It crossed his mind that maybe the sutra wasn't for him, but it was all he could rely on for now.

"It's just going to have to work for now" Jacob gave up on practising the sutra any further. There was a true meaning that he was not understanding and burning energy was not getting him any further.

Jacob attempted his final strike but he was met with the same minor success. A bright light burned through the ridges of the tree, but it still did not break.

"Fuck this, I can use a sword to have the same outcome" Jacob was frustrated and packed himself up. Soon Jacob started his Journey through the forest. He was on somewhat of a high alert as he knew that this forest was dangerous for having humanoid beasts in a class of their own and could easily kill him.

This was partly why it was called Man-Beast forest. There had been many records of sightings of werewolf-like beasts, which was the reason for the name of the forest.

There were not a lot of things Jacob wanted other than nutritional foods, he also wanted to grow stronger. He was passing through a section of the forest that was covered in roots, the roots never stood out to him but he hurried over them.

Growl!

Jacob was stepping over the roots like a crane when he heard a grim growl from around him that made the forest around him shake like an earthquake.

Jacob had no idea where it came from, but he knew he could not afford to be seen, but at the same time, he could not move.

Soon a section of the forest was lifted from the ground. It was like watching a volcano rising from the surface. It reached about 45 metres into the sky before the beast broke the surface.

Dirt rained from the sky for a few minutes before it finally stopped. It was a large beaver, it had thick brown fur. Its yellow teeth jutted out of its mouth. It held its nose high in the air smelling of something.

In the same moment, the ground from under Jacob's feet was pulled like a rug. His surroundings were instantly in disarray.

Urgh!

The tree roots came alive and wrapped around Jacob, they started tightening around him and constricted his airways. Everything happened so fast that Jacob had no way to react, Jacob soon understood that there was some kind of beast that had grabbed him.

Suddenly the lateral underground branches came up from under the ground. The beast looked to be about 60 metres tall, it came in the form of a murderous banyan tree. It had no face, it could be passed off as a normal banyan tree.

Its limbs stretch out dozens of metres in all directions and a good portion of the beast was still not above ground.

The powerful beast made Jacob seem like a child. There was no way for him to fight back against it. The large banyan beast looked to have a dinner appointment with Jacob.

The banyan beast was suddenly interrupted but the harsh grinding of the beaver's teeth. The two beasts looked at each other furiously as they sized up to each other. The beaver looked at the banyan best like it was food.

It started to salivate as it stared at the banyan tree beast. The beaver ran toward the banyan tree beast with a lust for a taste. The beast was annoyed with the beaver, he controlled more of its limbs to apprehend the beaver all while keeping Jacob hostage.

It was saving Jacob to kill him later but Jacob was coughing up blood. The beast was too strong.

The beaver let out a loud human-like cry. It bit down on one of the roots and chewed it ravenously. The banyan tree beast was displeased, its roots flew out with a cackle. The banyan root tree sent out several whips toward the beaver.

The beaver was still constricted by the roots and the vicious whips fell upon its skin. It quickly drew blood and the beaver started bleeding.

Graaaa!

The beaver let out a scream of pain. It looked like the banyan tree beast was going to win but it made the mistake of letting up off the attack. Paired with its anger and powerful teeth, the beaver chomped through the woody roots that wrapped around its body.

The banyan tree beast realised its blunder and attempted to restrict the beave again, but all attempts would end up in failure. The beaver continued to chomp through all the attacks that were directed toward him.

The beaver took the opportunity and quickly dived into the banyan tree beast to devour if properly. The beaver moved like a lion in savanna and pounced onto the beast. They both tumbled and created tremors throughout the whole jungle.

Jacob was caught up in all this but he wasn't fearing well throughout the brawl. The shockwaves would bear heavily on his brain. This was when he found out he could expel his mentality to lessen the pain of the terrifying shockwaves.

The beaver mounted atop the banyan tree root and used its large yellow teeth and powerful jaws to chomp into the tree beast. The beaver made it look like it was butter, he gnawed on the tree beast ignoring all the attacks coming its way.

The banyan tree beast became weaker and weaker until the beaver chewed it in two.

Graaa!

The beaver held down the banyan beast with its two close as it chewed it to death. It roared in victory and tore the leaves off the tree. The beaver was eating the leaves from the banyan tree. Jacob was half passed out from the whole ordeal.

Several minutes of the beaver happily feasting when it sensed something ominous around it.
